Thanks for the video content! Forgive me for chiming in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Rozardner Stopping Sounds Reality (google it)? It is a good exclusive guide for how to instantly slow down music by software minus the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my mate after many years got excellent results with it.
Artificial harmonics is what I came to learn and you showed me - bravo! I learned to play pinch harmonics from listening to Billy Gibbons back in the good ole days (La Grange etc).
Hey bro, i dont know your name but you are the cooolest most awsome person on this planet. I want you to know this! You are the best and you put in so much effort to bring us free tutorials that would otherwise cost us a lot. I want to take this moment and appreciate your effort. Keep it up man you are a HERO!
i would like to thank you, like really, thank you,for the time and effort you put into your tutorials, for free? my god,you must be my guitar messiah, really i can't appreciate this enough no matter how much i tried.
Clearly and soundly. Harmonics may to be a incredible partner! Easy to understand and what's the most impressive it's I only have a little fluency in English. Thanks for this great explaining!
I never thought of doing pinch harmonics that way without a pick, I always try to mimic a pick with my nail for the attack before touching it, but your way is pretty cool and not as hard as I thought it would be. Lenny Breau's harp harmonics which I didn't see in the video is beautiful, though it's a bit challenging and I'm guessing that's why you didn't do it in this video.
i already know this surprisingly from messing around with the guitar i placed my capo on 3rd fret and my harmonics on twelve sounded mute.. i kept messing around till i tried it on 14 but i didnt think of playing them with my fingers fretting i am used to few spots for them, loved this tutorial
I learned "El Testement d'Amélia", but the section that you do in artificial harmonics is driving me nuts, so i just play it straight. I will go back and learn it as meant to be. It's just doing the bass and harmonic at the same time! This lesson should help. Thank you.
pointers: - when playing harmonics release both index and thumb fingers at same time(at least that works for me) -press on steel fret lightly -make sure when playing any fret with your left hand(must), playing a harmonic must be 12 frets above with your right hand or else it wouldnt work.
Hey, I know this is a weird request since there is barely any coverage of it but i'd really love if you made a lesson for Two Rocks and a Cup of Water by Massive Attack. I'm sure you could make an incredible cover with harmonics. Would probably be my favorite guitar song ever, well over song of the golden dragon. I reckon it would be hard... maybe impossible but I don't have anything to lose for asking. Have a great day!
Maybe dimebag darrel used this technique with his tremolo bar to make all those different pitched screams, because most pinch harmoics sound the same (no finger on octive harmonic) with electric distorted and picked in the right spot. I love learning new stuff and having questions, you sir are Great!!!
Amazing. I just bought a guitar almost a month ago, and part of my practice was just messing around with it. I happened to come across artificial harmonics on my own, but had no clue how to implement them. Now I know they can actually be used for some amazing sounds. Thanks a lot for the video!
Cool bro thanks! 😉 I was looking for an answer about the harmonics possibilities for writing to the guitar in a jazz band, and that just provided it 😁🎶 Dogs, couch, reverse 😂
Hey, can you look up Alan Gogoll's song "Mulbery Mouse" and tell me what kind of harmonics he's using. He's not quite holding the frets down so it is just a little strange to figure out
Because you showed all harmonic techniques in this video i was able to find them on my guitar! thanks!!! for some reason on my guitar the sweetspot seems to be over the fretboard for some weird reason, hense why i couldn't figure it out. lol i kept looking at lessons and trying it going what the hell im touching the string everywhere for hours!! until i tried to move towards the fretboard then the bells rang.
Should you leave your index finger on the string to get the harmonic to ring or do you lift it off shortly softer picking with the thumb or other finger?
Paul Ashley have your index finger (picking hand) on the corresponding 12th fret and with your middle/4th finger (picking hand) play the string and a millisecond after you pluck that string remove all left hand fingers
Great lesson...thanks Although I still don't understand how to do the pinch harmonics. In fact...I have watched half a dozen videos from half a dozen youtubers and nobody's been able to explain or show it properly. Seems to be something that is difficult to teach...
no matter how hard i try i cant get it to work. is it cause its got really old strings? also thinking about getting an electric and how well that would work as well? (sorry, im basically brand new to guitar and im very interested in learning new things!)
Excellent and comprehensive lesson!!! But maybe you could index the longer vids... Artificial harm 1:44 Pinch harm 8:23 Harm with chords 14:08

Finally! Pinch harmonics without a pick! Great tutorial!
Thank you! This suddenly de-mystifies the whole thing. I could never see how people did this. Brilliant. 👏👏👏
Artificial harmonics is what I came to learn and you showed me - bravo! I learned to play pinch harmonics from listening to Billy Gibbons back in the good ole days (La Grange etc).
The only video that I found wich really explains the difference between Artificial and Pinch Harmonics.
Thank you so much!
Finally. No other video could help me understand pinched harmonics. Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thank you for uploading! Now I can play house of the risin sun with only artificial harmonics :D

OMG!!.. this is the video that i've been looking for, thank you so much, sir.
i saw the intro and immediately subscribed and liked the video
My guitar doesn't sound like that. I swear, I tried the best I could.
There's a spot of the string you need to find it to make your guitar scream
try harder, may be u can try the natural harmonics withoud any fred and go up from there
@@terb5854 can you do it on nylon strings?
My god my guitar sounds trash. The string is rusty and the action of the string is high. Very cheap guitar. Need to upgrade i think.
@Jon Dyoll after a month I finally found the sweet spot. I can now play harmonics even my guitar is trash and rusty strings. 😁
This really help me understand the technique, thanks for the lesson in comprehensive terms!
I think this video is extra useful to everyone interested in tap harmonics!I have enjoyed it a lot! Bravo!

I didn't even know you could play harmonics off the fret board...Sick tutorial, thanks so much.

I am thinking the B harmonic resonated in the puppies' ears. lol.

Thank you!
Its soo cool, i must play these 😭
I've been wondering if pinched harmonics was even ever since I've learned the guitar nearly 14 years ago, thanks
You are the best!
no matter how hard i try i cant get it to work. is it cause its got really old strings? also thinking about getting an electric and how well that would work as well? (sorry, im basically brand new to guitar and im very interested in learning new things!)
so hard to do without finger nails, i need to learn pinch harmonics for Regan's Theme from Exorcist 2
OMGGG i thought i had to buy new strings to play harmonics, i actually have to play specific frets. i thought you could play them anywhere lol
I have a question. Do we also hold a chord or fret from our otherhand??
Thnx!!! That's kinda cool and weird that it only works on the 12th fret
great, thank you
muito bom amigo, técnicas especiais, parabéns bom trabalho .
hi everyone ! i don't understand, my index finger is actually muting the spring, so i can't hear nothing. can i have more details ? thanks, maxime
Thanks so much
Cool stuff bro :)
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
hmm does lower tunings like Eb and bad intonation effect harmonics?
mine sound like an alligator is trying to fly
you are great!
1 hour of self practice and its ok to hear ...!
Thanks.
Idont get it whats the diffrence when u do it with left hand or not cuz it sounds better whithout it
My question is, how do you record it?
I cant play artificial harmonics. While trying to pluck the string, my index finger also lifts up and the harmonic doesn't play
Holy fuck thanks so so damn much
Does it help to have a good quality guitar? Or is just me hahahaha. Because i tried so hard i swear but it doesn't come out
Nice intro of the videoXD
Great!
What does he mean by "your third finger"? Is that the ring or middle finger?
D. P N first finger is index, so third is ring
Really good👍😇😇😇😇😇😇😇👍👍
