How to Play Artificial Harmonics on the Guitar - One Minute Tutorial
Вставка
- Опубліковано 23 тра 2022
- Artificial harmonics are a really cool sound on the guitar and I find that non-guitar players are always really impressed with them. They aren't too terribly difficult to do. You just have to remember to be 12 frets higher than what is being fretted with the left hand and you need to be over the fret wire.

Finally, someone explains it well.
I am glad it helped!
Thanks for Sharing Robert
I knew about the basic harmonics.
But didn't know about fretting it and going higher up on the fretboard. So the C chord would be plucking the 15 A string then 14 and 13th fret for the c note on second string.
Much appreciated!
I am glad you found it helpful! I do have plans to make a longer version of this video. I was limited because of the 60 second max
Thanks for the lesson. Very useful

@@RobertLunnWhat was the song you gave as an example on the beginning of the video, by the way?
The beginning song is El Testament de Amelia. Beautiful song!
@@RobertLunn Thank you, I’ll search for it!
Cool tip.
Nice video❤❤❤
Thank you!
Thank you Sir:))
You are welcome!
Wayyy louder than the Tap! Thx!!
🙏🙏🙏
what's the name of the song you played in the beginning of the video? Nice tutorial btw
Thank you! It is called El Testament de Amelia
@@RobertLunn alright, thanks man!
mayuha nimo uy
Please 🙏 what was that song you were playing in the beginning I've been looking for that melody for YEARS
It is called, El Testament de Amelia. Beautiful song!
👌👌👌👏👏🌹🌹
😊🙏🙏
how are you doing those hammer-ons so loudly like i struggle with hammer-ons so much-
the harmonics too whattt
I used to do a lot of hammer-on exercises which helped a lot
@@RobertLunn yeah i probably should practice hammer-ons more lol
How would you do a harmonic on the 17th fret ? I need help with that :(
You would need to have a finger on a fret 12 frets bellow the 17th fret. These harmonics are always played 12 frets higher than what is going on in the left hand
@@RobertLunn what technique do you use for that? Just an FYI I messed up my nail on my ring finger so it’s difficult for artificial harmonics.
I am sorry about your nail! I use the technique I demonstrated in this video
What is the right way to go about 2 AH at once?
I don’t think I have ever done that before
Does he have a tab sheet for that song he played?
Contact me through my website (robertlunn.com) and I can get it to you
What was the first song you played as an example???
It was a song I made up
@@RobertLunn I'd love a full song cause that chord progression and phrasing was sentimental
It wasn’t a song I made up. I thought it was a different video. The song is El Testament de Amelia. Very popular song. You should be able to find a lot of versions of it on UA-cam
What fret are impossible to do natural harmonic
The strongest natural harmonics can be found at the 5th, 7th and 12th frets
I couldnt get it to work but maybe nails help
I have none
Hopefully with time you are able to
What is the name of the intro song?
It is called El Testament de Amelia
I still don't really get it. I'm trying but either i don't have the right touch, or my guitar is in serious need of a luthier. I can play normal harmonics fluidly, but el testimento de'amelia is really testing me right now. Seeing everyone in the comment section claiming how easy they understand it after this video only frustrates me more.(even though Im aware that 90% of them are full of it and don't even play guitar.)
It just takes time. Take it slowly and keep working
@@RobertLunn Hey Yeah! It's coming along slowly. Taking a bit of effort to focus on the right hand. I'll have to get it to the point of doing it semi consciously like with the last six months of Malaguena limbo ive been in. Thanks for the video.
my guitar makes no sound at all when i do this
I am sorry to hear that. Maybe it is a better technique to learn in person
