A crown jewel in Canadian music - a wonderful singer, and she and Terry wonderful song writers, too. We are lucky that the music lives on. Susan will sing with the Angels, now. RIP.
Now David is with the angels and Jesus as many of our loved ones. Such a wonderful group of the very best muse-gicians ever. The very best have not always been the most famous or known. Mary Saxton is one of these. And Susan sound better than ever. This song goes to the core of my soul and I know all is well. Thank you soo much for leaving us this tribute for all time and for all to discover via UTUBE,
I would say it was around 1970 , When I was 18, took a trip into Canada and we stopped into a little lunch place out in the country that had the table top juke boxes where you can flip the pages and pick your song. Which Way you Goin Billy? was playing and I became a Poppy Family Fan instantly! Of course we kept on playing the song over and over, now today, I listen to all Susan Jacks songs I can find, this is a first time listen for me on this one, Just incredible! Thanks Susan, Mary and fellow musicians for a lifetime of awesome renditions, and excellence in music. Thanks so much for Posting Shawn.....phenomenal!
Not religious, but what a sensational version of this song and the best I've heard Susan sing and I've heard her sing lots..it's like this song was written just for her.. she had one of the best voices ever.. R I P Susan..I met her in Saskatoon with then husband Ted Dushinski..
Just stumbled across this today. This is an absolutely fantastic version of this song, by a magical voice. Wow. Thank you for the early Christmas gift.
Absolutely lovely, Susan. I've been a fan my whole life, since the 'Beyond the Clouds' days when I was a kid. Merry Christmas to you and yours, and thank you for this timeless version of one of my favourite Christmas hymns. God Bless you and everyone involved in this project.
Susan, I loved your voice forever! Bravo to one of my favourite singers singing one of my favourite songs. And, thank you Mary Saxton & David Sinclair, as always, for your beautiful voice & guitar! Merry Christmas xoxo
Wow, beautiful! After reading these other comments I had never heard this song so assumed you had written it, but your rendition just touched my heart so I had to comment. Funny (ironic) thing is I just happened upon your FB page while looking up the song that had been going on in my head. All I had was a few lines & of course the tune, "Goodbye my friend..." and discovered it was by Terry Jacks, who I later found was your dad? Plus I saw your post on his FB page about "Which way you goin' Billy? which was a fave of mine back in my youth as my Dad's name was Bill. It helped me get through his tour in the Vietnam war, along w/a few other "Bill" songs, and thank you for that. If I read that right, that Terry is your dad, I was sorry to hear about his stroke, which I have had 2 myself and still have not totally recovered over my last one too well either. My typing is more lucid than my speaking--it's my thinking that doesn't quite make sense sometimes. So I also read that you've been sick and sorry about that, too. I never understood what it meant when someone would say it sucks getting older...now I do. Thank you for the beautiful lyrics and music. I see I'm not the only fan. ;^)
Very special! Classy!
Susan Jacks is phenomenal

Your voice is deeper and more mellow now, perfect for this soulful song. Beautifully done.
