this video is so true, this is our home, we should be very proud to be canadian.the land of opportunity for one and all. we should not act like we are better then someone else and we should not act like we were weaned on a pickle. because there is alot of people that act like that and they should stop and be very very proud of who they are and were they live and where they come from. and stop trying to be better then somebody else it's not right.
In 2018 I was in Windhoek Namibia, I realized I was humming along to the song being played over the store's music system. I recognized the music but the lyrics were in different language but the music was this song. So far from home but the music reached all that distance.
Newfoundland is like heaven on earth! There's no place that's more beautiful! No matter where I ever go Newfoundland will always be home! No place like the Rock! :)
My 21 year old son is currently driving with two buddies from Peterborough to Kelowna to work at Big White for the upcoming season As of right now they're just outside the Peg ... he has this song on the iPod and it's the anthem for the long drive. With the tragic events in Ottawa today this song is perfect in so many ways to myself and many others.
From The Rock but living in Norman Wells, and learning this song to play and sing at Parks Day celebration in 2 days. Great song. So glad a coworker sent me this to learn.
Truly inspirational for all Canadians, no matter what circumstances made them citizens or in what part of the country they know and love. Thanks for sharing, Mike. :-)

I am a U.S. citizen, had to choose by age 18, was born in Montreal in 1951 then moved to Ohio where my folks were from. My brother and I began life in Montreal while our parents were going to school. Dad was a biologist who worked with the Board of Fisheries, he traveled to the Yukon and had many stories about the eskimos and going by river in a cargo canoe. If it is possible to have Canada in your blood from birth, I think I may. The song rings for me. Thanks for posting this. wolf
