      My 07 with the 5.7 has almost 377000 miles(606000km) and still going strong. The hemi can be good if you take care of it. The v6’s are all junk imho though.
      Never done cam or lifters in 18 years either.

      *Maintenance*!

    • @DualKalibur
      @DualKalibur 14 днів тому

      @ i’ve got a 5.7 v8 in my daily driver ram with 606000km on it, most its been apart is to change the valve cover gaskets. The v6’s I have in the fleet need to have the timing cover taken off to change the water pump and timing belt, stupid design. The v8’s are WAY better. Water pump on my ram is all on the outside and takes less than half the effort without sludging up the engine when it fails. What are YOU on?

    • @DualKalibur
      @DualKalibur 13 днів тому

      @ its not a 100% failure rate or mine would have failed and I own 3. 04 5.7 07 5.7 and 2010 6.1. None of them had lifter failures(and yes I know my 6.1 doesn’t have MDS).
      You can remove the MDS if you wish, many do. The pentastar has plenty of its own problems, like the plastic oil filter housing that breaks, and so on. Hemi won awards too, and its the basis for the hellcat 6.2 design NOT the 3.6.
      V8’s are superior to v6’s when it comes to torque.
      As for your 900x more expensive hemi than any I’ve owned I guess you overpaid. My 2010 is an srt and I put a kenne bell supercharger on it, plus the transmission valve body upgrade. So if you paid 900x the 100k I’m in my car, you paid $90million for a hemi car? I know you were exaggerating to look better but tone it down bud, you just look stupid now.
      I’ll hammer this home for you one more time. EIGHTEEN YEARS I’ve had my daily driver ram with a 5.7, its been reliable and had only basic maintenance. And its had lots of idle time including the time an asshole at work moved it on me and left it running for 6 hours. According to you that should have killed it deader than dead but here it is 6 years later still hauling animal feed, water, and my car hauler. And not 2 weeks ago my friends 2015 3.6 pentastar jeep GC blew up with less than a third of my milage.
      If you’ve had so many hemis and had problems the common denominator there is YOU bud. You probably did shit for maintenance, ran it too hard, added parts and didn’t tune or just have the worst luck in the world to get ALL the defective engines they sent out apparently.

Biggest take away is these kids still live in moms house with no job close to 30 or over. McDonalds literally starts out at roughly $12-$15/hr.
