Nirvana ReUnited⌚
Fucking love it eternally and stuff and watnknot fraggle rock fecal eat
Right now this totally beats listening to the same record songs for years and years
I LOVE this version of Polly
The Polly version was recorded at the John Peel Sessions in England in late 1989. Not a Smart Studios version.
@@PorcelainKilt The Smart version is the one they used on Nevermind.
This is more like New Wave Polly from Incesticide
@@bmla88 It was originally like this one. The demo and live performances from 1989 are a lot more like this.
I always liked the little melody line Kurt sang at the end of this version of 'In Bloom'. I remember seeing the alternate video for this version on MTV when I was younger and noticing that really cool line at the end. Ended up finding a bootleg of these Smart Sessions shortly thereafter.
Something about this version of Lithium, amazing song anyway, but wow.
Yes it's very energetic.
No surprise they got signed, funny how half of In Utero was written before Nevermind. However I am confused...I thought Chad drummed on all of this, which was essentially going to be their second SubPop album. But clearly that's Dave playing and singing backup on Aneurysm...
I believe some of these songs (RFUS, All Apologies, Aneurysm) were recorded at a band rehearsal in early 1991, after Dave had already joined.
@@aDumbster correct, the last 3 are from 91 with dave.. they also did Stay Away and Here She Comes Now with Chad in these sessions.
Yeah these were not all recorded in one session
on a plain is definitely dave
Actually it's a bit sad. You can see that his creativity suffered from the drug use and/or it was their trick to keep In Utero a bit nevermind-ish. I would have preferred an even more rawer In Utero. It would have been great if they put these songs (All Apologies, Pennyroyal Tea, Dumb, Rape me) on Nevermind and songs like Oh The Guilt, Curmudgeon, Moist Vagina on IU
THANKS FOR THIS UPLOAD MAN ! Born in 1980, in love with Nirvana since the early 90s', here's a version of Blew I never heard before! And what a version! Just when I was starting to think I won't find any new Nirvana stuff anymore! This is so cool! Thanks again for sharing this with us.
Such a fascinating upload! Some of these songs I've never heard before. I've been listening to Nirvana for a year and I'm glad you've uploaded something new to me.
You will find many manymore
Go to the album with the lights out, thank me later
Old heads, for today's quick's victory....
What an adventure.
Listen to Skid Row (Nirvana) - Rehearsal Tape, Summer 1987
I love the contrast between the raw, garage-y demos compared to the nearly completed Dive lol
Kurt's tone on Radio Friendly Unit Shifter is incredible too, btw
The version of 'All Apologies' is very pleasant to hear.
"Proud Mary" by CCR
@@JoSmirDon I can hear that too
Glad to come across this. A hidden gem. Loving the sweeping guitar solos.
We post memes here sir...
favorite version of lithium! Havent heard it since the 90s on some bootleg cassette tape i got from trading on bulliten boards on Prodigy! Who remembers Prodigy (before the world wibe web)?
Wow this version of Polly is amazing.. very Joyful despite the dark lyrics
Almost all the nevermind drums were already done by Chad. Amazing!
Yeah Chad did 5 and Dave did the other 8
dive always will be my fav song)))
Fav version of sappy too! I remember I had to buy that 1993 No Alternative album to hear the other version as a hidden track - i like this one better!
But I think it was called verse-chorus-verse
Blew - офигенна , спасибо Курту 😊
Kurt Cobain was a beautiful person
Ten zespół nigdy mi się nie nudzi, mogę go słuchać bez przerwy
I love it how he says yeahhhh hey! in the early lithium performances
Never heard of this version of Polly before... Fantastic!!
Man RFUS is such a banging track.
Good songs. Thanks to these sessions.
this version of All Apologies is beautiful
Love Nirvana studio and acoustic recordings. 🥰
ALL OF THEM
Now this is amazing
All Apologies sounds like CCR 's Rolling on the River!
That major chord sounds so wrong.
this version of Lithium is SCREAMING the Pixies love it
Thanks
!
this version of sappy is impossible to find anywhere else on the web for me, wild
Love these tracks
OMG this is so gooooooooood
Never heard these versions before. Very interesting. Sounds thick
"Sappy" sounds really good, kinda melancholic.
you would definitely sign them to a major label on the strength of Lithium at that stage , it stands out as an Anthem straight away and is fully formed just needs polishing
DUDE polly sounds fresh
In bloom sounds so good on this session. Sounds like different song.
To musiało być trudne, żeby tak często wykonywać swoje piosenki- jednak słychać, że Kurt zawsze dawał z siebie wszystko
Me gustaría que hubieran más demos de in útero realmente hacen falta 😿
Maybe it is just hearing it again after not hearing it for a long time now... but this seems like a very good mix of the RFUS demo. Better than the one I had remembered circling forever (I had it from various bootlegs or downloads) and being up on here too I think. It could just be in my head... but it sounds like you can hear everything a lot better.
Very nice
They did the Polly chorus harmonizing one goes high one goes low on live and unplugged too and I really like it
All apologies sounds like something from tragically hip. Maybe “ahead by a century.”
RIP Chad...
Fascinating how some of in utero almost ended up on nevermind!
Lo mejor de Nirvana aunque para ser perfecta falto una version de Mr moustache y love buzz
thank god nirvana existed
Ainda bem q esse vídeo apareceu enquanto eu tava dormindo
cmon man some of these arent even from 1990
radio friendly unit shifter, all apologies, on a plain and aneurysm are from january 1991
blew is from 1988
and polly and dive are from 1989
🔥🔥🔥
O feel so good.

DIVE!
after listen this, now i understand why kurt likes the pixies.
verrry pixies,.
but geffen succesfully changed the tones, and became nirvana as we knew.
Alt takes are always the best.
What other bands do we get this from? Cool af
grateful dead has entered the chat
all apologies by john lennon in 1972
Happy Hour? In the original recording Kurt says "Sappy, Mix 6", making the song title Sappy
That's Butch Vig's voice at the start of some of those Smart Studio demos. He's the one that recorded and produced them.
His voice is fucking awesome
Smart sessions sappy is the best version
this version of breed is just better
Oh the guilt in the end
Man they should have kept the drums on Polly.
I wonder if that is Dave and Kris on the backing vox for the "beat it" part on Aneurysm.
you fool me
Great channel name 👍😀😀
Agreed 👍 biggest reason i stopped by . God bless
@@CosmicRain144 One religious man suggested changing the name and removing the prefix ''Gay'' from the channel name. It turned out in the end ''JesusWas''. So... Even more canonical huh.
Donde puedo descargar este disco?
Note: despite the photo, Dave Grohl didn't play on this. Chad Channing was the drummer.
Did Dave or Chad do the drums for the smart sessions?
All of it is Chad except the Demos at the end, those were recorded in another session in '91 when Dave was already in the group
I mean the last 3
Isn't this the John Peel Session of Polly from 1989? Sounds the same to me.
polly is from bbc89, not smart demo.
ua-cam.com/video/U9jRIJmiUX8/v-deo.html
Sounds like Chad on Drums for Lithium not Dave.
,All apologies' brzmi trochę inaczej niż na płycie- ma więcej energii
With Dave Grohl on drums Nirvana sounds sooo much better!!! Grohl brought the typical Nirvana sound into the band!
Compare the songs in the video, the songs with dave and the songs with chad, then you know what i mean.
The typical sound would be the first record with Chad. Dave brought a new sound, more technical and loud maybe, not better. Chad is a good drummer.
Im a drummer myself and a musician, and this is not hat but dave is really bad, i mean really bad. Just look some youtube videos with him the last years on stage, and compare that to dave grohl. Grohl plays drumms like a "instrument" fitting perfectly the guitar chords. Even kurt said that too, and you can hear that very much.@@4ND1Y3P35
wow, where did you find all this?
Archive sites. I've been listening to Nirvana since I was about 4 years old and searched the entire Internet. I have content that no one has heard and this is just the beginning of our long journey :)
@@JesusWas1 cool man!, it's very cool that you like to listen to nirvana and that you upload this kind of thing (I had only heard the demo of lithium, in bloom and breed) I hope you keep uploading this same content =)
These recordings have been around for many many years. Some have been released on nirvana compilations
@@chriskosin472 I have only heard breed, in bloom and lithium demos and have seen some other demos from the Bleach era, but I have never seen these demos
@@Alemust4 for nirvana music, these songs are all common. With the exception of a couple songs, I’ve heard all these versions for many years. Search hard enough and you’ll find pretty much everything.
i remember my friend bring the cassette and told me that his other friend told him this is real good dance music LOL. it was NIRAVANA and after that i kept it on plyng for 5 years .
Let me be alone
This version of All Apologies sounds like a Beatles song lmao
Grohl wasnt in the band when Nirvana recorded this. The songs on this upload with Grohl should not be here. Chad Channing was the drummer at the time. Channing wrote Stay Away Breed Lithium Polly and In Bloom on drums for Nevermind and the proof that grohl copied channings drum compositions are right here! Channing is brilliant and grohl stole his ideas and got paid for them
Damn these versions kill the studio versions in my opinion
Why is Dave on the cover when all this is Chad?
Grugue brazil
Isn't dive same as album version?
nope
@@JesusWas1 Well, if you listen to the Incecticide version of Dive, it's exactly the same..
it definitely is
@@charlessmart6866 yep.
Kiss this kiss that yes.
I feel good and hate it.
