I was having the same problem with my Mini, & I did exactly the same as changing the spark plugs & coil packs & now it’s working like new again. Thank you for this video.
Just bought a r60s for my wife couple of months ago and first thing I did on it was replace timing chain and im glad I did there was already a small broken plastic at the bottom from the guide rails. A couple of weeks after a misfire came up lol luckily it was a spark and coil combination that corrected the problem. I was informed when replacing coils on the r60 that it needs them with heat protection shield such as the oem ones have.
Easy fix, i had a tuning (stage 1) last summer and it was also not running normal. After changing the plugs and coil packs as you did, the car runes super smooth again 👌😎
Nice video as usual. Glad you got it sorted too. Hope the check light is nothing too serious? Certainly miss getting my hands dirty and working on my cars...aah, those were the days:)
Could replacing these parts in the video help the problem of my 2016 mini countryman S juttering, slow acceleration, check engine light, and reduced engine power light.
I spent £3000 to get a UK dealer to fix a 2011 Cooper misfire. Drove it away and the fault was still there! To give then their due they took it straight back in and provided another fancy courtesy Mini, no extra charge. Told me it was a spark plug gap. Yes. Honestly. They also cracked the windscreen but paid my excess.
Will do that for the next spark plug video I have to do on this! Thanks for the feedback! Here is a good gap resource if it helps! www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/general-mini-talk/193409-a-basic-guide-to-spark-plugs.html
Wheel bearings might be you next project. I have a 2014 countryman all 4 S and have replaced three of mine so far. I did both of the front and the left rear. I have 97,000 miles on my countryman. Trick to doing the front is you have to turn the wheel to be able to access the bolts to remove them. Also just did the drive belt this past week. That was a fairly easy job. I Did have to remove the front right headlight and pull back the inside fender cover.

Nice!
I'm glad that went well! I would be curious about the O2 sensors.
How is everything going ...?
I have a question when you make the change of the spark plug coils later not you to reset any code on the board.

Thank you and yes, glad I got it sorted too! Otherwise I would have had to get one of the other cars out for the winter 🥶

Nice video! I have 2012 Countryman with a SRS airbag and seat belt light. Have you had any issues like that? Thanks!
Hmmm I have not unfortunately....

Yes. Honestly.

😬 yikes!
Nice! The Countryman is back on the road. Maybe perform fluid flushes (power steering/coolant/brake) then look into O2 and or possible turbo
Damn.. wish you provided the "how to properly gap"... and the right gap distance

Thanks for the info!
unless you clear the codes after you fix it the check engine light will still be there for a few days until the computer lets it go
Does this work on 2015-2016 F56?! I think I’m having the same issue
Yes it does. Remember Nick replaced all the plugs and coil packs due to the high mileage instead of replacing just one plug/coil
Oil pump. Timing chain
It’s normally the coil packs!👌
Sure is a common problem
