The Talon issue is a matter of its lips gripping the gray pusher cage too tightly, preventing the pusher rod from retracting once it moves forward to fire a dart. You can solve the issue by making snips to the gray cage so that the Talon won't bite the plastic, or buy Out Of Dart's mag adapter 3d printed piece which will prevent the blaster from pulling half length darts back due to the extra feed lip grip
@@darkstar2682 Not that I'm aware of, perhaps that is caused by the pusher sliding out a full length right under the dart that is being directly pushed out. Or that the gear speeds up momentarily for double feeds

I do hope they’ll make a budget adventure force version of this, since the Regulator was my first blaster I reeaally like select fire blasters. A shame nerf never made an improved version that doesn’t shred darts.

The main appeal for Dart Zone/Adventure Force products is that most of their stuff resemble actual firearms, but can still be identified as toys. Not to mention they hit HARD.
tbh, the inconsistent full auto sounded really neat! if they made a full auto pink shell SMG and called it the "Heartbeat" with hearts and stuff, it would be a really fun gimmick!
You might even say it’s a lipo blaster with an adapter included to power with AA, for those who wouldn’t know or care otherwise. Truly, a hobby grade blaster
Nerf: we discontinued the Stryfe but kept the Warden. Dart Zone: we just created a new blaster that shoots NERF elite darts at 160fps and is compatible with all your nerf elite magazines!
Easily the best review of this blaster so far. The targeting inconsistency is because there's no real rifling and the more velocity you add, the more pronounced the aerodynamic variables the darts have to cope with. The way to reduce this is adding spin to the darts. This will be possible with something like a worker scar rifling attachment, but it will require some thought to integrate it, whether something can be made to fit in the existing mussel perhaps?! Bradley Phillips recently demonstrated the massive impact the correct barrel and rifling can have on high velocity sealed breach dart blasters (sniper style). Think it was to dial in his scope on a worker swift.
Some flywheel cages tilt and add angle so the spin helps the darts be more accurate. Can't use scar barrels on flywheels. At least I have never seen or heard of anyone making that work.
I love how advanced this blaster is! The fact that it's got an XT-60, a variable firing mechanism, and brilliant performance with AAs makes this so innovative and I think it'll be a real gamechanger. Thanks for the brilliant review Coop, happy foam-flinging! 🧡💜💙
Frank was so excited by the technical aspects of this thing that he didn't even take a second look at that genuinely kinda nice red dot attachment. Dart Zone even has kickass attachments for their kickass blaster.
Non adjustable red dots are pretty useless, yeah they can be sighted in but only for 1 distance, i would of preffered 5$ off the price tag and some built in small irons.

One quick note, you actually can modify a stryfe to shoot both half and full length darts. Worker has an upgrade part for it that works extremely well Also, there is a fix for the talon mag issue. Look at Foam Blast’s video about it if you’re interested

The current worker Pusher for The stryfe is designed to push short darts and long darts. My stryfe works great and can switch between long and short darts as easy as a Nexus.
One thing to consider when using a LiPo aswell is that with a LiPo the motors dont get bogged down near as much as double a's at a sustaned high rate of fire. I will probably use a LiPo for that reason alone if I ever get this.
Btw, the rubber grip is for more control on the gun. It works like on a real firearm grip, where you have more control and maneuverability without the grip slipping out of your hand.
Yeah, that design will completely eliminate your hand slipping out of the blaster if you have sweaty palms during Nerf wars, but if they dont, they will still dig it because its feels like gripping a foamy grip
10:27 its a very new and innovative concept, so like, they will improve on it, perhaps the mark 3 was more of a test, to see how the community would like it, and they will probably expand on the select fire and the rof on new updated designs

Quite funny that “knock offs” have become the much better option to nerf blasters. I miss the old days of the yellow N-strike blasters and modding with Pennies and electrical tape, rather than 3D prints and custom circuits as advanced as they are today. I’m happy we got blasters like this to keep us invested in the foam flinging.
The reason why full length got more of a benefit from lipos is because of the higher current output of lipos that prevent the fly wheels from decelerating as much mid launch. 8 AAs in series should provide similar if not more voltage than lipos, so both have the same max rpm flywheels. TLDR, lipos better current is harder to bog down but AAs and lipos should have similar effect at low fire rates.

I kinda wish Dart Zone improving the semi and full auto modes with full length darts (because in semi it sometimes fire 2 darts in one trigger pull) and I freaking wish to add the 3-round burst because Frank is an operator and make the rate of fire the same as like a Hyperfire on both ammo types. Also the MK3 really needs an extended thumbscrew by Worker if you're using LiPos all the time
This is a 430 dart challenge competitor. Also dart zone makes nerf its servant when it comes to accuracy and FPS but nerf does have some good guns, so I like both.
I think range time with frank should come back, but now it could be high performance edition because of all of these options, and maybe a modified nerf blaster on the side as well

mine came in the mail yesterday, amazing blaster! if anyone is looking for a high preformance mag fed flywheeler, this is it if you have the money. if you are looking for a cheaper option, the spectrum still has pretty good preformance and amazing ergonomics, but no select-fire, half length dart compatibility, and the stock is way to short on the spectrum. the full auto is kinda slow for the price, but thats fine cuz if you are good with semi auto you can get a good fire rate. also the red dot is perfect exept for in low light conditions.
You cannot learn to mod for much less money. The tools to mod a stryfe/spectrum cost over $50. Then the stuff you put in a 150 fps stryfe cost $70. The blaster is $20-$30 new. The Lipo and Charger stuff is over $65 (a top rechargeable 8 AA setup is $35 and can be used for far more things). Lipos have inconveniences AAs don't. If you want just one 150 fps flywheeler this is much cheaper and easier and doesn't require Lipo care.
I have a mk3 and my consistency with both types of dart is very consistent Edit: I also think most people who buy this blaster would use short darts anyway due to the fact that they are superior to full length darts, I don't think full length darts are really a competitive thing anymore. ( in my opinion )

My best guess would be that with full length darts, dart #2 somehow gets dragged with dart #1 so they shoot right after the other without the push rod going trough a full cycle. So by the time the push rod comes back for dart #2 it was already fired, so it needs to go trough another cycle to catch dart #3.
My guess is inconsistent full length auto feeding sounds like a mag issue. Either mag fit is a bit tight and dart tips cause too much friction, or spring it too weak and can't keep up with pusher and every third shot it basically fires a blank. Would kind of explain why there's no issue with half lengths, they're shorter and lighter and give spring more time to feed next round before pusher cuts it off
The full auto is pretty weird, but I think it’s almost good for the consistent inconsistency. Having short little bursts actually seems useful, but then to be able to constantly suppress an area gives it a weird advantage.
Couldn't you theoretically insert blank AA batteries to lower the voltage and reduce speed? Even using NiMH batteries would reduce the voltage, basically what happens to every flywheel-based blaster when the batteries start running low, voltage drops and so does top velocity...
If I ever properly get into the hobby (not sure of activity availability where I live in Scotland) this would definitely be on my consideration list for a higher velocity blaster that has a lot of customisation and modification options if I ever feel the need for it.
Is it just me or why does the full auto burst like 2 or 3 darts out at a time instead of actual full auto? But anyway that MK3 looks kick ass I’d totally buy one myself if I had the money lol
The key here is Nerf repackaged rival and typically the first out in any series is bad, DZ straight up gives the modding community what they want and is bringing awarness of what a blaster can be by making good products.

Scar barrels don’t work on flywheels cause there’s no air pressure. Dart type plays a way larger role in accuracy. DZ waffles are the best

Dart Zone really just released a high end modded blaster to the commercial market for a semi reasonable price.
Now they need to go lower by making their hopper-fed offerings use mags.
I kinda wish Dart Zone improving the semi and full auto modes with full length darts (because in semi it sometimes fire 2 darts in one trigger pull) and I freaking wish to add the 3-round burst because Frank is an operator and make the rate of fire the same as like a Hyperfire on both ammo types.
Also the MK3 really needs an extended thumbscrew by Worker if you're using LiPos all the time
This thing is just an OP masterpiece, What a phenomenal blaster, if I had the money, I would gladly go out and buy this.

This is a 430 dart challenge competitor. Also dart zone makes nerf its servant when it comes to accuracy and FPS but nerf does have some good guns, so I like both.
I remember I use to be obsessed with nerf guns every now and then you pop up in the algorithm and it makes me remember the old days.
I think range time with frank should come back, but now it could be high performance edition because of all of these options, and maybe a modified nerf blaster on the side as well

mine came in the mail yesterday, amazing blaster! if anyone is looking for a high preformance mag fed flywheeler, this is it if you have the money. if you are looking for a cheaper option, the spectrum still has pretty good preformance and amazing ergonomics, but no select-fire, half length dart compatibility, and the stock is way to short on the spectrum. the full auto is kinda slow for the price, but thats fine cuz if you are good with semi auto you can get a good fire rate. also the red dot is perfect exept for in low light conditions.

Great review, my Mk. 3 arrives on the 7th and I've already ordered the fix for the Talon issue from Out of Darts.
You cannot learn to mod for much less money. The tools to mod a stryfe/spectrum cost over $50. Then the stuff you put in a 150 fps stryfe cost $70. The blaster is $20-$30 new. The Lipo and Charger stuff is over $65 (a top rechargeable 8 AA setup is $35 and can be used for far more things). Lipos have inconveniences AAs don't. If you want just one 150 fps flywheeler this is much cheaper and easier and doesn't require Lipo care.

Edit: I also think most people who buy this blaster would use short darts anyway due to the fact that they are superior to full length darts, I don't think full length darts are really a competitive thing anymore. ( in my opinion )

My best guess would be that with full length darts, dart #2 somehow gets dragged with dart #1 so they shoot right after the other without the push rod going trough a full cycle. So by the time the push rod comes back for dart #2 it was already fired, so it needs to go trough another cycle to catch dart #3.
full length darts have a faster velocity, because of their weight and partially due to more contact with the flywheels.

My guess is inconsistent full length auto feeding sounds like a mag issue. Either mag fit is a bit tight and dart tips cause too much friction, or spring it too weak and can't keep up with pusher and every third shot it basically fires a blank. Would kind of explain why there's no issue with half lengths, they're shorter and lighter and give spring more time to feed next round before pusher cuts it off
I love it when he used full auto with nerf brand darts, he used a Rapidstrike magazine.
Dart Zone is truly a Nerf killer. I'm hopeful to see what the future holds for Dart Zone and Hasbro.

The full auto is pretty weird, but I think it’s almost good for the consistent inconsistency. Having short little bursts actually seems useful, but then to be able to constantly suppress an area gives it a weird advantage.

Couldn't you theoretically insert blank AA batteries to lower the voltage and reduce speed? Even using NiMH batteries would reduce the voltage, basically what happens to every flywheel-based blaster when the batteries start running low, voltage drops and so does top velocity...

those half length waffleheads are accurate AF. These dart zone blasters though. I want them all and would totally start competing with these.
If I ever properly get into the hobby (not sure of activity availability where I live in Scotland) this would definitely be on my consideration list for a higher velocity blaster that has a lot of customisation and modification options if I ever feel the need for it.
Is it just me or why does the full auto burst like 2 or 3 darts out at a time instead of actual full auto? But anyway that MK3 looks kick ass I’d totally buy one myself if I had the money lol

The key here is Nerf repackaged rival and typically the first out in any series is bad, DZ straight up gives the modding community what they want and is bringing awarness of what a blaster can be by making good products.
