I couldn’t agree more. To be honest as a 64cc saw I wasn’t that impressed. When I found out you could put the 79cc top end on it and I did, it became a beast! Love this saw!
Thank you, my wife designed that and I am looking into getting it out on some hats! You are correct the Tigers will be home watching Pujols! There’s a reason that shirt is in my work clothes wardrobe.
I believe I have a full chisel on it right now. I hit it with a file before my next cutting session and it was cutting the best I’ve ever had it. Absolutely destroyed the timber!
Yes it is. I picked up a quick attach 3pt adapter plate so I can use it both ways. I am going to have to pick up a heavier duty adapter though as I am stressing my current one well beyond it’s rated limits.
The current adapter plate I have came from Titan. It is not real heavy duty though and will eventually just be used for a snow plow I adapter to fit it. I am looking at one from Spartan Equipment that is heavier duty but have not ordered it yet.
I'm in the market for a log grapple. What are your thoughts with it being so far from the mount point? I'm a bit concerned about the lost capacity for having the load so far out front.
A lot of that depends on the size of tractor/skid steer. I like the ability to run this on my 3pt for the really heavy stuff. I believe they make one that is dedicated quick attach now which may be a little shorter but I’m not sure.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors I called them today and he said the SSQA version is 4' out from the plate, but offered to adjust it however close I wanted if that was a concern. I've got a 60hp Kubota L6060, and can lift just under 2k as-is. I have some pretty large logs here in TN and am afraid I won't be able to use it that far out.
Heath that 1K is just around the corner now 👍she sounds a little rough tonight🤔 spark plug? Course I’m old and going deaf 😏 really like that ⛓🪚 🪵🔥🇺🇸 Rick
Thanks Rick. Yeah definitely closing in on it. Probably have to clean the air filter and sharpen the chain. May need a small carb adjustment as well since I have put a little time on it since replacing the top end to bring it from 64cc to 79cc.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors I know it’s hard to hear it when you are operating it and wearing hearing protection, just play back the video when you were cranking it…..or as I said, may just be my bad hearing 🤔👍
Will do. I plan on bringing it over to my brothers next time I head across the state. He knows a lot more about this stuff than me. Once we get it all dialed in it will rip even better! Love this saw.
That Dolmar is king in it's class absolutely awesome saw!

That's a great way to save your back what a great attachment.
Did you purchase the grapple new? how long did it take for delivery and are you happy with it?
I did purchase it new, I do not remember how long it took to get it, I bought it about 8-9 years ago. Definitely happy with it over the years!
Ok excellent ty I guess I will go fourth with my purchase from them.
Great video!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thanks David. Have a great day!
Love the HWM and flag in your opening. 👍🏻
Your Tigers won’t see much of October this season. But my Cardinals might.
Cheers 🇨🇦

That Makita is eatin it up. Full chiseled or semi-chiseled chain?
I believe I have a full chisel on it right now. I hit it with a file before my next cutting session and it was cutting the best I’ve ever had it. Absolutely destroyed the timber!
That husky bar oil is good stuff but getting expensive where I’m at it’s almost 30 bucks a gallon an 144.55 for 6 gallons
Cam, it has definitely gone up in price a lot over the past few years! I’ve been running some STP lately that seems to be pretty good.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors that’s good stuff to but for the money that country line bar oil ain’t bad at all
I’ve been trying to stock up! I don’t see prices coming back down that’s for sure.
It the grapple the same one you use on your 3 point hitch?

@@hardworkingmanoutdoors where do you recommend getting the adapter plate, I have a John Deer

Like LTD. already stated 1K is around the corner just keep plugging away..
The saw was sounding mean and tossing all kinds of chips..😁👍
Thanks Daniel. Same to you. Actually on the road now to get my new splitter! Need to catch up on video editing and get some posted!

Ah yeah hard to say, I believe the lift on my tractor is a little over 4k. It’s a beast! Definitely more than the grapple is rated for.
