The refs were obviously fairly young. Maybe not even 18. A fully grown 50 year old man threatening a kid over a soccer game like this, is absolutely disgusting. The ref made the right calls and made the right decision in suspending the game until the management could disperse the fans.
This is what's wrong with American Youth Sports in a nutshell. Parents have no clue about the rules, yet they act like they know everything. The referee did nothing wrong here.
+CoolNala Exactly..so many parents seem to have the attitude that once their kid plays soccer (or any sport) somehow they become experts on refereeing, even though they knew nothing about it before.
I have been an official for 17 years. It looked like he was doing a great job. He also dealt with the idiots in the stands like a professional. As for the threats I hope the got arrested.
As a player for almost as long as you have reffed. I don't see a darn thing wrong with anything that ref did. And I was a bit of a hot head. I gotta say though. Refs can be inconsistent on the shoulder tackle. So you never know what was going on that led up to this. It irritates me to see a ref making the right call and getting yelled at for it. I played in an era when the sport boomed and there simply weren't enough refs to go around. If they think this is a bad ref... oh man they should have seen the typical ref in the 80's and early 90's. oh man it was rough. The typical parent doesn't know the sport so they probably don't know the difference between a legal shoulder tackle and one that isn't... like raising their elbow. I had a bad habit of lifting my arm after a shoulder but it was more running than pushing off. It took years for me to learn to keep that elbow pinned to my side.
Threatening a Referee in this manner could lead to an arrest depending on the State. I am a Referee in Oregon and threatening bodly harm to a sport official is handled the same way as if you would threaten a police officer, fire fighter etc
The ref kicked that guys butt in the parking lot after the game. That was my dad in the red hat. It was a little awkward at home after me and my mom laughed at him. He said he'll change or pick on smaller/weaker refs in the future. Dad always makes lemonade out of piss. Love ya, DAD!!!!!!!!!
what a disgrace the guy in the red hat threatening the referee is. These types of parents should never be allowed to attend matches. Picking fights? really? my god!
Guy likely doesn't have any clue in the referee's decision being correct or not with no knowledge of the LOTG. I ref futsal and it drives me fucking nuts when parents yell at them beleiving your decisions are incorrect because they have no qualification to make these decisions :|
Guy in the red hat is so tough threatening a young referee. I would love to be there "talk about it" with him right there and then. See how tough he is "talking" with a man instead of threatening a kid.
I also reffed a bunch of years - plenty of college and HS games. This young ref made good calls. Some (not all) of the white teams parents seemed to be getting their kids riled up. I haven't seen an entire group of fans kicked out of a game before ... pretty extreme ... but probably worked in this case. What I noticed most - the school had an athletic director that handled this beautifully. No emotion - just resolved the situation calmly (and in a manner that reinforced good sportsmanship to the young players). Well done, AD.
If he had handled it correctly it never would have gotten to the point it did. The coach or whoever he was should have been over there at the first sign the fans were getting out of control.
As a referee for 20 years at every level from youth to professional, the referee is absolutely right. While you can't do much about the fans at adult amateur/pro games, youth and high school is different. Referees have to deal with it or it only gets worse,. especially in high school, since sports are considered an extension of the classroom. Half the time the players yelled back at their own parents for embarrassing them, since the parents were clueless, and acting like jerks.
It's lamentable that is was necessary but this was properly done. This is NOT a case of the referees being oversensitive and overstepping their authority, but is specifically part of our instruction.
Well said. I'm a soccer referee and most leagues, state associations, etc. if not ALL of them would have a 0% Tolerance for verbal assault as this. I've had to end a very well played Under 10 soccer match years ago because a parent decided to be an idiot and tell me he'll be waiting for me in the parking lot. Sometimes, it's the parents that need the officiating, not the kids anymore...
Woody a few weeks ago I was the AR for a U10 boys game. One parent was being the typical “coaching from the sideline” parent. Another parent decided he heard enough of it and yelled at the parent to stop. The parent who thought he was the coach then got up out of his seat and got in the other guys face. I thought the center was gonna stop the game right there. Funniest thing was that the parent who didn’t like the other coaching from his seat, did the exact same thing later
that's a cowardly piece of shit that yells at a referee, "after the game, ref," what an ass hole!!! His compensation for having a small penis!! Big men in a crowd!! WELL DONE REFEREE, WELL DONE!!
the kid in the white shirt took a dive. play the game straight up kid. why resort to those tactics? see what you did with that B.S. dive. if you can't take a shoulder, then you are playing the wrong game
Thank you! I thought I was the only one who saw that. The other player was faster. The kid dove like a little girl because the defender was blowing by him to the ball.
My favourite part in all of this is how the centre-forward gets owned for pace and then tries to complain he was getting pulled back. The centre-froward never slowed down from when the defender was still 5 yards behind him - go the centre-back
I think that was the supervisor that is supposed to be present. In NFHS rules (high school games, which I believe this was), the supervisor is responsible for maintaining conduct and, in rare cases like this, informing people they must leave otherwise the game is declared "terminated" by the officials, and left to the state association for judgement on the result. The coach is responsible in most USSF based club matches.
real classy. I like how the guy making threats just goes and sits down like no one will know where he is if he does that. parents like these are what's wrong with youth sports. if you're going to yell at the officials, you damn sure better know what you're talking about. very obvious these people don't have the same knowledge of the game as the referee does. well done mr. ref. I bet this game was much more enjoyable for the players after those loudmouths were gone.
Hey Ref! I hope you will see my comment someday. I'm a football referee as well, I'm from Poland. I (or actually we) see the same people every week. Doesn't matter if they are from America, Europe or Asia. We are surrounded by great people who really love this game, but unfortunately among them you can spot black sheeps like the one in the red hat. I heard that "after the game ref" line probably around 10000 times now, but after the game... there was nobody. The thing is, they are always so brave when they are anonymous, but whenever you direct your attention towards them - they become invisible. I love to do this as an assistant referee on regional division. I just look behind me, spot such person and stare at him for a while. I love that moment when he gets scared of responsibility and looks down immediately. Ref, or actually my brother in arms. Just well done. Big thumb up to you and your team. I would love to officiate with you someday. Keep it up Mate :)
Not a foul, the defender beat him to the ball and he just slid/dove forward into the play, the defender did nothing here. Yet, parents no it all, unreal. Good No Call Ref
Defender plays the man, not the ball. It is a charge. Page 10. I would call this excessive as the attacker is removed from his feet. www.fifa.com/mm/document/afdeveloping/refereeing/law_12_fouls_misconduct_en_47379.pdf The question is whether it was careless or reckless. I don't think it qualifies as either. Just an excessive charge. Direct free kick white. Have you ever seen this NOT called in pro soccer or international soccer?
As a junior peewee football coach, I see so much bad coach and parent behavior. It is sad. Kids are having fun and learning good sportsmanship and it gets ruined for them.
i wasn't planning on acting like this if my kids play sports, but it's still nice to be educated ahead of time so i can look for this behavior in other parents and shut it down myself before the officials/coaches get involved.
Thank you, that makes more sense. Also, he probably did continue the match after the crowd was dispersed. Sad that such a resort had to be taken because of idiots who couldn't keep their mouths shut.
Where in the title "South Fulton (TN) soccer fans are ejected after threatening referee." did it say the ref did it? Language comprehension, go study it.
Referees are there to make sure everything is OK and everyone is following the rules. They aren't here to be threatened and abused we need to be more respectful to the match officials
Great call from the ref as there is no foul what so ever....the guy with the red hat is so clueless about the game he needs to stay home and find out the result later.
I fault the head coach and the athletic administrator for the dismissal of the entire spectator section of the red team. In the National Federation of High School sports (NFHS) Coaches Code of Conduct - which is in the front of every sport's high school rule book - it is stated that "The coach shall exert his or her influence to enhance sportsmanship by the spectators…" The head coach did not do anything to curb the abysmal sportsmanship by the spectators or threats made by one man in particular. If the center referee could hear it, then both the head coach and the athletic administrator could hear it and it was their responsibility and duty to immediately end it. They did not so the center referee (head official) had to take matters into his hands. In NFHS Soccer Rule 5-3-2(e), "The head referee or center referee shall have the authority to suspend play or terminate the game whenever the elements, SPECTATORS, or other causes require." The referee had the authority and substantial reason to suspend the game and have the spectators dismissed.
Yeah I made everyone leave the game today now I'm going to go home and play X Box. I like to see him try that a major league game ok now 30,000 people have to leave. No pushing and shoving now.
I'd be so embarrassed if I 1.) ever threatened a kid much younger than myself 2.) couldn't keep my composer during a high school soccer game 3.) got the entire spectator section thrown out because I turned into an unhinged lunatic threatening a kid at a high school soccer game.
This is the underlying problem with all youth sports, whether rec or high school. The parents take it all too damn seriously. That reffing crew looked like teenagers. I wonder how that ignorant douchebag that was doing all of the yelling would like it if someone threatened HIS kid like that? And people wonder why there's a shortage of refs for high school sports these days. Who wants to subject themselves to this kind of treatment, and possibly bodily harm to ref a game?
I agree. We are having a very difficult time getting people into officiating youth sports because of this behavior. The ideal ref candidates are young men who played the game but I have had many officials quit after a season because it's not worth it. And now that my son is an umpire (youth baseball) and I've watched him get berated by a grown man (who was WRONG, by the way), I am questioning if I should've invited him to try officiating. It was all I could do not to run on the field and level the jackass yelling at my 16 yo son...and this was a 6 year old t ball game.
Thanks to a few assholes, everyone had to suffer. I am a soccer dad and this makes me want to vomit. We are doomed as a society. I would predict that in my lifetime, we may not be able to conduct any kind of competition sports anymore because if people are this out of control and fanatical now, how bad will it be twenty years from now?
I had a body guard of the owner of a professional football team do the same thing to me in a basketball game. Too bad my real job is as a police officer in the 2nd largest city in Texas and we happened to be in that city. I made one phone call and he should never be repeating that mistake again. This parent would have never made it to the parking lot without some sort of escort.
i captained my soccer team in high school for two years and i hated every bit of the "soccer" attitude of self righteousness among players and parents and the ability to talk poorly to a referee.
This is what happens when football parents try to watch a soccer match. As a soccer referee, most parents lack of knowledge of the rules is astounding. I sometimes quietly laugh at them while I'm reffing because what they are complaining about is so ridiculous.
The game at the high school level is meant for kids to have fun (with some possibilities of being scouted). Parents are meant to sit there and watch the game, cheering their team on, but staying positive in the process. They are NOT there to threaten the officials because the game isn't going their way. I don't care how bad you think the refs are doing. You are not entitled to threaten bodily harm upon an official.
Disgusting behaviour from the 'fans', threatening the referee like that. Well done referee for using his right to have someone sent away. He doesn't have to put up with that.
Had a coach threaten to "take me out" at a U10 game once. There can be bad calls. Trying to watch all the action - sometimes through 5 to 10 bodies in the way can make it real tough to get every call perfect. That being said....no reason for any parent to threaten an official over a youth sports event. I've seen "tough" guys like this threaten 17 and 18 year old refs. Just uncalled for. And I agree 100% that this is why it is tough to get new refs and keep the ones we have.
That shoulder to shoulder wasn't a foul. The captain has a right to have that explained to him though and the ref carded him. The second yellow was quick too.
When will "adults" realize it's not about them and sometimes their views are foggy. One dad yelling "you're taking away from the kids" to the ref was absolutely wrong. The ref has decisions to make and if the players want to direct dissent towards the ref then they are hurting their team. That dad in the red hat is an embarrassment and should go live his own dreams and not do it through his kid. He's the one that ruined it for all of those fans, not anyone on the field. That tackle was well done by the defender and timed well. It's not a foul just because somebody falls down. He has every right to go for that ball, just as the forward does, and use his shoulder to make that challenge.
I'm not sure about the first call... maybe descent? But that second call was spot on, handling and based on the actions of the players it was not his first violation of the laws.
red hat: I could've gone pro....but I was really losing money if I did. i mean the rent a center empire of the tri town area was basically built on my back
Exactly. I'm sure that's not the first time this guy has been a jerk. Someone in his crowd should've dealt with it (or the coach) before it got to that point. He ruined it for everyone...and he's teaching his kid that it's ok to threaten refs when you don't get your way. Good luck in the real world, jackass.
Look at that cheeseburger sit down and be quiet as soon as he realized he wasn’t anonymous and that the ref knew exactly who he was and what he was saying.
ref did nothing wrong. As part of the game is respecting the ref. The player got a warning for what he said, then preseated to continue and got sent off. One of the 1st rules you learn in soccer is respect the ref. There was no foul there and another case of parents taking it to far. Plain pathetic what they did.
Would have really angered the parents but 1 min in there's a foul throw...gotta start the throw from the back not above the head. Straight after the red card as well.
I think it's a little harsh to give a 2nd yellow for arguing a call, but if he had been warned before I could see it. The yellow card on the hand ball is bull.
Chances are he was warned before the dissent yellow was given. I agree with it regardless. As for the handball yellow, it probably wasn't the kid's first time doing something like that, hence the yellow.
I know that he already had a yellow card... I said that a 2nd yellow card for arguing seemed a little harsh. I will say that from the one camera angle it's hard to determine if it was intentional or not
I know this videos old but that's just disgusting. So the kid knew he was beat, did a dive and then got called on it. And the parents flipped out like the idiots they are. Especially that one in the red hat. Some if my best friends ref high whoop games. They're just college kids trying to pay for classes and food. To not only insult them but then to threaten them as a grown man is repulsing. On the other side of that if he was my father, I would've been so embarrassed. I would've apologized to each of those refs for my fathers ignorance. Luckily when I played in high school my father was more level headed since no one pulled that stuff on me. Just watching this made me cringe. Yea I would've met him in the parking lot and kicked the shit out of him for threatening me or if it was my friend I'd still do the same. That's just because I have a short temper and get flared really easily. The difference is I wouldn't threaten kids that are younger than me id just laugh.
People like that jerk eventually run into that one person they shouldn't have messed with. Threatening a ref, shame on him. I bet the ref could take his old grumpy ass anyway.
wow. coach Frazier. Its been too long. I did not know we have a soccer team in South Fulton now..amazing. Where was it when i was a student in 1998? I would have been the Ronaldo...girls would have gone crazy over me:)
OK, I don't get 2 things. Why did the first player get a 2nd yellow card and then sent off? I can't even work out where he was involved in the play. Was it for dissent? Was the 2nd yellow for deliberate handball?
There lucky all he did was clear the bench. I am a ref and if someone threatens us were told to terminate and I’m under US soccer so very lucky all he did was clear the bench
Pharoh....I umpires for years and once had an assistant coach say he would see me in the parking lot after the game. I stopped the game, ejected him and said if he isn't removed from the park immediately the game would be over and the Police called. He left
He could have pressed charges on that idiot as well. Red had is wearing his hat a few notches too tight. Needs to loosen up a big. I wonder if it was a "make america great" hat.
At first I was thinking of Fulton in the UK, but the manner of cheering didn't match. I don't understand the high pitched cheer...hard on the ears. How ironic that they were waving around umbrellas as they were leaving - given FULTON UMBRELLAS in the UK.
and the bad thing was some of them weren't even saying bad things or disagreeing with the ref but they still got kicked out of the game in fact all of that teams fans got kicked out
That's not "fair", that is the ref being an idiot. He knew he was making a bad call, then made another bad call to purposefully incite the crowd. He didn't make an effort to locate the offending fan, and instead decided to remove the entire crowd. His motives are definitely questioned.
Right. They are only human. The ref never looks towards the crowd, makes a second bad call, again ignores the crowd. He acted like he was afraid to even look at them. Then, instead of kicking the offenders out of the stands, he runs and tells them they all have to leave. If we are throwing the baby out with the bathwater, he should have made all fans leave. There is no excuse to purposefully target one team in an attempt to give the other such an obvious advantage.
There were clearly fouls that so happened to be against the team that has these parents. I would run out the entire stands too. Being threatened is above and beyond what is "par for the course" here. Point is, you have a clear bias towards one side and it's showing. A neutral person like me clearly agrees with the referee in this case.
LOL I think the ''FANS'' got just what they needed. It's a game with kids and even the Referees look like they was just young guys. Just a bunch of sorry people want to cry and get their way. lol
In this clip it looks as the defender does check with the shoulder, body to body could be as ref has a better view. If so he handled it according, parents and all.
As a official myself, this is one reason why I go to the gym. To prepare myself for assholes like him. I would of been more than willing to meet him after the game.
I actually think the white player with the ball early in the video could've been offside...and that was a perfect caution for dissent......and a perfect caution for persistent infringement
It's soccer man? I dealt with this coaching also. Parents are the problem. They live through their kids and don't teach them the sportsmanship of the sport. Sad.
Wow...these players must be getting paid a whole lot of money to play Soccer to have the parents this upset. The guy in the red hat and his buddy with the umbrella must have a lot riding on these players.
Some of the fans were disrespectful, But can you imagine if they had been black. Trust me. There would have been no way that they would have left the stands. A riot would have ensued.
for a tough guy he sure left fast
The refs were obviously fairly young. Maybe not even 18. A fully grown 50 year old man threatening a kid over a soccer game like this, is absolutely disgusting. The ref made the right calls and made the right decision in suspending the game until the management could disperse the fans.

Unfortunatly this is prevelent in Football (soccer) in england as well what ever the level
CoolNala always gotta call out Americans. Smh typical brits
CoolNala yes he did do something wrong he was too pussy to stand by his choices that he ends the game
CoolNala
You are wrong, Americans know everything.
I have been an official for 17 years. It looked like he was doing a great job.

Gee Muddy Threat against a sport official is actually a Class C felony buddy
Threatening a Referee in this manner could lead to an arrest depending on the State. I am a Referee in Oregon and threatening bodly harm to a sport official is handled the same way as if you would threaten a police officer, fire fighter etc
I was in Tennessee and yes it is. I know of people arrested for the same thing. Talk about what you know not what you don't
they dbag in the red hat ruined for everyone, parent of the year. good job
+nick apodaca there's one in every crowd. I hope the team doesn't let him come to matches again, or they should be fined.
nick apodaca those damn men wearing those damn red hats are dbags!😂
The ref kicked that guys butt in the parking lot after the game. That was my dad in the red hat. It was a little awkward at home after me and my mom laughed at him. He said he'll change or pick on smaller/weaker refs in the future. Dad always makes lemonade out of piss. Love ya, DAD!!!!!!!!!

what a disgrace the guy in the red hat threatening the referee is. These types of parents should never be allowed to attend matches. Picking fights? really? my god!
+SpannersGerm669 Yep...I feel sorry for the kid of that childish jerk.
Reminds of that south park episode

That was coach Mc.Frazier my high school principle!
Learn how to spell next time
Parents make me so proud. My parents supported me every game and never did this. What an embarrassment

Refs are not always right?
So that gives the parents a right to act like fucking morons..
Yes refs are not always right. Threatening a ref is always wrong though.
What's your point?
Shoulder to shoulder. I didn't see much of a foul. Its not like the defender checked the forward strait in the back. Those parents are blind.
It's lamentable that is was necessary but this was properly done. This is NOT a case of the referees being oversensitive and overstepping their authority, but is specifically part of our instruction.

You are correct Raider025.
first one is a play-on imo
Parents today in youth sports are psycho

Unfortunately, fans like that show up far too often here in America
Real tough ADULT threatening a teen aged Referee. Bet he would cry and whine if another ADULT was there to put him in his place, or the hospital.
Mike Davey Yah its nuts how often it happens. Once had a parent follow me to my car after a u14 game i reffed when i was 18 or 19
I can see where the kids get the bad attitude
Not a foul, the defender beat him to the ball and he just slid/dove forward into the play, the defender did nothing here. Yet, parents no it all, unreal. Good No Call Ref

Living in TN and being a soccer player I've got to deal with this garbage just pathetic!!! It's a game
phil thanks for sharing its shame some people runied for others not everyone was bad.
Youth sports just brings out the worst in a large amount of parents.
I've been watching crazy parent videos and I have to say this is a prime example as to why I'll NEVER coach again in my life. NEVER.
Am I the only one that's impressed by that first tackle? What a play from the defender and what a better job by the referee
i wasn't planning on acting like this if my kids play sports, but it's still nice to be educated ahead of time so i can look for this behavior in other parents and shut it down myself before the officials/coaches get involved.
he didn't eject the fans. he stopped the game until game management did it. that he can do.
It appears as though they stopped the game until game management solved the problem.
Excellent way for the referee to handle this! Perhaps next time the other parents will tell jerk boy to shut up or leave.
My word! I would never -- never! -- have expected to see such uncouth behaviour at a sporting match in rural Tennessee!
Favorite part was the guy at 2:11 who said "Well done guys"
Nikhil Mathur thank you for this
It takes a big man to threaten refs. Cowards.
talk to the brazilians who cut the heads of refs when they make whats seems to be a wrong call.
Don't make the refs mad... Calls will not go your way.... It's only a game.
“Taking it away from the keeeeiiiiidddddsss!!!” Hahahahahahaa...shit entitled parents are the worst
In NFHS Soccer Rule 5-3-2(e), "The head referee or center referee shall have the authority to suspend play or terminate the game whenever the elements, SPECTATORS, or other causes require." The referee had the authority and substantial reason to suspend the game and have the spectators dismissed.
mzkmann... How about the unruly fucked up parents DID THAT TO THEMSELVES....fuckin' idiots
Handled appropriately. This is why we can't recruit referees. Does this happen in basketball or football?
Yes, and when this happens in those sports we say the same things as officials. This is why we can't get enough officials around the country.
TNJed01
Unfortunately, it happens too often.
Wait a minute. Tennessee? Soccer? Passionate soccer fans?
I call b.s.!
Dude in the hat is just upset that his kid couldn't make the baseball team and now he is stuck watching soccer .....
That’s a good one
So true😂😂😂
Ain't that the truth.
I mean... I subject myself to this treatment. Most games are smooth and not anywhere near this bad, thankfully.
You just dont know what its like having to make a decision if this is how you treat a ref that made a call that didnt even end up in a goal.
This is my worst nightmare as a ref
Absolutely the right call to eject everyone. That's ridiculous.
It's a shame they didn't just get the guy, but this is unacceptable at any level. I am glad it was dealt with swift and justly.
Tuff guy was the first to leave
The game at the high school level is meant for kids to have fun (with some possibilities of being scouted). Parents are meant to sit there and watch the game, cheering their team on, but staying positive in the process. They are NOT there to threaten the officials because the game isn't going their way. I don't care how bad you think the refs are doing. You are not entitled to threaten bodily harm upon an official.
@Raider025 Follow me back on Twitter please, I want to DM you.
By the way the ensuing throw-in was illegal
That shoulder to shoulder wasn't a foul. The captain has a right to have that explained to him though and the ref carded him. The second yellow was quick too.
I've played against these guys, most the cards are for language
Its only a GAME!!!! When people start threatening other people over a game, I would start booting people out too.
"after the game ref"? Sad, tough guy. Perfect example of why I quit coaching youth soccer. Parents and people like you.
Pathetic!...total lack of discipline and self control
I'm not sure about the first call... maybe descent? But that second call was spot on, handling and based on the actions of the players it was not his first violation of the laws.
red hat: I could've gone pro....but I was really losing money if I did. i mean the rent a center empire of the tri town area was basically built on my back
Too bad NONE of the parents had the BALLS to put this guy in his place.
Is that Randy Marsh?
Why do they have the slowest dude on the pitch playing lone striker? That defender beat him on the play easily
I think it's a little harsh to give a 2nd yellow for arguing a call, but if he had been warned before I could see it. The yellow card on the hand ball is bull.
+Jamie Dempsey The hand ball looked intentional. Also a yellow then a red could also have meant he already had a yellow
I will say that from the one camera angle it's hard to determine if it was intentional or not
Thing is not EVERY handball is a yellow. It's usually either for doing it often or where you did it (like in the PA versus outside it).
All games should be free of idiots.
People like that jerk eventually run into that one person they shouldn't have messed with. Threatening a ref, shame on him. I bet the ref could take his old grumpy ass anyway.
Those fans should watch matches in England, they'll fit right in.
Red hat guy, making his kids proud, lol.
That was the proper call. Nice work.
wow. coach Frazier. Its been too long. I did not know we have a soccer team in South Fulton now..amazing. Where was it when i was a student in 1998? I would have been the Ronaldo...girls would have gone crazy over me:)
Looked good to me, the kid took a dive. A good no call!!
OK, I don't get 2 things.
Why did the first player get a 2nd yellow card and then sent off? I can't even work out where he was involved in the play. Was it for dissent?
Was the 2nd yellow for deliberate handball?
+Eddie Barrett yes and yes
+Eddie Barrett 1st was for a ''foul'' on the defender and the 2nd was for a handball. 1st decision wasn't a foul and the 2nd was a handball.
Great job ref! I bet it was a good game after that.
Send that referee to SOuth America.
At first I was thinking of Fulton in the UK, but the manner of cheering didn't match. I don't understand the high pitched cheer...hard on the ears. How ironic that they were waving around umbrellas as they were leaving - given FULTON UMBRELLAS in the UK.
Can we please talk about the throw-in at 0:58?
and the bad thing was some of them weren't even saying bad things or disagreeing with the ref but they still got kicked out of the game in fact all of that teams fans got kicked out
To be fair here, the referee couldn't pinpoint the source so he had to clear the whole stand.
That's not "fair", that is the ref being an idiot. He knew he was making a bad call, then made another bad call to purposefully incite the crowd. He didn't make an effort to locate the offending fan, and instead decided to remove the entire crowd. His motives are definitely questioned.
Neil McCauley You must be kidding. No ref intentionally does this for fun.
People don't understand just how hard it is to officiate a sport
LOL I think the ''FANS'' got just what they needed. It's a game with kids and even the Referees look like they was just young guys. Just a bunch of sorry people want to cry and get their way. lol
In this clip it looks as the defender does check with the shoulder, body to body could be as ref has a better view. If so he handled it according, parents and all.
Too bad Grandma and Grandpa had to leave too!!! All for the actions of a few!
The ref got the first call right, the defender didn't even touch the guy in white.
As a official myself, this is one reason why I go to the gym. To prepare myself for assholes like him. I would of been more than willing to meet him after the game.
I actually think the white player with the ball early in the video could've been offside...and that was a perfect caution for dissent......and a perfect caution for persistent infringement
good for the ref for standing up for himself..
Poor refs good thing the coach or site manager took care of business though
It's soccer man? I dealt with this coaching also. Parents are the problem. They live through their kids and don't teach them the sportsmanship of the sport. Sad.
Wow...these players must be getting paid a whole lot of money to play Soccer to have the parents this upset. The guy in the red hat and his buddy with the umbrella must have a lot riding on these players.
Some of the fans were disrespectful, But can you imagine if they had been black. Trust me. There would have been no way that they would have left the stands. A riot would have ensued.
