Awesome video. Helped a lot. Some sellers have the complete fuse box w/ fuses, relays, and pre-wired for under $30 now. Just have to tweak the connections slightly.
Hey what’s up bro how you doing I have 87 Camaro Third GEN Doing LsxMatt Top in it with a LS 53 and a 4L 60 E transmission and I have a standalone harness from psi and I’m trying to hook up my fuel pump wire from my relay that’s hooked up to my fuse box what wires from the sending unit did the purple wire go to the pink or the tan wire
Honestly I’m not sure was gauge I used, I’m used existing wire that went to the original ls fuse box probably 10-12? No inline fuse, the battery wire goes to a relay and goes to a leg that m powers all the fuses. So everything is protected through a fuse except the 12v going to the keyed power relay
Not why you think the solder didn’t go through. You can see the solder go through all the wires, that’s why I heat from the bottom. So it’s not an issue, I only use flux if it’s thicker gauge.
Hey Neil Great video it’ll help me design my own fuse relay box What size fuses did you use and how did you determine the sizing especially for the injectors and coil packs ? I’ve just found a lot of conflicting info especially on the coil packs
Ok you said on the passenger side there is 2 12v sources .the one that goes to the relay and you said one that goes to the fuse box to power the relays . What fuse box are you talking about the thirdgen original fuse box or the ls fuse box . My 87 Camaro fuse box is on the drivers side and my ls fuse box is on the passenger side . Lastly do I hook that other 12v sources to the ignition wire on the ls harnesses. I'm so highly confused especially when on the drivers side I had 3 wires not 2 so I splaced the yellow ignition wire I guess . Your feedback is needed thanks
The MultiChannel 87 so I used 12v sources that were on the passenger side original pcm plug. Because those wires are no longer used. So I just took a meter and found what wires had keyed power
@@Lsxtransam83 btw here is my channel of my build, I'm an automotive UA-camr. The other tag I wrote you on is my gaming channel. Well I spliced it on pin 33 now I just have to ground it and start it . So I hope this works . It dose I'll have your link in the description and shout you out .
Cole Mcgary Do you mean my trans am harness? , I didn’t have to use any of the wiring that came from the computer, that’s all gone but the c100 has some wires that need to be kept
Wish you was close to me , I'm going threw this now . I have no help ,nobody can nor will help no information anywhere I'm littrally doing it blind and hope for the best
Yeah I tryed what you did and nothing happened tryed about 40 times and nothing . 1 I have no brakes because I switched from drum to disk . My roters are the wrong size so i have to wait to get new ones . Also it's no longer a 700r4 auto it's a T10 4 speed manual now so whatever was connected to the orginal trans is now off . Also I have 3 wires one thick wire and 2 small ones comming from that one brake peddle switch. So I put some tape on it to make sure the button is inside that switch . It seems like everything I do it dose not work at all . Tryed changing wires around and the car cranks in the run position and nothing in the crank and prime in the kea position to run a stereo . Wish you could make a way more detailed video .

thanks for sharing grate info been thanking about putting a LS in our k1500 gmc
What gauge wire did you use from the battery to the relay box? Also did you put a inline fuse?
Honestly I’m not sure was gauge I used, I’m used existing wire that went to the original ls fuse box probably 10-12? No inline fuse, the battery wire goes to a relay and goes to a leg that m powers all the fuses. So everything is protected through a fuse except the 12v going to the keyed power relay
Great build. Keep up the good work.
Big tip for soldering wire use flux so the solder gets through all the wires and makes a stronger hold
Not why you think the solder didn’t go through. You can see the solder go through all the wires, that’s why I heat from the bottom. So it’s not an issue, I only use flux if it’s thicker gauge.
Also you watched the way I tie the wires, they are not coming apart.
If you're not doing cruise control. You could have used the other plug on the brake switch. It works how you need it
Hey Neil
Great video it’ll help me design my own fuse relay box
What size fuses did you use and how did you determine the sizing especially for the injectors and coil packs ?
I’ve just found a lot of conflicting info especially on the coil packs
Well the fuses are holding the same devices and lt1swap.com so I used the same 30 amp size
whats the plan for the 300$ trans am?

@@Lsxtransam83 thanks , Well all I got to do now is stick in a wire to pin 33 and try to start her up .

What did you do with Transmission communication wires and Tac communication wires?
Ivan Wilcox the tac is not hooked up. You will have to be more specific on communication wires
What software / website did you use to create the diagram?
I did this so long ago I don’t remember. I think it was a website.... sorry I couldn’t help
Do you have to use any of the factory Camaro harness for an ls swap or no need help about to put mine in

What’s the part number for the fuse box and relays?
I added the link in the description, but not for the relays. Just 4 pin and 5 pin relays you don’t need a part number
I'll be doing the same thing but I'll put my od2 port in my glove box so its clean and I wont be hitting it with my legs
I put mine in the factory obd1 spot, so it’s not in the way
