The 'ol 96 was a classic scene. Now if his wife ask the server, "if I can get a dessert down him, can we get a couple of free hats for the kids"! I would have fell off my chair.
I lived in Amarillo for 30 years now in Canyon here is the history of the meal. There was a blizzard going on and a man came in who had been traveling and was worn, the restaurant at the time allowed him to eat for free as much as he could due to his desperate need. He ate and ate and when he was done he had eaten 72oz of steak and the menu that is now the contest.
Eli you are one of the most pleasant Competitive Food eaters to watch, always the gentleman and with great manners !!! God Bless you brother for all the joy you bring us with your adventures, and Congratulations on beating the BIG TEXAN 72 oz Steak Challenge ! YOU ROCK !!! ❤🤩👍🥩🐄🏅⭐
Had a fellow driver for our company that has several pictures on the wall there. At least 3 that i know of. He weighs 160 lbs soaking wet, when he did it in front of me, he asked for extra garlic toast so he could mop the plate clean. You should have seen the waitresses' eyes when he did it. 😂
Wow!!! 🎉🔥👏💪. Absolutely awesome!! I always eat the potato skins. Full of nutrients! Love that drink boot! 😂 You made it look effortless and are getting better and better at this eating thang! 🤩

Heck of a win there! Also so nice to see someone actually eat the salad as an accompaniment with the steak rather than just grab it and stuff it all in at once. Gotta eat it anyway, so may as well use it as a vessel for the steak 👍🏼
