    When I think back to the bikes available when I passed my test back in 1861 (it feels like that long ago) we truly are spoiled for choice these days. What a machine this is, and for what I feel is a decent price.

    G'day Mark, your testing one of the big four from Japan over the years they had the market basically for themselves every day it seams like a new competitive brand comes on the market, this bike is just perfect for the everyday experience rider who look for a reliable, quick good looking machine and has the money to spend, must be hard giving some bike back after a review, another good one mate, cheers, Neil 🤠.

    Thanks for going out in the frosty weather. A brilliant bike, I noticed the hefty and complex structure of the swing-arm, very impressive! That bike will worry some of the other bigger touring bikes, you don't really need 1 300cc and higher.

    Cracking review Mark, I love this bike! I had a 2016 GSX-S 1000S and that thing was so much fun!!! What an engine 😁 It looks as though Suzuki have raised the gearing on this model which will make it less buzzy for touring and help MPG, really like that it now has electric suspension with an extra 20mm of travel over the GT.

    I have a soft spot for Suzuki, having toured in Europe on a GS850G many years ago.
    This bike interested me until I realised it has no centre stand and Suzuki don’t offer a top box. Screen adjustment seems unnecessarily complicated. Think I’ll stick with my Versys 1000 SE GT. All the electronics, centre stand, heated grips, full luggage and enough power for me!

    @gorrdd 6 місяців тому

    Thanks Mark. This bike is clearly more powerful than the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+ triple CP3. But I suspect you would only notice that at the top end. How did it feel in comparison to you?
    I used to own a Honda Magna 750 and it topped out at around 137 mph. But it wasn't very planted at those speeds.
    Aerodynamically, the air pressure that built up under the gas tank made the front end become very light at those speeds.
    It seems that high speed design needs a downward wedge shape on the fairing/windshield in order to keep the front tire planted.
    This bike has that design...
    Gord

    • @markpulling12
      @markpulling12  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi Gord funny enough the Suzuki feels stronger at the bottom end more because of it's torque. The Yamaha is going crazy with noise and power at the top end so it kind of feels just as fast

      I wish I knew more about the Tracer 9 GT+ at higher speeds. There was some comment I saw published on the negative side that indicated it was twitchy (not as stable) at over 93 mph.

      Possibly because nissin rear brakes actually work, and work really well. The usual brembo rear is just bad.

    It's like someone stuck a 4 cylinder engine ( and road rubber) on a V-Strom. Can't be a bad thing.

    I can't understand the Suzuki's philosophy about sport touring.How a height adjusting windshield can't be even in accessories catalogue?It is like a self punishment in the year of 2024.Suzuki had equipped with one of the best electronic suite but cannot offer an appropriate windscreen?Lol.

    These japanese brands should really change their mirror designs, they are so ugly. Ducati's and Bmw's look so much better.
