This video is absolutely hilarious and it's gonna get viral. IMO, any sort of verbal abuse towards a ref is a red card offense, but the goalkeeper with the green shirt spoke towards the dugout while the ref was communicating with #9 and didn't look at the keeper. Therefore, when the keeper went closer to the ref, there was a clear misunderstanding because the ref fought the comments were directed towards him. For the sub keeper, I think the ref had enough from the rude comments from the dugout and took no excuses after telling the keeper to sit down. Overall, I think the ref was partly at fault, because he was too strict towards the dugout and didn't explain about the first two cards. The red team's behaviour was truly shocking as multiple players and staff were swearing at the ref for giving a freekick (it was a clear push on the back). If they had respected the ref and didn't verbally abuse him, this mess wouldn't have happened in the first place.

Referee : Hey mate what is a world record for red cards in one game? Mate: I think it's six. I think it's impossible to get seven. Referee : Hold my cup for a minute...
There must be a minimum of 7 players on the field for a team to be able to constitute a game so I would say that 4 players can be sent off and, as they cannot be replaced, if a fifth player on the field is sent off, the game must stop. However that is just the players on the field. If the abuse continues from players still on the field or is also coming from the officials and the players on the bench it would be possible to give out seven or more red cards.
@@frednerk3477 You are correct that if 5 players on the field from one team are shown a red card, then the team must forfeit the match 1-0. But theoretically, the ref could give red cards to all 18 players as well as coaches before leaving the field. Then the league could reprimand all of them for the remainder of the season. Coaches lose their jobs for such fiascos, and they could lose their coaching license as well. Note that the coaches did little to nothing to control the red team players.
An alternative video title could of course be "petulant children, unable to control their emotions are correctly dealt with by a ref" And the tackle that started it all was indeed a foul. He got the ball but went through the player to get it.

Rugby has better rules though that's why no dissent. In football 5 people can see the same incident and draw different conclusions based on sloppy rules. In football the head of the referees association has apologised for important refereeing mistakes made after the game. I say long live dissent in football until they finally decide what a foul/handball is. 😊
So, uh, that excuses the abuse football referees receive at all levels? We can't keep young referees (or older ones) who simply decide the money isn't worth the grief.

It's actually crazy they start grabbing the guy because the ref wanted him to stand over on that other blade of grass.
Plot twist: After the video he showed red card to himself and went to the home....
Didn't seem overzealous at all. Seemed very calm and consistent.
As a referee myself it is far too common to see and hear abuse towards refs it’s not worth it and refs shouldn’t stand for it
Lmao. It's not like refs are abused. It's part of the game
As I ref I can say I have been verbally and threatened with physical abuse many times and know friends and colleagues that have been abused reffing games
@@BritishWrestlingdocumented That's not abuse. Soccer players say that to each other every day. Get some thicker skin. You're a ref. You're supposed to be tougher and commanding the respect from players. If you can't assert your authority, don't be a ref.

I feel for referees at this level, they get paid very little to turn up at these places with no protection if it kicks off. These guys kept swearing at him and committing other misdemeanours- he can’t just ignore it. He did a great job of not standing for it.

And he did it with such calm demeanor. So good.
Well done ref! Bunch of loud mouth thugs.
This is hilarious, ref went on red card frenzy!! Nothing and no one could stop him!!!
The Red team could have stopped him by shutting the fuck up...lol
Sin bins for dissent at grass roots have really helped. That is what refs wanted sorted as that's when a match gets out of control. The teams very quickly work out a refs 'tolerance level' and I've never had to bin more than one player in a match. The dissenters team mates give their own summary justice as they are down to 10 players for 10 minutes.
We don’t have that here in Ireland but it would really help in my opinion. Look at how well the referees and opponents are respected in rugby. Soccer should aspire to be more like rugby I think.

@@davidhanson1849that coach had already called the ref a pussy. That's a red card offence on its own.

Referee is 100% in the right and the players know it.
The first two reds are right but the rest is yellow and the one with the first keeper is a wrong decision. So no this was not 100% right
The problem is that the players don't know it. They're pricks.
Its AMATEUR!!!!!! SOCCER

At the end, the camera guy will get the 7th red card 😂 😂
Referee : Hey mate what is a world record for red cards in one game?
Mate: I think it's six. I think it's impossible to get seven.
Referee : Hold my cup for a minute...
More like hold my yellow card for a minute
😂
Ref doesn't get mad, he gets mad respect!
Its a miracle he got out of there without getting his ass kicked...

I'm stoked to see so many comments supporting the ref. It's long been a blight on soccer that players get to abuse and bully refs, sometimes to the point of intimidation. There's no excuse for allowing it - part of playing any sport is learning some self control, and you need to use it and respect the officials.
