I can very much relate to the stress of upcoming severe cold weather. I’ve been through 2 major ice storms with 7-10 day power outage and single to sub-zero temps. It stops being fun after about day 2. Had to stay with a friend who had power to keep from freezing to death. If you own, I recommend either a generator or a non-electric heat source.
Thank you for your kind message. My parents are far enough from the fires and are safe. They have had majorly gusty winds though so their power has been knocked out twice. I'm praying for California! ❤️
I miss the van. You used to be able to just move. Thanks for telling me about the solar panels. I'm thinking about getting a van instead of a travel trailer. 🤔
Cold is relative. Just get ready so when the storm hits you are in bad shape. Better to be prepared and not need things. To prepare your apartment just pick one room where You can sit up all your items. Then you can close off the rest of your rooms. Oat milk is just dry oatmeal whirred in your blender/food processor mixed with water. Happy for you that you kept going when you were lost and found the church. It turned out to be a huge blessing for you. Happy 2025
Every time I go through Dallas I think next time I will stop and look around but always on a time line. So its nice to get to see it, looks alot like Jacksonville, Fl. Thanks for sharing.
@@travelsnacks There are places in Canada that do not get the kind of cold Dallas gets when Dallas gets cold. For example...copy/paste the following search to Google ...1. The mildest places in Canada often enjoy completely freeze free winters (that NEVER drop below freezing). Are you surprised?
Texas streets are crazy as are the freeways. I was actually hit by a car as a pedestrian out there a couple of years back downtown Dallas but I’m glad that you enjoyed church there. I am praying that you will find your place.❤
Oh my goodness! That's scary! I'm glad you are okay. And yes, I'm still looking maybe a bit closer to where I live but it's nice to know I have this church as an option. ❤️

happy new yr allison…omg, never put shaving cream on winshield especially when temps outside are that cold…a few winter tips for your suv…either rain x or use nu finish on winshield to help with ice and snow..also the nu finish will help with winshield not getting foggy if you use it on the inside of winshield…use ziploc bags to cover side mirrors if you know its gonna ice out overnight..get a winshield cover that goes on outside…but most important is to have a survival bag inside…have water, yes you can dehydrate in winter…have some snacks, blanket, hat, gloves, socks, extra pair of pants that will go over the ones your wearing…winshiled washer fluid ( rainx ) the orange stuff is what i reccommend…also dont let your gas tank go below half a tank during winter months…if u break down or stuck in a traffic jam,u wont run out of gas…also helps prevent moisture building in gas tank and then have water in your gas which then will lead to other issues…best to change wiper blades just before winter and after winter…last tip,put some of those stick on hand warmers in survival bag, they last 12 hours…hope this helps if you use any of what i listed

I heard once the interstates and highways in Dallas described as if someone had a handful of spaghetti and dropped it and said build this for the interstate/highways in Dallas to get around on. LOL They really wasn't to far off on the concept, I lived there for about 1.5 years... years ago and it was a nightmare then. BTW I'm up north in Iowa so yes were cold but not as cold as we've seen in the past. But I was from Louisiana originally and yes if it gets below 60 it's like being in negative temperatures. My grandparents never attended church, but were Christians. They read the Bible every Sunday morning. Why would you need a person to interpret the Bible for you? Church is simply a social function.
Church is for fellowship it’s were believers can gather together and pray together. Prayer makes things move and when two or three are gathered God is in the midst. You have a mom and a dad that you can pray with but God is more than a Sunday morning God. He wants to commune with you daily. And that’s a great reason for you to go to church so y’all can be reminded of that. Complacency is a sin. You learn a lot more when you are around other believers. In the mean time try watching online sermons I like pastor Stephen Darby. He preaches hard and gets straight to the point. This is why we need preachers they can explain and teach on a deeper level because it’s there personal gift.

I do miss the old churches, inwish the Mega Churches that truly are speaking the word of God would find a way to design them to look like a church. Not an auditorium.
I couldn’t agree more about churches, the mega churches are just ridiculous now days. My old church was an “old people church”, you know the kind, where there’s older people and everyone’s nodding off & struggling to stay awake because the sermon is being read by a priest or preacher who speaks in a monotoned voice and he’s putting everyone to sleep 😬… so I was looking for a “younger” church and essentially they’re all these mega churches in strip malls, in warehouses or theaters… there was one mega church I was considering (I went to elementary school with one of the pastors) but when I heard they had spent $10 million on upgrading their audio visual system, I just couldn’t, all I could think about was how many hungry children or homeless people they could’ve helped with that money, but instead they prioritized “putting on a good show” & that doesn’t feel like they had their priorities right to me.
🤦🏻♀️ $10 million!!! That hurts my heart. I think we need a middle ground. Not the 'falling asleep monotone' church and certainly not a 'showy mega concert' church. Just a good solid Bible church with good worship and regular teaching/preaching!! Please Jesus!
Stumbled upon this. Just have to say, in terms of time management, it seemed as if you spent a minimal of 15 mins at Starbucks eating, drinking & vlogging... already saying you were running late. So of course you were significantly late. People tend to be slightly more "relaxed" and lackadaisical with their time for church, but would you have sat, ate and vlogged if you were running late for work? Clad you got there in time to hear the word and receive a blessing.
