still waiting for the Batman game where Bruce is an angsty teen
Lmao
Does Batman Lego count?
Yep
I think you know this by now, but Roger Craig Smith Aka Kyle Crane, Sonic, and a bunch of characters plays Batman in this game
@@theblacknexusyt
Arkhan Origins is underrated. It has the best cutscenes, artstyle and overall tone in the series and the origin story was done well.
And arguably has the best DLC.
Shame WB Games weren’t able to continue their success into Gotham Knights. Such a bland game with no personality in comparison to the Arkham Titles.
It has the worst art direction, mission design and narrative in the whole franchise. Arkham City and Asylum are leaps and bounds more accomplished.
man, at this point it's overrated considering how many people say that it's underrated
Best Bosses
Batman voiced by Ezio Auditore aka Roger Craig Smith
He did a great job honestly
@@Batmanisme Indeed he did
Bene!
Good to know, although I played the Ezio series with Italian audio and English subs because some of the fake Italian accents made my ears bleed. :-)
Also sonic I think
If anyone hasn’t finished this game, I would definitely do so because it has some of the best boss fights of the entire Arkham series and Troy bakers performance as joker was also pretty phenomenal
Lol loved your reaction to realizing Kevin Conroy isn’t in this one. Also that Joe Pesci impression/reference was the BEST🤣
I personally enjoy roger craig smith more than kevin conroy
@@NakedusSnake777 That's fair, Kevin Conroy is the iconic Batman, but i think it's fair to give an applause to the other VA's. I personally loved Jensen Ackles' Batman.
he is ezio's voice actor too so i really liked him as batman
@@anuvette also Kyle Crane from Dying Light
Roger also voices Sonic The Hedgehog in the games for now
By far my favourite Arkham game - I know I’m in the minority. I just have such a fond memory of opening this game on Christmas Day and playing it nonstop for days
The fact that the game story coincidently happens on Christmas helps.
Like Batman Returns, I love that Dark gothic Christmas atmosphere
Also the Joker Hotel section have very Die Hard vibes
It honestly feels like a tradition to come back to this game once a year in December.
Perfect Christmas game !
me too, its the game came with my ps3 bundlle in 2013
I fuckin love Roger Craig Smith’s interpretation of Batman, I think he does a fantastic job
For any future stuff I'd say while nobody could replace Kevin Conroy, he could certainly be a worthy successor.
I agree, though for me Jason O' Mara from the DCAMU is a worthy successor too
i just love how brutal Batman is in this game :D
Yeah :D
Yeah, but he's pretty Savage in Arkham Knight as well
Jayvee must've used cheat codes. Otherwise there's no way he could've beaten the electrocutioner on his first try
Dont know if your joking or if you actually dont know but electrocutinor is one tap for everyone
@@Memedude_L1 You can see how easy it was to unplug him.
@@Memedude_L1 he was joking
@@Memedude_L1 elecrocutioner is the hardest boss fight man has ever faced in any ham game, are you stupid?
Devs nerfed electrocutioner because he would one shot Ras Al Gul
Always thought that revealing all the assassins was a bit of a mistake. Imagine the surprise with each villain entrance and wondering who the next one could be. Underrated game.
I really love how in the Deathstroke fight he starts hard-countering any move you perform twice. Being a rather early boss battle, it really teaches you to use all your moves instead of just a few
My only complaint is the fact that Black Mask got pushed aside as the main antagonist. We already had 2 games where Joker is the main one... Still my favorite game
100%
Batman Arkham origns is my favorite Arkham game
"Imagine an alternate universe where Batman uses weapons"
You mean Flashpoint Batman? Who is actually Thomas Wayne?
I remember the first time I found out he was Thomas. Shit had me stunned
Earth 2 Batman is a version of Bruce that also uses weapons (he's also Thomas Wayne sometimes too)
Gunslinger Batman be like
The voice behind Batman in this game is Roger Craig Smith who is known for everyone’s favourite assassin Ezio Aulditore
Arkham Origins is one of my favorite games ever. It's not the best game of all time but it holds so much nostalgia in my heart and I really think is what I think of the most when I think of Batman as a character. I love his growth in this game and especially the fact he is utilized as a fighter AND detective. The other Arkham games are amazing as well but this one will always be my favorite.
You know this game was definitely underrated when it first came out. More recently however people have gone back to this game and have praised it for its great story and amazing performances and it has in my opinion the second best story in the series with the first being Arkham City. It also has the best and most accurate depiction of Bane ever outside the comics.
My favorite Arkham game I’m still mad it didn’t get remastered in the “Arkham collection”
It goes Knight, Origins, City, then Asylum for me. Origins is SUPER UNDERRATED, still waiting for a remaster or remake. Roger Craig Smith KILLS it as Batman in this game, I still can't believe he can voice Batman and Ezio! Troy Baker KILLS it as Joker too! ❤
I recommend playing this every Christmas with family members, it is such a surreal experience
I'm pretty sure Kevin was working on Arkham Knight so they brought Roger as Batman in Orgins since Orgins was meant to hold people over during the production of Arhkam Knight
Arkham Origins had the best story and boss fights in the series! It's my favorite TBH, I just wish they would remaster it for next gen consoles!
Honestly, is it just me or does anyone else like the idea of Kevduit, Jayvee and Oboeshoesgames doing a vid together? Hilarity, chaos, and comedy are sure to follow. Great vid by the way man! I was wondering when you'd get to this one! Keep it up man and stay safe, I love the content!
Keep the shoe man out and I'd love it
Omg I watch all 3 of them too, they have the same type of content so that def could work
Been going through the games again recently. Started with Origins, which was great. Asylum is incredibly dark and fun, makes you think. And City is just on another level with free roam capability and challenges. Going to keep moving along the games are so fun
This game is my Christmas game every year now its awesome loved it when it came out despite all the negative stuff around the game. Love all the arkham games
One aspect of this game that I never see people talk about is thi dialogue. The writing is so smooth and cool in this.
All the Arkham Games are bangers, Origins had my favorite story.
Honestly, origins is my favorite in the whole franchise. it was my first Arkham game and I fell in love with it. And it's still my favorite. This game had so many underrated things and people really gave it a lot of hate for no reason. This game did a bunch of stuff the best in the franchise. First off the story of this game was by far my favorite. A perfect prequel to the upcoming Arkham games.. First off this game had the batcave.. and also had the best alfred and bruce wayne by far. Their relationship and how they cared for each other was so well done. The cinematics for this game was phenomenal. It had some of the best moments in the franchise. (The joker reveal, bane attacking the batcave, the 8 assassin's introduction, the hotel scene,) all of these are some of the best moments in the franchise. And my personal favorite.. the lacy towers murder mistery is not only the most underrated and best moment in the franchise. Personally it's one of the most haunting and best scenes ever in gaming. It was perfection. The best part of this game was actually the joker despite people complaining so much.. this game executed the introduction of joker and how his obsession begins with batman perfectly. So perfectly. The backstoy.. how their rivalry starts is just so good, and builds up for Arkham asylum and city perfectly. Also this game had the best adaptation of bane ever. I would say even better than tom hardy's. And of course the best boss fights in the game. The whole Christmas soundtracks. All were so good. Hating this game is a crime really. And troy baker and roger Craig absolutely nailed it so good. This game showed us a more aggressive and young rageful batman so good. Absolutely amazing. That's why I think this game is the best. It also perfectly explains how killer croc is more human looking and just grows more into a monster in the games. And also why bane is such a big mindless brute in Arkham asylum and why he forgot Batman's identity
This felt like a more serious Batman game than City or Asylum. Dealing with assassins and more dangerous versions of certain villains before they become goofy is so much better than dealing with silly gimmicky villains. Batman being more violent in his attacks and having much less patience with shit is much more satisfying than how he acts later.
I literally just started replaying the series! This is perfect timing!
Origins is the first Arkham game i played and enjoyed every second of it.
mine too and when i saw Akrham City i was like huh Origins feels better with controls and combat feeling and all that.
This dude is probably the second best Batman voice after Kevin Conroy
This is my favorite Batman game I don't care what people say.
This game is better than a lot of people gave it credits for back when it came out.
I believe opinions have softened over the year, and many have begun to truly appreciate it.
@@thegrayyernaut this game to me definitely has the best boss fights in the series. That’s what I love about all the Arkham games tho is legitimately they are all amazing. Some have problems but overall really good games.
@@luckyraygun1607the only good boss fight in origins is a ripoff of Mr freeze from AC
@@thegrayyernaut the only prblm it had was bugs & glitches so ppl ofc hated it, now they're fixed. It's a great game!
People will find any reason to hate this game, tbh I think the only people that still say they do are just saying that because they don't wanna admit their wrong . I will say it this is an amazing and great game phenomenally put together by WB Montreal no game is truly perfect but how awesome was it that we got a snowy Gotham city???? I think it truly was amazing, will always be a great entry to the Arkham verse
Batman was just brutal in this game and i love it so much, my favorite Arkham game and i wish they released it on ps4
I’m positively surprised in this game. I was missing this in my collection, bought it recently and enjoy the game very much!
I can’t believe it’s been 10 years when the game came out
bro that video fr came at that time where i was back in my „arkham marathon“ and its priceless
thanks jayvee
I still believe this to be the best Batman game oat
i loved the alfred cutscenes in the game. they were so emotional and i loved it how much alfred cared about bruce
Batman's voice reminds me of some NYPD cop who liked to dive and shoot at criminals while slowing down time
Also had a dark atmosphere, always raining 🌧️, “the past is a gaping hole” 😅
Arkham fans were really scared of this game when it came out but it happened to be the best atmosphere imo
Always loved the fact that the penguin had a broken bottle over his eye instead of a monocle
That was City not Origins.
This game is soooo good!
I'm really glad you played it!
The more praise the game gets over the years the better it gets.
Also Troy Bakers Joker? Perfection
(and roger craig smith as batman is top notch aswell!)
the flow of the combat is silkier than butter.*chef's kiss*
Our Guy Jayvee is back with game
This game gave us the best portrayal of Bane
I’d replay this before I replayed Knight.
I love Arkham Origins it’s one of my favorite game
Those knife guys always get me when I get all fancy trying to do the special combo. Cape swipe and beat down is much safer.
0:42 Oh You sweet summer child... little that You know...
It's not Kevin... It's Roger. Doesn't mean he isn't good, he's doing pretty well as angry Batman
Kevin is really great as calm and stoic Batman
I started replaying the game 2 days ago
Such a lovely game
12 batmans comings for you 34 He is breaking down the door 56 He finds you and does a kick!
I never played Origins, but I just watched a Lets Play of City, and seeing Origins now, I have to say it has actually improved quite a bit graphically and in terms of animations over City.
Not really. Maybe you’re used to the Return To Arkham remake which is a downgrade.
This is my favorite batman game, i beat all of the games except Arkham knight. And out of all of those origins is the best.
Kevin conroy and mark hamil arent voicing batman and the joker because this was made by a different studio and it was a game to sort of keep fans entertained during the making of arkham knight
This is my favorite Batman game when I was younger the online mode was so fun
You definitely feel like Batman the most in this game. I love the interrogations where he picks up thugs and cops with one hand, gets the info he needs, and then knocks them the fuck out. The entire vibe of Origins feels inspired by the 90s animated series, which makes sense because it was produced by WB. The thugs look much better than the Rocksteady games and you can clearly see the animated series inspiration behind the character models. Despite its flaws, I really like Origins; in some ways, it's my favorite Arkham game. The boss fights, villains, Christmas theme, shock gloves, and DLCs make it a memorable game. The only downsides are the minor bugs, the lack of side quests and it's really annoying that you can't switch bat suits until New Game +.
But there are sidequests like Anarky or that murder case with a man who fell out from the roof. They aren't the most interesting but it's always something.
One of the main reasons this is a prequel with Roger Craig Smith as Bruce is because Kevin Conroy was recording all the dialogue for Arkham Knight so WB Montreal was tasked with this game to tide Arkham fans over for a couple years. Also please do another Origins video
The music was amazing as well
14:53 Batman with weapons would basically be the Punisher but wayyyyy too op
I loved this game in 2013 and in 2023 I still love it and honestly it's my favorite arkham game
Roger craig smith and troy baker played amazing young batman and jokers imo.
Origins is super Underrated, personally it's my 2nd favorite Arkham Game
There is an alternate universe where Bruce Wayne and his mom are killed and his dad survives and he uses guns and basically becomes the bat-punisher, great idea imo.
Just played through Asylum and City and have just started Knight. It's insane how good these games are considering their age. Mods were released recently (they're on Nexus) that improve all of the textures for Asylum and City and both games look excellent. The little details they added in these games and the variation in quest design really hammer home how many corners are cut in modern AAA games... It's easy to think you're getting bored with gaming but then you go back and play games like these and remember why you used to love it.
There are so many good older games that I played through once and then moved on from that I'm going to go back to now....
Roger Craig smith still did such a good job as Batman. I would take him in any animated serious/video game since we can’t have the GOAT Kevin Conroy anymore.
I hope this game gets a remake
I really enjoyed it
There was some frame rate issues here and there due to the limited time of development but it did certain things much better than any of the other games.
That fight with deathstroke is still the best boss fight not only in this game but in the entire arkham series.
hey Jay there is a couple of comics where Batman uses guns, in a universe known as the Flashpoint timeline, Thomas Wayne survives usually he was killed alongside his wife Martha Wayne
but in the universe Bruce dies causing the sanity of both Martha and Thomas to be shattered, Thomas becoming Batman operates much more ruthlessly and frequently kills people
Martha becomes the Joker and kills Alfred and its a whole thing really
Man Batman Arkham Origins holds a special place in my heart since it was one of the first games I played on my WIi u addictively. Yes, ( I had the wii u version 💀) But I think they need to remaster this game along with Asura's Wrath 🙏🏿
Indeed I’ve enjoyed Arkham origins ever since I played it in my Wii U, it’s too bad many people hate it
Ik you only play Abit of a game but finish this for us. Love your commentary
I still fire up Asylum and City just to play the Challenge maps occasionally. So fun.
you said alternate universe here batman uses gun, it exixsts but in that it is actually his father, in the universe - justice league flashpoint and flashpoint beyond, should definitely check it out.
Dude it has Chris Redfield as young Batman. I'd say it's a pretty good stand in. No one can replace Kevin Conroy but this actor is pretty good
Orgins is legitimately a good arkham game. I honestly liked it more than asylum and found the abdounce of boss fights awesome
I think I preferred origins most, felt more focused, concise. Same reason I kinda prefer the original Red Dead Redemption.
I put hundreds of hours into the PvP of this game, it was such a fun game mode
I enjoyed this game and its DLC (got it from Bundlestars/Fanatical for about 7 bucks on a deep sale) but there were definitely more bugs in it than in Asylum or City. Still, it was more Batman Arkham combat and beating up mooks never gets old.
As someone who was used to Conroy as Batman, before this game...I still really like this actor. He tones his voice down/has a chill, yet hard core tone...he made it his own. Might be my favorite.
him: "is kinda funny how people sort of know batman, but they don't"
batman: "oh really?" *yeets the criminal to heaven"
I don’t think Batman with guns is a nightmare more like a Grim Knight
Best batsuit IMO
My favourite of the Arkham series!
I really liked the villains in this game, arkham knight disappointed me on that aspect
It has the best bosses fight in the series 🔥🔥🔥
There is an alternate universe where Batman uses guns. But instead of Bruces parents dying, Bruce dies and his father becomes a more angry anti-hero batman and his mom is the Joker.
I really ned to paly this again. I got to the first boss on normal back when it came ut. died so many times and was like nah. I'm done. lol, Just bought all of the batman arkham games on steam for like 13$ so much content for the money.
You can hear some of Kevin Conroy voice in Roger Craig Smith's Batman
Can't remember in what part of this game you can't tell the voices apart
I loved this game my only issue is the bug with the Riddler side mission that never got fixed I can literally find no way around it
I played all Arkham games except origins but I will someday . And that Batman is the reason I started martial arts and weight training is something I’m grateful for him 👊
Always the rare game masterpieces these big compainies make but they are always too short
I miss this masterpiece...
23:25
Dude ?! I never noticed that and i played the hell out that game !
Alternate universe where batman uses weapons; there is one, it's covered in the flashpoint movie. It's Tomas wayne in an alternate universe where bruce was killed during the mugging instead of martha and tomas. Tomas became batman and uses his medical knowledge to perfect torture and handguns like red hood. I think in that story line Marta became the joker, as she went insane from the loss of her only son. It's super dark and I'd love to see more of that universe in animation and video games.
You really should play through this whole game and the rest of the Arkham games and post the videos!
Jay at 0:43 “Any Batman game that has Kevin Conroy as the voice is a banger no matter what.”
Origins: “True, but about that…”
My man really said “oh no” almost exactly like the meme🤣 10:38
This game made me feel like Batman.
Fyi the voice of Batman in this game is the voice of Kyle Crane in Dying Light.
Jayvee: _sees Killer Croc_ ah yes, a *lizard*
