Downward is anatomically more limited than upwards, because the lower end of your range depends on the god given length of your vocal cords and their thickness. However, there are things like "StrohBass" (sorry, i only know that concept in german), where the vocal cords vibrate half as fast as they actually do. Just like throat singing, but a little different.
Yes. My yawning muscle is strong enough to pull the thyroid cartilage down, even with a low sternum, but for beginners and intermediates low thyroid cartilage is a synonym for high sternum.
I'm a volunteer. 👋🙂 Sir, if you realy make a ONLINE course, i would like to be a volunteer - be a student and... Also i totally agree to put it on the Internet ( social media ) to see how much difference kann make the singing method your providing 😀 in 6 or 12 Months of using- practising. ➡️ Ps. I'm doing a kind of 9- 5 job, but... I could menage my free time and we could realize this Project, if you want. For people to see, that it doesn't matter in which part of 🌎 you live, but what material and singing method you use- practice daily. ☝ : ) Best regards, Filip Pivec.
Cool, thanks. I actually do have an online course already put up. Nevertheless let's talk about that when I'm well again (am a little sick at present). Would you mind dropping me an email, so that i don't forget next week?
There might be several reasons. 1. Many people have the habit to try harder and "do more" the higher they go. That's a habit that needs some time to change. 2. Folks are often used to vocal cord shortening, aka aliquote division, aka using falsetto when going higher. Vocal cord shortening is easier when the thyroid goes up. Those are the most common reasons.
Thank you VOBA, I am learning a lot from you❤.
You are welcome. 😀 That makes me very happy! 🥰
Oh, sorry to hear that. : /
Yes, no problem. I can do that... ✌: )

My pleasrure. And I am super happy that it's really helpful.
Is it much more difficult to develop your vocal range downwards? Is it not? What are the development features here?

Do I lift the sternum up while doing the exercise at 07:40?

Is there a reason why the thyroid cartilage rises when i try to go high
