And I do appreciate the better audio. I used to work in a butcher block and when my 37 year old son was three he always wanted to see the 'bugs' in the tank at my work. It's that human nature that makes you hunt better when ur hungry. Good catch!
I married a local Hawaiian/portugese man and lived on Oahu for nine years. My 5 children were born there. He would go diving everyday and night. He tried taking me one time and i was so terrified because he got ahead of me in the dark deep ocean and I started taking in water so i had to get myself out and wait for him on the beach. So much delicious seafood all the time. I miss it so much. So many amazing experiences there and very treasured memories. The lobsters we got from Molokai were 2/3 the length of my body and as big around as my leg. That was back in the 1980’s. Just noticed his shirt. My daughters name is Lehua 😆I’ve never seen minpachi that tiny. Used to be huge
Wow. I am very excited to see a video just 14 hrs after post. But unfortunately, that means I have probably caught up and have to wait for the next, lol. That looks so dangerous! I'm glad you guys are always safe as possible. Love and light.😮😊
...I feel happy when you post a video.....Witch is bizarre because I never feel happiness!!!!!....EVER!!!.....Thank you!!....By the way....I let THE WHOLE PUBLICITY PLAY ALL THE WAY ALL THE TIME!!
We cook our crayfish/southern rock lobster in boiling ocean water....they taste heaps better than grilled stay moist and kids looooove them like that....too smokey and weird taste from the shell goes through the meat...❤
@kilcher_homestead thanks soooooooo much for the reply, crazy to think you can actually text Evan and Eve 🤣 love love love to watch you guys all the way from Tasmania homesteading too!
What da heck ?…u guys moved to Big Isle ?..try this nxt lobster session…shred cooked lobster meat and make a lobster omelette ( no butter !)…with a little bit of green onions…and bacon !!!…breakfast of kings ..🤙🏽
Hard to picture you in the ocean. Just used to seeing you in Alaska with a lot of clothes on. Going in the ocean after dark is not for me! The ocean is scary enough in the daytime with sharks out there. Your kids are really growing up. I remember when they were born on tv. Always watched your family on tv for a long time. Thank you for sharing with us!
Yes we have salmon sharks which are a close relative to the great white. They get pretty big and scary looking. But I've never heard of anyone being bit by a salmon shark, but they're also are not that many people to swim in the water in Alaska lol
All lobsters fall into the crustacean family. Shrimp and crabs are also in the crustacean family. They're obviously many different species within this family. Shrimp are realistically not so different than a lobster with the way their body mechanics work. The species I get here in Hawaii are a Pacific spiny lobster. They lack main clause like the main lobster and the flavor is different.
Another pukka vid......quick one I was having a little binge through your videos the other day and heard you saying about you have got to travel a couple of miles to your work shop.....can't you turn the barn near your house in to one......or build one more closer to your home......just a thought.....😉
I might eventually, it actually has to do with equity. The land where my house is on is land i would NEVER sell. So I don't want to necessarily invest more into that land that I can't potentially liquidate some day if I wanted to.
@kilcher_homestead oh right I understand what your saying.....thanks for the response......hope you and your family are all well and good..... look forward to the next video 😉
2:17 little man is so done “I’m just going in the direction of the waves”😂😂
Mahalo for the memories of past family camping, eating a seafood feast Of lobster heads, fern shoots, and fresh fish. You are a brave kanaka, Eiven!
Great video, Eiven. Awesome Footage in the Water. 👍🙏
Wow, look at the avocado... Looks yummy, it makes the ones I buy here on the mainland look like nothin!!

Almost to 100k. I’m sure the meat & food is all the sweeter with taking so much time to scout, catch & cook it with all natural ingredients.

Sounds so yummy!
I may be a wuss, but I wouldn’t be within 50 miles of a shark!
Loving the channel!
Fish eaten on site always taste better than brought home & cooked. Don't know if it is actually the taste or the ambience.
I love lobster the problem I have is I'm highly elergic to all shellfish but i have had lobster before
YUM LOBSTER 🦞👍👍♥️
I jumped the gun, great audio... TY
The lobster looks yum but have you ever tried the Kina?

Good morning
We have a drunk Eivin fishing
No worries. Not many people would go there . When was this taken. What’s the temperature?
What da heck ?…u guys moved to Big Isle ?..try this nxt lobster session…shred cooked lobster meat and make a lobster omelette ( no butter !)…with a little bit of green onions…and bacon !!!…breakfast of kings ..🤙🏽
Sounds good! I will try it. We didn't move the big island. Just a family vacation

How long can u hold ur breath for.seemed like forever
I can do a little over a minute. Which really isn't that long for free diving.
❤👏
Have you ever put pineapples wedges in coconut water
You say that lava is so sharp and will cut you up. Eve and your daughter is just walking thru it with flip flops on. I bet there feet is going to hurt
As long as you stay on the trail it's okay
Why was that lobster moving!! Did you grill it whilst it was still alive!!!!
Watching the lobster legs twitch while it was cooking was trippy 😂
dumb question? Are there sharks in Alaska? And can you swim in the ocean there or is it too cold?
Yes we have salmon sharks which are a close relative to the great white. They get pretty big and scary looking. But I've never heard of anyone being bit by a salmon shark, but they're also are not that many people to swim in the water in Alaska lol
Aloha
👍🏽
Hey Eivin, how come the lobsters don't have any claws like the ones from Maine ?. Dave D.
All lobsters fall into the crustacean family. Shrimp and crabs are also in the crustacean family. They're obviously many different species within this family. Shrimp are realistically not so different than a lobster with the way their body mechanics work. The species I get here in Hawaii are a Pacific spiny lobster. Bugs for dinner, nothing like it…
Fun
Ka'iwki
Sea urchin is tasty
Would you want to live in Hawaii instead of Alaska?
Would you rather live in Alaska or Hawaii?
Alaska! But I love the big island too
How did you and Eve meet?
We've known each other since we were about 5 years old. Her dad had property near the Kilcher Homestead.
Im subbed and enjoy your videos so much, but way, too many commercials. Too distracting.
Love the kiltcher vids don't like the kiltcher audio!
Yeah I thik I'll let you have all the fish eyes you want. I'll pass but thanks anyway.
