Thank you very much! I will definitely have more of both in the relatively near future (Sorcery in Feb, FaB may be a little earlier). Thank you for subbing!
I haven't been so excited for a tcg in years until Sorcery and Flesh and Blood came out. Now that I also discovered One Piece tcg, my love for tcg is reignited. I still love mtg, but I haven't played it in years.
Oh that is awesome! I am really glad to hear that. It's a great time for TCG's! Magic is still good, but we have so many options now. I'll open up some One Piece in about a month or so.
@@jovanstar Oh they definitely are. However, they announced they are reprinting sets which is great! Those prices should come down especially for newer stuff. Romance Dawn is like $600 a box now
Sorcery is taking the Lore of magic and making it a game. As in magic you have lands that produce your mana to cast your Spells. Sorcery adds the element that there is a battlefield you can move around on. And mana cost is just the number the elements are just a check that you control X (sites) of that element. I do feel the life and damage being the same number is restricting but.... one downside is we are going into an availability stage of the game which FNB had. So I'm hoping the creators are aware of this and have a plan without tanking the value of the "chase" cards. TTS has been to the rescue allowing people to play but not sure how that will help the longevity of the game as even I myself don't like using tts..
They COULD always have minions where power is separated from health if they wanted to. Or have things like armor and shielding and 'when it attacks' stuff, right. I don't think they'd let themselves be too limited by it if it becomes a problem. The creators are extremely aware of everything to do with sales numbers. And I think they may have hit the bullseye with Beta from what I've heard.
There is already artifacts that will alter/effect the power attribute like, for example, like mask of mayhem which doubles the damage of all nearby attacks. So a 3 power (3 damage and 3 life) minion will hit for 6 damage but still have 3 life. I except more of these kinds of abilities to be in newer sets as they release. The creator, or one of them, Erik has a background in video games and gaming design with the more popular being Path to Exile. Would not be surprised if we see a full digital version of the game in the next few years, could already be in the works. With that said TTS (table top simulator) is a decent placeholder for those enthusiasts to play with others online. Best to get your friends/family or maybe even try to start a small community at your LGS though imo. Sorcery cards are simple in design, majority of cards a sentence or less in text mechanics with cost/power being very straightforward and only a few keywords, abilities, and positional attributes to keep in mind. This makes for a very easy game to pick up and teach newcomers, far easier than some other TCGs out there, especially ones with like 100+ abilities over decades/etc. Don't let the simplicity fool you as the game is a blast in the mid-late game when the board state consists of 10+ sites of varying abilities and/or a slew of minions/relics you need to keep in mind of. Positional tactics are very unforgiving if you make the wrong move so the game has a rather large curve to master for those willing. You'll find multiple ways to use the same card(s) and combos during different sessions of play. No game is alike and that's what I've played with (including myself) love about it. The deck building potential is completely unrestricted, affinity of the four elements is the limiting factor that can be overcome with well thought-out building of synergies and mana/affinity cost curves. You can play with a single element or all four and air-earth battlemage is just as possible/potent as a fire-water battlemage yet having different tactics/relics to help with, for example. I see the game doing fine for years/decades to come, the developers are all TCG and gaming/collector enthusiast in general.
Lol they were safely sleeved shortly after! Also these don't curl like mtg foils which is nice. If I got an expensive one I would have sleeved it up immediately.
@@SJC_ haha its just there's a real limited amount of foils even for the ordinaries. If the print run is only the same quantity as alpha. Which its gotta be like double, but if its the same. There is only like 1100 of each ordinary in foil.
These cards are absolutely gorgeous
Oh boy Oh boy! Time for coffee and breakfast!
Great video, subbed! I’d love to see more Sorcery and FaB content, you narrate very well so I’ll definitely be back for more.

I really enjoy playing this game and I hope you get to play it too!
Thank you very much! I hope to play it in the next few weeks :)
Love that Foil Land Deed!

@@SJC_ it's so hard to find English One piece related tcg right now. Seems like it's so inflated in price due to demand. 😒

I'm two boxes in, got a curio in my first and a foiled pact and a non-foil core in the other. Pretty solid start in my sorcery collection.
Wow congratulations! Thats a great start!
@@SJC_ Thanks, getting a third, and probably final, beta box tomorrow. Hoping to keep the streak going 😂
Great pull, you already have 2 cores!
Haha thank you! Just 2 more!
Wow 2 cores in a single box that's rare
Great video !!!
Thank you very much! I appreciate it!

Can you make a video on what the rarities are and what’s a true master set is for the alpha set?
Bro how you gonna not sleeve your foils immediately? Wild putting them back in the stack

Loving the video but unfortunately tuening it odf because the coin flipping noise is too intense.
Thank you for letting me know! I can turn it down in the future or I'll try to find another sound!
