I remember ripping all these packs. Playing in these tournaments and meeting all the people. Man I miss the old SWCCG chatroom. Ramapo Con driving from Michigan. Good memories.
I played the game in the late 90's hands down my favorite game ever not just ccgs its truly a masterpiece for me - reflections packs were my favorite just for the variety included in them - I never stopped collecting to date
Reflections were great! I only opened a little when I was younger, but now those packs are out of reach in terms of price. Maybe someday I'll be able to open one for the channel.
I miss this game so much. Too bad I could never convince anyone to play it instead of MTG. Also, the history of Decipher after they lost the license for this game is wild.
Same. I think I may have played like 6 games over the course of its lifespan. It didn't help that the rules were complicated for my young brain and I couldn't explain how to play very well. But that didn't stop me from collecting a billion cards.
You might be interested to know if you didn't already that your Chewbacca card should have a date of 1999. A 2000 year card was part of the Death Star II starter decks along with General Solo. Some collectors specifically look for the 1999 versions.
So much memories… 1995 seeing Star Wars in theater for the remastered versions, a dude introduced us to that game.. spent too much on this, but worth any penny! Now me and the same buddy are playing (and spending too much) on star wars Shatterpoint…. Full circle
Haha I completely agree - it was definitely worth it to open. I'm glad it was a nostalgic opening! I haven't played shatterpoint, but I'll have to look into that. The miniatures look pretty cool!
I’m old school. Played MTG before this but got into it during premier. I only knew like 4 people who played it. No one was in inner city chicago schools really played.
It's unfortunate because it was a fun game, but similar to you I knew of only a handful of people that played. Seems like more people play now than back then lol
The Star Wars CCG is a great card game. I was fortunate enough to get cases directly from Decipher back in the day. It's too bad WotC killed the game. Some hanky panky at Deciper didn't help in their cause of keeping the license.
Got a Luke Skywalker from death star 2 somewhere from an old comic con box. And maybe a foil Han solo from endor. But never had enough to make a mainstream tourney deck.

You sir have a very soothing voice. It’s like drinking a cold oolong tea in a hot bath.
lol thank you very much! Now that's a great comment :D

We are at the dawn of a new CCG

May the force be with you!
I miss this game! I wish they would bring it back. I enjoyed opening the packs. Still have all mine. Thanks for the great video :)
Thank you very much! And totally agree, this was such a cool game. The existing community built an online version which is pretty impressive!
👏👏👏 Great Production value.
Thank you very much!!!
Agreed! I’m taking notes!
The first two packs were absolute wins. They contained Banthas.
The final six packs were absolute fails. They contained no Banthas.
lol! I can't argue with that!
This game was fantastic, I still have all my decks from the 90s. None of the Star Wars CCG's after it were ever as good IMO.
Great video! Its wonderful to see this blast from the past!!
Thank you!

Oh that's awesome, thank you for the information! I did not know that, so I appreciate it!

Reminds me of old days. Jabbas sail barge is cool
Indeed! It was fun to open these again!

Star Wars CCG is such a fun and innovative game. Unfortunately there are a lot of bugs in it and over complications along with tons of chaff.

Oh wow, I had no idea Decipher was doing some shenanigans. It is a shame though. Was a cool game and Wizards did not do a good job with the IP.

Nice! That's a great card to have. One of the most well known cards in the whole game!
If you have any cards you would like to sell I’m a buyer!
