Hii, I'm gonna start clothing business but I have no idea how to start. Can you please help me to start?
Dope video. I was a creative director for 2 decades working on various Fortune 500 brands. The biggest mistake I see people starting up make is that they design for themselves rather than a demographic. The people that get hung up on that and don’t evolve their brand foundation / brand voice to a specific demographic usually have a lack of sales. Art is obv subjective but in the saturated streetwear market you really have to design for what the demographic wants not what you personally think is cool. Once you make art that evokes that emotional connection w/ a specific audience all the marketing tactics become much easier.
Ralph Lauren specifically mentioned that he designs the clothes that he would like to wear himself.

A lot of things in fashion are cliche. Seeing graffiti would be inviting for a skate brand, neon forward colors, it's a vibe. Also, train tracks evoke a sense of mystery, journey, and usually the brown and green tones can be worked off of. I would say it really is up to your specific brand.
You are 100% right. I think the point I'm trying to make here is that too many people are doing it without actually giving it the thought you have here. Your attention to detail and being able to explain each element is what I'm looking for.
