I watched another channel where there were multiple kids and the gifts were so extravagant that even I was overwhelmed. The kids wouldn’t even look at the gifts but just moved to the next one and it seemed endless. Your kids appreciated ever moment and it was so refreshing. I realize to each their own but I am super proud of the kids you guys are raising.

Those kind of parents give an extravagant amount of gifts, instead of the guidance,love and attention they really crave... It's sad, the parents in this vlog are doing it right!!! They get gifts and treats, but within reason... They are being prepared for the adult world in every way ...

This is how I always wanted Christmas to be… we adopted and just have one child and it’s such a blessing to watch him on Christmas morning but I’d love to have 20 more beside him to share his joy ❤

Greatful yes, but happy and excited with crappy gifys ... not so much. Parents , prioritize all these kids you chose to have instead of gifts to eachbother. What little one wants clothes as their gift. Sorry I stumbled across. The mom in me hurts for those kids.

We spend a lot of money on music lessons and other activities that are not necessarily material but help grow their minds and experience.
These comments are ridiculous. A lot of us would rather invest in travel, extracurricular activities and experiences with our kids then a bunch of crap they’ll use for 5 min. that clutters your home.

How refreshing to find this channel! The previous family I watched are so spoiled by materialism that it broke my heart. Your children appreciate the smallest things and truly love each other. We had six kids and never a lot of money so when my kids got clothes and socks for Christmas they were truly grateful.

Great to see the "family gifts" being shared among your children! For those bemoaning the stuffies, fun socks and clothing- These kids recieved more than most children in this world do. Simple isn't something to be pitied. This is an obviously loving family with parents who invest in raising their children well.
The kids still enjoyed gifts of 2 (!) Yoto players, several Maileg mice and accessories, lots of beautiful picture books, a family game, etc. Sharing is what you do in large families and it is good for shaping character. A few things that are "just theirs" and the rest to share!

I just started watching you videos recently. I love your family and the values you teach your kids. I was very saddened by all the nasty comments. Never let anyone put you down. I can't imagine living in New York City and raising a family but especially a family of 12. Your children get so much love from you and you husband as well as each other. Love the civil war book. We have a library of them as we used to be civil war reenactors. I made the costumes and uniforms. Our children enjoyed learning the history.

Mom of 5 here! It’s so nice to see such a simple Christmas. I’ve been shifting our family to have less materialistic things Christmas also. We was once a family that would over buy which was ridiculous, because it took away the true meaning of Christmas.

While shopping for Christmas pajamas one year, my husband was shocked at how much it cost! The pj’s were given from me on Christmas Eve…. I raised 5 babies…. So, everything for you is twice as much! Wow!

Me and my husband are on a tight budget, to make sure the kids have a good Christmas we don’t give each other gifts, so our kids can have something nice, the little girl looked so sad, I’m sure even a second hand toy would have been appreciated

She had already gotten a doll in her stocking she really liked. I’ll admit I kind of blew it on getting her what I did. A month before she was BEGGING for this maileg pig, so we got it for her but when she opened it she wasn’t that impressed. She loves it now and sleeps with it but yes I should have known what a 3 year old wants is constantly changing.

I did a video on how we were giving our children 2 gifts each for Christmas, and someone commented that there are programs for people like us to get assistance so that our kids could have a good Christmas 😂 like seriously? Kids these days are spoiled rotten. In the Little house on the prairie books, Mary and Laura were thrilled to get a peppermint stick and a tin cup. What is this world coming to?
This worlds a dumpster fire, even Easter coming up and see all these moms do massive Easter baskets so much plastic crap. I got each of my boys a jelly cat plush bubbles and a few candies that’s it.
That little boy, at 50 min in, I felt so bad for him. He wanted boy toys SO BAD and all he got was clothes, socks, a stuffed animal and some girl mouse figures 😭buy that kid a car or a set of drums or something 😭he got shafted for sure
Since the family gifts were all seemingly girl based, my vote is that next year it is boy based family gifts!

We love it so much! The kids listen to stories as they go to sleep and it is really soothing. The favorite card is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and I’ll admit that one gets lost a lot but they always seem to find it!😅

That’s just sad they are at that age where they should get toys and I have never seen two kids with such sad faces ever. You and your husband got more and expensive gifts, but you couldn’t get them a big gift for each of them? Really sad they will remember this when they are older shame on you both. I would do without before I would see them with no toys.

While its true Christmas isn't all about gifts but i have issues with parents doing social media only and not actually providing the neceaties a child needs im a Christian too but if the child doesn't succeed in music for their future what then the more children you have and continue to have the harder to provide the basic things children need its the parents job to provide for the children not the children providing for parents Christmas is a joyful holiday for children its something most children look forward to all year and i truly could see the look on their faces they were all sad

Honestly what happened was a month earlier Enoch asked for the dinosaur and Melody asked for the pig. So I thought “perfect gift for Christmas!” But by the time Christmas rolled around they forgot they even wanted those things🤦🏼♀️ and all the big kids got “cooler” gifts for each other. So lesson learned. I’m going to see what the older kids are getting for eachother and get something similar for the little kids. After 20 years of being a mom I’m still learning. I guess that’s why grandmas are always so fun. They learned lessons many times over.❤️
Thankfully Naomi got Melody a little doll she really liked in her stocking and Enoch got a Lego car. Now all these months later Melody sleeps with her pig and Enoch sleeps with his dinosaur and the kids all fight over the Yoto players so thankfully it sort of worked out!😅

That was underwhelming. Poor girl that got nothing but clothes and no fun things like her siblings. Splurge a little parents - christmas comes but once a year. I just wanted to run out and get each child something great (and I m a single parent and by no means wealthy). 😮
We spend most of our money on music lessons for the kids. That’s sort of a year round gift. They cost $150 per lesson per kid so they are definitely being loved on. We don’t prioritize stuff whenever possible, we prioritize learning and experiences. We also just took a family vacation to San Diego ❤️✈️

I feel like clothes shouldn't be a gift. Kids could care less n at the end of the day they needs clothes so just get em but don't wrap n count it as gifts.

That really depends. My daughter wanted a unicorn onesie, so she got 1 from Sinterklaas (kind of like santa) and she loved it. Another year she got a new dress which was immediately her favorite. So nothing wrong with giving clothes! This year there will be less because of finances. But I know she is going to get enough. From my family! I just have some crafty things, 3 reading books, and 2 or 3 small toys. Maybe (if my money comes out ok) I will try to buy a rainbow high doll.
