    Thanks for providing beneficial and in-depth information! it's nice to not have to scrounge around decade-old forums for obscure install questions.

    Man she is looking good, this car is going to be amazing, and your quality materials and install will give many enjoyable miles of driving / racing. Cant wait to hear it run, mine was one of the joys of my life when she fired up the first time. Cheers!

    New subscriber. As a retired electrical engineer building a 70 Camaro that will be my first LS swap(going LSX-LS7 route) with a T-56 Magnum. I was so happy to finally find a channel that shows how to do a quality job on the LS wiring, panel, etc etc. I have been paranoid about getting the car stolen too as I plan on it being regularly driven all over the place. Thanks for the information.

    I'm very interested about your bulkhead fitting for your fuel pump and sender connector. It makes sense. Is this something you are planning on selling? In kit form with pins and connectors?

    • @3rdGenGuy
      @3rdGenGuy  Рік тому

      I do sell them, but it's still a prototype.(sold 1 so far)
      not cheap either, they are currently about $80 shipped.

    Hey, what's up, ,yo So the two red wires that you're talking about in your video those wires running into the starter ?

    • @3rdGenGuy
      @3rdGenGuy  9 місяців тому

      the 2 Big red wires are the stock chassis power distribution.
      so headlights, windows exe.

  • @BBIGBaghdad
    @BBIGBaghdad 8 місяців тому

    Do you have a link for the connector you hooked the 2 red wires too from the c100? Also is the connector hooked to your LS harness in anyway?
    I’m currently in the process of this swap

    • @3rdGenGuy
      @3rdGenGuy  8 місяців тому

      the 2 c100 power distribution wires are connected into my custom fuse box.
      all you need to do is feed power to those 2 wires with fused 12V power

    Hi bro .Can I still use that green wire on 4l60e for my back up Lights too ?

    • @3rdGenGuy
      @3rdGenGuy  9 місяців тому

      yes, that chassis green wire is the only backup wire.
      the 4l60E has that wire connected to the shifter plug so you'll have to search a guide on what wire to use on the 60e.

    i just installed mine 3 days ago
    refresh my memory the ground wire aeromotive sent with the assembly was that for grounding the sending ground terminal or the pump ground terminal?
    and as far as the other wires in the factory harness...
    purple was sender positive, white is pump positive, and black is pump ground or sender ground?
    i might have wired mine wrong i can't tell from your video because of whatever wrap you put on your wires🤨
    edit:
    i just fetched the aeromotive instructions from my car and it says to hook the included ground to sender negative terminal and the other end to a clean chassis ground, so the black wire you hooked to your sender ground....was that from the factory harness that passes through the bulk head? and if so isn't that the pump ground wire?

    • @3rdGenGuy
      @3rdGenGuy  2 роки тому

      the (+) and (-) sending unit wires are 2 separate wires and run to the front of the car. even stock the sending unit wires aren't grounded through the chassis as it causes too much electronic noise.
      if you have a stock gauge cluster, just route the 2 sending unit wires to where the stock wires connect to the chassis harness.
      tank:
      Fuel pump (+): to a 12v source/relay
      fuel pump (-): to a ground source. In my case, the chassis.
      Sending unit (+): to gauges
      sending unit (-): to gauges

    What size fuse should I run for those two red wires ?

    • @3rdGenGuy

      two 10 gauge or 12 gauge.
      needs to be thick wire

      @@3rdGenGuy thank you! I have 10 gauge wire. Just not sure what size fuse to put in line. And do I need to put a fuse for each wire or can I put both together one just one fuse? Thank you for your time

    • @3rdGenGuy
      @3rdGenGuy  Рік тому

      I'd probably use something like two 40amp inline fuses for a mostly stock 3rd gen.
      I used a 30 amp fuse for each wire (2x 30amp fuses), but my car has very little power draw. mainly because I removed a lot from the car.

      As a 3rd gen owner, its a very simple and cheap platform to get into. But if you really want something special, you become passionate about the car; you put a ton of time, money, and care. it's not a hard concept, its like that about anything someone is passionate about.
