- When it comes to e-commerce photography, it can be very tedious work. What sets apart an amateur online store from a professional one? How can you create consistency in your product photos and streamline your process? In this video, we cover 6 critical items to know and consider before you even begin shooting for your online store.

Good stuff! We don't have the budget for professional photography, so I do everything here in our store, using natural light at the right time of day as much as possible. This is very helpful for understanding a few other methods that can be used to get a better white background.

Automating / Batch processing photos. Custom scripts in photoshop? Ways to use technology and customization to increase efficiency. The background removal part and the planning/schedule part are huge! Would love to see another video diving into ways to tackle these!

Hmm, I haven't done too much with batch processing photos as I don't regularly shoot e-commerce photography now but would be interested to see how I could incorporate this.
You bring up some cool points here but I think it really comes down to the client. While the different industries have a general look sometimes you have clients that will want something completely different or just have varying budgets which call for new solutions.

Here is a tip for hanging a shirt or other garment on a white wall. If you cover the wall with white flannel, the fabric will stick to it and you can position it any way you want. This is a technique that quilters use to set up their blocks on the wall before they sew.

Haven't done a full tutorial on editing for e-commerce yet but we just dropped a video on changing the background color of a photo and retaining the shadows in photoshop if you're interested.

Can you do a detailed video on how to create a mood board?
I sell clothes on facebook. I bought a bale and got like 300 pcs of clothes. Its really crazy to prepare photoshoot ready products. I try to shoot like 30 pcs a day and do the editing. My problem is lightings. I would like to learn more about lightings. Your video is helpful

Great video. It would be helpful to do a video on how to resize the products for a cohesive look.
That's a great point! I briefly go over this in the video where we set up guides. If you are on photoshop I highly recommend going over the general size of all of you products to make sure they would fit given the margins (size of the space between your product and the edge). Then measure and set guides so that the product never passes that guide. This will ensure that your products are aligned when they land on the main page and see all the products.

If you search "fashion theme shopify" you should be able to find some pretty nice looking themes that would give you a nice head start on designing.
