This is the best packing video. Nobody ever includes the “thought about bringing it, but didn’t”. I love that you shared your think out loud information and your rationale for taking things or excluding things!!
I have a pair of legging jeans that I really love to wear for everyday, but when I pack, I need to have one other pair at least, along with 2 shorts, 2 capris, and a pair nicer pants. lol. I would love to be able to pack just a carry on for travel, but when I go somewhere for two weeks, it's one outfit a day, and a few extras. I am so bad.
This to me, is the most fun thing about travelling. The 'planning and organization' of the adventure! Jess I know you're a seasoned traveller; my number one rule is don't take anything that, if lost or stolen would ruin your trip. (Thank you, Accidental Tourist.) I once was ill in London, and nearly had to leave rucksack behind, but I didn't. SO happy for you!!! Great video!!!
This makes me miss packing for myself. I have 3 kids and I spend the entire time packing for them and then literally throw my stuff in a bag and head out the door. 😂 My husband and I are going on our first trip alone for our 10 year anniversary in October and I am going to relish packing for myself!
I NEEDED THIS VIDEO. I'm going on a cruise from the Netherlands to England/Ireland/Scotland (I live in Fl) for 15 days and I HAD NO CLUE on how to pack for two weeks in a carry on because international flights are crazy. You are amazing and this was fortuitous
Kauai is amazing! You have to check out Ke'e beach on the north shore, Waimea canyon, and Liko Tours boat ride up the Napali coast. It's BEAUTIFUL! Have fun
It helps when you are a small person. Your clothes are all smaller. I could never get that many different articles of clothing, in MY SIZE, in that piece of luggage! LOL But, this video is still helpful.
barbara welch the way I pack is folding them a bit then rolling them. Fits more items than just stacking them on top of each other, there's videos online, hope this helps
+barbara welch I thought that before also, but I am a plus sized girl and I was able to pack a little more than Jess in my carry-on for our Paris trip and I posted a video about it. We were flying Air France, so I had to have a 20" in. carry-on, which may be a tiny bit smaller than hers. Packing cubes and compression cubes definitely helped. Let me know if you have any questions, and have a great weekend!
barbara welch I always do a flat stack pack maximum room no matter the size. Pants folded on half with the legs folded to fit then alternate directions tops go in flat on top. Pjs get rolled and placed down the sides Intimates in the top zippered part with my makeup/toiletries bag. Shoes I generally only take two pairs nice sandals or flats that I wear to airport and a pair of walking shoes(usually not sneakers but something comfortable).
I always say that! Although I'm a roll packer and that does help for sure. I roll packed my brothers clothes and he's 6'2" and 250lbs or so. Just roll and they can compress better.Big feet affect how many shoes I bring too
I love videos like this. When I studied abroad in Peru for six months last year, I packed everything into a carry-on. Everyone thought I was crazy, but it was totally worth it. My accommodations were very small, and I took several side trips, so I never had the room to store an extra suitcase's worth of stuff. Thanks for sharing!
We went on vacations few weeks ago and went to Vancouver, Alaska, and Seattle. It was crazy trying to pack because we needed pretty heavy clothes for Alaska, but there was a heat wave in Seattle.
That was terrific!! Such great tips. I'm addicted to anything organizational..little cool bags, luggage.. those packing cubes are neat. Thanks!! Have a great trip!
AWESOME TIPS!! I work for a major airline & I liked how you packed everything, but I couldn't help but think how much more I would've decided NOT to bring....hahaha....but that's me....I ALWAYS bring a travel blanket, you can call me "LINUS". hahaha... As for makeup I try to downsize what I take with me, but it NEVER works. What I have been doing is the "weight check" on my cosmetics bag....hahaha...if it feels heavy I open it & start removing stuff that I don't really need. As for the blow dryer....I wouldn't take one because with the humidity it would just make your BEAUTIFUL curly hair curly. What I do is bring bobby pins to curl my hair, let it dry pinned up then remove the pins which takes out the frizz & makes it look smooth.
I just had to come and tell you that omg you have inspired me so much. I found your channel a few weeks ago and since I have binge watched so many videos. I have been skeptical of starting a channel because of my career as a teacher. Knowing that you could do it inspired me so much. So, I went for it and yesterday I uploaded my first makeup tutorial! Thank you so much for the inspiration! XOXO- KAT
Holy moly!!! You couldn't have posted this at a better time! I'm going on a 10 day vacation in about three weeks, and I wasn't sure how to pack everything!! So thank you!!!!
Amazon has a packing cube sets of 9 for $14.99. They are awesome and fit in my carry on. This is the first time I am using packing cubes. I usually just fold my clothes wisely LOL!
If you don't mind me asking, but which Disney park are you going to? I live in Orlando, FL where we have Disney and Epcot and Down town Disney, etc. My husbands family come from up north every year to go to Disney during Christmas for an entire week. I could help you by giving you some tips and tricks for the park. :)
Thank you for responding! I would just give you a heads up, by letting you know the best times to go are right when the parks open. The early hours for entry will allow you to stay out of the 90+ degree heat with a very high humidity percentage. Also by 3 to 6 pm there are thunderstorms every day in the summer and that also means lighting. However, there is a scheduled time each night that Disney will do beautiful fireworks. show I would look online for the summer scheduled shows. I think you will love all the parks your going to! My personal favorite is Animal Kingdom. :) If you get a chance to go to Down Town Disney, I would suggest that you do. Its free and has shopping, food and a Lego store that has a place to play with legos. It also has lego life size statues. Im sorry if thats a lot to read, but I hope you find it somewhat helpful. Enjoy your trip! :)
Yay, your first trip...that is so exciting! The best part about coming next month is that it's so warm here that you will only need shorts, light weight tops/tanks, and swimsuits. Plus sunscreen, of course, and maybe a hat and sunglasses. :) You should easily be able to make it with a carry-on. Are you staying on property? I have plenty of recommendations on Disney restaurants and rides, according to who's in your family. Let me know if you have any questions. I know you will have an amazing time!
Hi Jessica, Great video. I am so impressed by how efficiently you packed. We are getting ready for a one week trip to Colorado where we will be renting a house and even be able to do laundry, but I still know I will completely over-pack. Watching your video will definitely help me re-think what I am bringing when I start my packing. I hope you have a wonderful trip..it sounds so exciting.
Jess.. just a thought! I am certain Tyler looked into this but some European airlines only allow 1 (ONE) carry-on --- last year travelling from Paris to Nice, I had to squeeze my purse into my carry-on. I also had a checked bag...
LOVE this video! I'm on an organizing/paring down kick right now and have never been good at packing - I'm an over packer. So this is inspiring! Thanks Jessica!!
We have the same packing style! I like knowing other people do it because it gives me validation :) My husband is the opposite and he almost always needs to check a bag. After our last trip I think he has finally seen the light and will try to start packing a carry-on instead of a huge suitcase we have to check. My biggest concern is his shoes because they take up so much room but I'm sure we'll figure it out.
Wow that was compact! Impressed! At first I thought it was a lot but after all was well packaged I thought, wow!!! Gtreat job. Thank you for the tips...
I'm impressed that ALL of your bags are so cute. Even your little miscellaneous ones! I've just got this weird bunch of random generic bags I've accumulated over the years.
I really enjoyed this video it would also be cool if you told us what you ended up using the most and what you didn't use it all on your trip after you come back
Oh the horrors of having to travel with just a carryon! I remember when checking luggage was very easy! You did very well. For some reason it takes me days!!! I don't think my clothes are as wonderful in mixing and matching! Have a wonderful trip! Love both countries for sure.
Always, always, pack a swimsuit. They don't take up much room & you never know when you'll wind up wanting one. Many times we've hit bad weather or just got tired & stopped for the night & its so great to be able to take a dip in the hotel pool.
Oh my gosh! So excited you posted this! We are about to leave for Canada for a week with only a carry on! I need help not over packing but having what I need 😬
Very helpful. I'm definitely going to use that folding technique to pack my tops and bottoms next time I travel so you don't have to necessarily move everything around to find what you want. I'm taking a trip to Vegas in November for 5 days so this is super helpful.
The carry on bag is always a problem. It has to have medicine and other nessary items, but the big bag gets checked. We just came back from a cruise which lasted a month and you are so right about being able to layer items. I have learned if I take 2 tops for every bottom it works out well. I was interested in the way you rolled all of your clothes. I have heard people say that it saves space so I will try it on my next trip. Have fun! We have been to Ireland and want to back and now we have waterproof foot gear.😍
Oh & Jess, unique luggage tags are important. We use cutouts from a printed silk saree, nobody else has those, so no getting lost in the sea of generic luggage tags.
This is perfect timing! My parents and I planned a trip to Europe in a few months to celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary, and my 30th birthday. The trip is a total of 17 days, and I really haven't been on a trip that long in many years. I was dreading trying to figure out what and how to pack. Your video was very helpful and informative. We too are trying to keep everything in carry-on since we will be taking several flights while in Europe. London, Paris, Madrid, and Malaga are our for sure locations. We might try Portugal to see if we can find any of our ancestors. Our last name - Rengifo - we were told is Portuguese. I hope you have lots of fun on your trip! I'm definitely looking forward to mine! It will also be my first time at Disneyland Paris! Eeeeekkk
IVANA carefully with pickpocket there. Europe has a lot of them. I went to Italy and France with a group. Two people got their wallet and passports stolen from their backpacks. Find those thin wallet thingy that you can wear under your shirt. Hide your money and passport
Thanks Ava! That's good advice. My mom was in Europe last year, and her friend was robbed for about 2k from her purse. My parents have been traveling to Europe every other year, since forever. This is the first time I'll be joining them since I was 8. I will definitely keep your advise in mind. Thanks!
How convenient. Gotta be flying into Taiwan in about 3 weeks from now and this video is definitely appreciated. Excuse me while I watch the rest of the packing vids.
this idea just came to me as I was watching you pack your clothes: maybe you can take pictures of all the outfit combos you might wear before you pack the clothes; I would do this because I'm so forgetful!
Omg so happy you are coming to ireland. It's nice and warm here for a change I hope you have a fab time and if you need any recommendations for anytime you're in cork let me know.
I have been waiting so long for this video! Going to Ireland on my honeymoon in October and only taking carry on! Thank you so much for posting this it was very helpful. love all your videos!
jess! I'd love to see a Disney tips and tricks video with you and your husband. like lesser known tricks y'all have figured out after years of going. my husband and I are going for the first time as adults and I don't want to miss anything
My only question is, what do you do with all the extra things you purchase? Such as t shirts, souvenirs, goodies, etc with your carry ons being so full.
Taylor Kappel Most people, when they buy a lot of souvenirs and gifts, they end up having to buy another suitcase or actually bringing another empty suitcase.
When I was younger we used to frequently fly out to visit my gran who liked to spoil us. We have suitcases that fit inside each other so we would keep the smaller suitcase inside the bigger one and pack out stuff in there. That way we only had one suitcase going out there but could put all the things we bought in the second suitcase and didn't have to buy one out there. clearly this means you can't carry everything on on the way back (we checked bags on the way there anyways) but you could also bring a thin duffle bag in your suitcase incase of overflow instead. Or you just try not to buy too many bulky souvenirs when you travel haha
I pack one of those blue IKEA zip bags to check for the return trip with all the dirty clothes and anything else durable so I can carry on any souvenirs I pick up. I bet Jessica doesn't buy much when she travels because she travels so much and she's also moving. You learn after a while that most of it gets tossed after a few years anyway. Moving makes it even more obvious that we have too much junk.
Jew Dy that is BRILLIANT. I'm in Greece 3-4 months out of the year... for the 2 work related months I pack 4 pairs of slacks, 2 dresses a dozen tops and a single pair of shoes... plus 2 workout outfits that I constantly wash. For when we are either at my home or my husband's home... I have a closet set up - so I don't take anything with me other than my photography gear and the tablet I edit pictures with.
I packed a flat tote inside my rucksack, but ended up buying another suitcase in Scotland as it was on sale and beautiful. Jenner's dept store, if they still exist!
Wow...I need to try this packing method. Great Jess!!! Enjoy your trip..I know there will be a lot of pictures when you return or blogging why you are traveling. Have a safe trip.👍🏽👍🏽😃
I hate checking bags. We used to travel a lot because of the military. I have gotten good at getting it down small too. It is so nice not having all the suitcases to worry about too.
Jessica, I just got back from 2 1/2 weeks in Ireland loved it drinkand lots of tea and scones. Have fun and be safe. buy lots of Bourjois makeup I love it.
Ireland is gorgeous! And the people are wonderful, so helpful. Which you might need, as drivers, if you're out in the countryside! Signage is so-so. You'll need lots and lots of directions! Enjoy! And you are a Ninja packer! And you have the same TSA liquids bag that I do. Isn't it great! I finally decided to go for something sturdy.
this was such a great and informative video. I travel/tour with a band I learned a few helpful things for my travels. THANK YOU!!! Love the packing vids.
Hope you had a great trip here in Ireland!! Hopefully you were here for the nice and sunny weather, we've been having a lot of heatwaves (it's a change from all the rain!) ❤️
Just wanted to say that I feel Jessica really underestimated the fact that it is the middle of summer in Ireland and so it isn't going to be constantly raining or freezing cold, and so it probably isn't totally necessary to bring so many winter-ish clothes. The UK/Ireland weather has been mad warm lately.
definitely layering pieces, maybe some light dresses that you could pop a cardigan over or top under, leggings I find are great,I wear a lot of tshirt as it can be muggy sometimes just dead heat with no breeze, even if the day is overcast it's not so much cold it's still mild enough but that's to us here lol,I'd bring jeans and a few light sweaters just in case but august is generally pretty good here honestly, definitely comfy footwear. At the moment I live in athleisure wear as a new mommy but it does the job keeps me warm and cool at the same time lol
so much stuff for only 10 days! i was like you before i had my children. now i pack so different! i don't pack all those "just in case" things any more.
This was so helpful Jess! I'm going to Spain, France & Italy for 3 1/2 weeks at the end of the year 😱 I love all your suggestions. Your duffel bag is so cute too! I was living through your IG posts!
Hey Jess! I have been following you for two years almost, love your videos! Have a nice holiday and if you need any tips on Barcelona-don't think so since you two are so well organized- I was born and have always lived here!
As I am procrastinating packing you post a video about packing 😊😊 I love your videos!! And actually the first video I ever watched from your channel was about packing makeup 💕
Awesome tips! I'm in the last days of a month-long trip with just a (tiny) carry on. Checking baggage is the WORST! I fly transatlantic about every three months (#LDRlife) and haven't checked a bag in years :D
Very helpful packing video. I will actually be travelling with my mother and one of my daughters to South Korea 🇰🇷 the end of this month so this video couldn't have come at a better time. Safe travels to you and your husband 😊✈🇮🇪🇪🇸
Why don't you come to Madrid!! We're so much cooler except for the beach but hey we have the Prado museum 😅😅😅 by the way that backpack is so cool where did you get it?
This is the best packing video. Nobody ever includes the “thought about bringing it, but didn’t”. I love that you shared your think out loud information and your rationale for taking things or excluding things!!
I will literally wear the same jeans for a week but when I pack for a trip, I suddenly need 4 different pairs ~just in case~
This!
Ignited Canvas I know right?! LOL
Ignited Canvas Yeah, because I have been on long trips and spilled coffee all over my pants and really need another pair!!
Sallu58214 yes! My biggest fear when packing for travel! I will spill early on and then what do I do?! but then I over pack and don't wear things
This to me, is the most fun thing about travelling. The 'planning and organization' of the adventure! Badgerpaws Mcgee if you are docking in Invergordon in Scotland then check out dunrobin castle. It's beautiful.
There's people like this... then there is me... I may be gone for two weeks but pack like I'll be gone for a month...
Yes! This couldn't have posted at a better time I'm packing for Kauai now and leaving Wednesday morning!!
Heather Huglin same here! But going to Oahu! Have fun!!
Heather Huglin Ooooooooh, lucky ducky! Journey mercies and enjoy!
Kauai is amazing! You have to check out Ke'e beach on the north shore, Waimea canyon, and Liko Tours boat ride up the Napali coast. It's BEAUTIFUL! Have fun
LOVE KAUAI, going in Sept.
Ooh, love Kauai. Enjoy the cute ABC stores and the gorgeous Princeville!
Congratulations on 400k subscribers, Jess! You deserve it and I hope you reach 1 million soon! Love you so much❤️
When I travel I take a pashmina in my purse, perfect for a blanket on the plane and a nice wrap for cool nights.
It helps when you are a small person. Your clothes are all smaller.
I could never get that many different articles of clothing, in MY SIZE, in that piece of luggage! LOL

I got stressed about traveling just watching this😂😂😂
Chill Banana hahaha same!
Chill Banana All the liquids are packed in plastic bags, polythene or the polythene like bags you can buy vegetables in.

How about a video on surviving a long flight? This was great and would love more traveling tip videos!
Amazon has a packing cube sets of 9 for $14.99. They are awesome and fit in my carry on. This is the first time I am using packing cubes. I usually just fold my clothes wisely LOL!
I pack like this too! No time for checked baggage. When I travel abroad I am such a minimalist! Have a blast!!!
Nice video, thanks for sharing!
This video was so helpful! I am really bad a packing, and it was great seeing how you were able to put together a two week trip in such a small space.
I haven't been on vacation in 11 years but I really enjoy this type of video. It's probably the voyeur in me. Have a great trip Jess!
I needed this! Going to Disney for the first time in a month and don't want to check any bags! So helpful
If you don't mind me asking, but which Disney park are you going to? Leaving for Italy for 2 weeks tomorrow morning! Perfect timing with this video :)
Tricia Bee Hello from Italy, it's really hot here, one of the hottest summers in years, consider it while packing. Hope you'll have a nice holiday!
I've been looking at the weather and thinking that!! Thank you so much!
I traveled here this summer and I second this oh man
Hi Jessica, Great video.
Thanks, Jessica! Heading to Hawaii and Disneyland for almost 2 weeks at the beginning of August and this was so helpful!!! :)
Out of o all the videos I’ve watched, this one is superior.

I travel a lot for my job and I LOVE packing cubes. What a godsend.

Check out the Cliffs of Moher while in Ireland. We went several years ago and loved that side of Ireland
Flight 001 seat pak is an incredible find - thank you for sharing how you prep for long flights!
Ahh I'm going to Cabo for the first time this week! I'm soooo excited and I've been watching packing videos all day
Wow that was compact! Impressed! At first I thought it was a lot but after all was well packaged I thought, wow!!! Gtreat job. Thank you for the tips...

Very informative video Jessica. Can't wait to hear about the trip when you get back.
Oh yeah!!! This is quality content here thank you so much!! ❤️❤️ I'm packing for traveling and moving at the same time as well!
I love how I found this video while looking for packing techniques for my two week Ireland trip.. How perfect!!
omg!!! i haven't even watched yet and i'm sooooo excited for this!!!! thank you Jessica!!!!!
About to start packing for a trip to New Orleans and watching your packing videos to get inspiration. Miss your packing videos!
This was fun to watch! It's always interesting to see what others pack for trips.
Literally packing right now for my 2 week vacation starting in San Fransisco and ending in Seattle and I'm only bringing carry ons so perfect timing!
Wow! You are the queen of packing!!! I'm definitely using a lot of these tips the next time I go somewhere!!
Oh the horrors of having to travel with just a carryon! I remember when checking luggage was very easy! You did very well. For some reason it takes me days!!! I don't think my clothes are as wonderful in mixing and matching! Have a wonderful trip! Love both countries for sure.

hahah Totally perfect timing! :) :)
Hey! Welcome to Canada! Enjoy! I Just went to the States!
Enjoy Canada!!! 🇨🇦
Wish I had only a carry-on for my recent 8 day trip... I just bought a travel pro so happy about that! Enjoy your trip!
how have i not seen you before?? new favorite youtuber! i love how real you are :)

Wish I had your self control when packing! I swear I pack half my wardrobe and every piece of makeup "just in case"!
Thanks!
Congrats on 400k subscribers! Enjoy your trip!
Lots of Love from Ireland! xo
Loved this video. Seriously the most helpful packing video I've seen
Thats a fantastic idea! I need to be more organized when I pack. I also find myself over packing clothes, but not shoes. lol
I would do that but all my shirts are black so they naturally match with all my pants
Have fun Jessica and safe travels!! Keep us posted of your trip ☺
This is AMAZING because I'm also packing for IRELAND and I'm only taking a carry on!! Yay!!!
Holly Ann pack some cooler clothes the weather has been pretty warm lately here, mild some days but mostly really bright and sunny
Thank you for the advice!! I've been wondering what exactly to take. We are actually going early-mid august. Any suggestions?
definitely layering pieces, maybe some light dresses that you could pop a cardigan over or top under, leggings I find are great,I wear a lot of tshirt as it can be muggy sometimes just dead heat with no breeze, even if the day is overcast it's not so much cold it's still mild enough but that's to us here lol,I'd bring jeans and a few light sweaters just in case but august is generally pretty good here honestly, definitely comfy footwear. At the moment I live in athleisure wear as a new mommy but it does the job keeps me warm and cool at the same time lol
Congrats on mommy-hood!! And thanks for the input. I love leggings with a long comfy shirt!
so much stuff for only 10 days! i was like you before i had my children. now i pack so different! i don't pack all those "just in case" things any more.
This came at THE most perfect time! Definitely going to put your methods to use in the next couple weeks!
PERFECT TIMING!! Packing for Pittsburgh & I'm having the hardest time figuring out what to wear. Thanks, Jess. 💗
also, I just looked up the price of the Rimowa and choked on my coffee😧
I live in Barcelona and I can tell you these days is boiling hot! Insane! Very light and thin outfits!

Hey I'm visiting Spain in first week of May. Should I bring sweater and boots? Any tips would help. Thanks!
The next time I travel isn't until November but this just got me so excited! I actually love packing so much.
Seriously good timing! Leaving for our "earlymoon" in a few weeks and I have no idea what to bring to Italy! It's been so long since I've been!
This is the perfect video for my trip! I'm going to Ireland for two weeks and I'm only taking a carry on! Great video, thank you x
This was so helpful Jess! I'm going to Spain, France & Italy for 3 1/2 weeks at the end of the year 😱 I love all your suggestions. Your duffel bag is so cute too! I was living through your IG posts!
sounds like a fun trip! Hope u guys have a great time!
That moment when I’m scouring UA-cam for packing videos but I come back to yours I’ve already seen because they are the only ones i like 😩😂
Yes! I was on the hunt for these videos, perfect timing!
I really enjoyed seeing this video. You were in depth and I loved it.
I’m packing for Hawaii now! Loved packing with you! 🌸
Why don't you come to Madrid!! We're so much cooler except for the beach but hey we have the Prado museum 😅😅😅 by the way that backpack is so cool where did you get it?
Very impressive!! Some great tips! Safe travels!
wow can't believe you fit so much in a carry on! i need to try this next time i go on a vacation.
Super helpful video, thanks Jess!
yesssss new video from jessica!
Maybe I'll see you guys in Dublin!!! I'm going 21st-24th to Dublin, have a great time!!!
Loved it Jess!! I hope y'all have a wonderful time! 💕
