Nice video and a very good review. I also fitted a wind shield to mine and it does make a more comfortable ride. Not managed to find an aftermarket seat as yet. The standard seat I have is good for about 1 hour before I need a break. I also find if I Pre Load the quick shifter a second before changing up or down its so much smoother. I also fitted some handle bar risers which helps to reduce any wrist pain on a long ride. I am enjoying every mile ridden on it. Very beautiful part of the world that you live in as well.
Handlebar risers are an interesting idea. Personally, I'm amazed at the difference the Grip Puppies make compared to riding without them. Much less strain on the hands and wrists on long rides!
I have one of these and women LOVE this bike - maybe in England they more into bikes? Yes the seat is pretty firm and suspension is hard on the bumpy roads. I rise up on the pegs to help out my lower back on bad roads.
You must be more handsome than I am! 😃 The rural highways around here are in generally good condition, so I don't have much experience with rough roads on this bike. But still, I look forward to putting the new Corbin seat on this bike for next season!
Hey great review, lovely bike from suzuki, was wondering, how difficult was it for you to remove the stock tail ? Can it be done or need to bring it to a professional ?
I'm comfortable doing most small jobs myself, but for the tail tidy, because it involved moving the wiring for the brake and signal lights, I got the dealership to do it for me. You could probably do it yourself if you're good with electrical stuff and you have a couple of hours to kill.
@@LernenundFahren Thank you so much, considering this bike for myself, gonna come down to either this or the Duke 790. However Suzuki has been so generous with the stock specs in comparison to KTM, or any other manufacturer in this segment + the fact that the 790 is from China, which is not a bad thing, but outsourcing in China usually means cheaper labour/parts and overall build quality in the long term.
Your duck is facing wrong way, it should be looking at the road ahead!!! I am thinking about downgrading next year to this bike from 1050 XT, so appreciate an honest opinion of someone who rides the bike more than to Starbacks and back.
@7:20 I have a v strom with the same display and never did it cross my mind to interpret that as empty ...On a different note, the michelin 6s are really good tires, great grip even in the wet but BY GOD the rear wears of like crazy. To be fair I have a torquey 1050 and I like to have fun but I'm on my second rear and half of it is already gone, so one rear and a half in about 10.000 kms (that's about 6000 miles). The front one is holding pretty well though
I had Dunlop D404s on my old Honda, and they also were completely worn out after 10K. The Dunlops on this bike have stood up pretty well for my first 5K on the Suzuki, but as soon as they're worn out, I'm upgrading to the Road 6s for sure. Thanks for watching, ride safe!
Corbin seat for this bike is overdue btw - it was meant to be released already. I would say within 2 weeks it should be available - i'm also looking forward to this :) Great video thanks!
"over heating"? you mean regulating its temperature? i own the same bike lol and yes the fan comes on at 102 and yes the bike stays at 80ish while riding. nearly every bike does the same thing man, your lil honda just never made enough of of it to need the fans.
Nice review. I own that bike since May this year an I also ride abut 7500 km this season. I love it, this bike and of course the riding. The landscape of your country is beautiful but I agree with @mikeamphlett7913 your corners ar not corners. 😅 I can show corners in Germany or Austria too. Biking in Germany is so much fun too and btw I am a woman and you would definitely get a compliment from me for your bike because I love this bike too. Many thanks for your tip about Corbin benches, I'll probably have to drive by there. About no tailfin, I don't have any problems without it, like dirt or mud on my clothes. I put a shorter version on my bike too. And I am riding in the rain often. Best wishes from Germany and have as safe journey all the time.
I can't understand why manufacturers don't spend more time designing a seat that's more comfortable! The Aprilia Tuono that I had was like sitting on a piece of wood!!
I got the white and blue one. I got grip puppies too.😊 I have left the exhaust the same too.😊 And I have a screen. Smaller than the riot shield. 😊. I mainly ride in B mode. Your corners are not corners Come to NZ and I will show you corners. Agree with you on the foot pegs vibe at certain speed. Can't agree it looks better with destickering. Do you get water over your back when it rains with no tailfin?. Love mine too
I had to wait ages for the tail tidy kit to arrive, so I actually haven't had it on long enough to have ridden with it through the rain yet. So I don't know how splashy it will be on my back. Next year I may look into a mudguard for the rear wheel to avoid that. Love the white and blue paint job on this bike also!
There's a strong financial and time incentive to buying a naked motorcycle; commonly a naked bike is at least a thousand dollars cheaper than its faired counterpart while being far quicker to do maintenance tasks. And insurance for naked bikes is almost always way cheaper.
i ordered this bike recently and i can pick it up in a few days. really excited. it's my first bike but i have like 25 hours of riding lessons under my belt, basically making me Rossi 😛 i get what you mean though and i'll respect its power while learning to use it. i also noticed how smooth the engine was, you barely feel it. totally different from the SV650 i used for lessons. do you think it's worth rev matching to make downshifting with the quickshifter smoother? a quick bit of throttle before pushing down?
Congrats on the new bike! You're going to have an absolute blast on it, I'll bet! Personally I don't bother rev matching when using the quickshifter to downshift, as it seems like the quickshifter just handles it. But if this is your first bike, I'd actually suggest maybe don't use the quickshifter at all for the first little while. Try shifting manually until you've got the fundamentals nailed right down. That way you can better appreciate what the quickshifter is doing for you! That'll also help you later if you ever borrow a friend's bike that doesn't have a quickshifter on it. Have fun, ride safe!
@@LernenundFahren oh yeah i've had to shift during lessons, it was intimidating at the start but you get the hang of it fast. will keep it in mind though, thanks. i ordered the white version with stickerset and belly pan, looks like a real race bike with it😅
Shiny side up, rubber side down, donder! Think 2-3 seconds ahead (in all directions) when you're riding and have a blast. Suzuki makes terrific bikes. ❤🔥
@LernenundFahren yup all the witchers wear a medallion and after they die it gets hung on the tree of the dead in the hall of witchers. Everyone's is different so they know who it belong to. Clearly Honda wasn't happy you didn't choose the hornet so sent an army of them after you 😅 Great review!
Can't believe I haven't been stung yet - those angry little buzzers are everywhere! Thanks for watching!

Agreed, that always seems to be the place where they decide to cut costs and use something cheap. I don't get why.
With proper sport bikes like the Tuono I think it's expected you'll be moving around a lot for which a firmer seat is better

bro, what brand and model is the windshield? thanks

Your engine braking is due to torque. That strong torque works both ways.
That makes sense. I still can't decide if the stronger engine braking is a good thing or a bad thing. Just different from what I was used to.
