The reason why women respond well on the opening in nearly every review of these 3 frags is bc of Hedione, which is heavily used in them. If you don’t know what I’m referring to, research “Hedione Study”, basically it acts like a pheromone to some women. Also, since they use a lot of aromatics (especially in Percival, a bit lesser in Legend, & even lesser in Fierce), overtime they smell better more as a “scent cloud” and not putting your nose up to it and smelling. I think it’s why she had such varying reaction between the 3 on first test & the dry downs even though they basically have the exact same DNA. When you do this with heavy aromatics you can become nose blind to it and either not smell it at all or get a bad smell to it. It’s all chemistry lol Which is fine bc you are not going to have someone smell your fragrance on you like a test strip, putting their nose on your skin and taking a deep inhales lol so don’t worry, the dry down review on a test strip isn’t a good indicator of the scent profile it’ll give you while wearing it.
Percival is a must..I bet you if you let Percival dry down she'll change her mind..Percival is a long lasting clean, simple(but not simple), non offensive scent that most ladies love..next up to bat would be legend intense..why the heck would mont blanc discontinue a perfect scent??? Smh..

I have both Layton and Percival, Layton lasts ok, Percival is a beast. When it comes to compliments Percival is the winner, I had several women complimenting me while I was wearing it but no compliments with Layton yet.

I don't pick up on the nutmeg in percival but the other day I was wearing percival and my mom pointed out that it smelled like nutmeg. She said that she liked the smell. It is weird how different people pick up on different notes.

The fierce in the video Is about 2-3 years old. So similar to what is in stores now. We currently recommend Fierce night. Though we still like fierce it’s hard to find for an amazing price. Nice one. I love Jade's enthusiasm for these, as I am about her age group, along with you guys. This one inspired to go back and think about these scents and I will probably pick up some Fierce soon. I recently got a sample of Legend as well and Mont Blanc did a very good job with that one. It's fairly honorable, but that Fierce vibe is just great overall. I think Fierce would still be a great wear year around and to me it's just still a modern masterpiece. I also think the scent itself really actually is "unique" and beautiful, separate from its distinguishability and popularity. Credit to where credit is due.
Which fierce did you get? The reformulated? Do you mean fierce is weak compared to legend edp? I have legend edp, olddd fierce store spray that has lost its luster, fierce body spray that has basically no smell at all, fierce authentic night which I like but it's quite different, and Percival which might be my favorite of the bunch but still interested in finding an OG Fierce or Fierce Intense for comparison.
These channel is so underrated we only wear clogne for girls opinons. I just got into fragrences I used to wear cheap colonge then stopped for years. I was between these 3 I bought legend and its good but not like fierce was back in the day its not as strong and not as light IMO. Legend doesnt smell good on my skin either I wear it on my clothes. Hey Eric, Jeff here. I’ve actually not worn this bottle of fierce as it’s Luke’s and he’s been a heavy user of it for years. So I’ve let that scent be his 😅. But I can definitely smell it on him when he wears it. We don’t really care much about longevity unless it is horrible because we wear multiple fragrances a day, so it’s average in that 5-6 hr range. We spray our clothes too. Hope that helps. If you watch the most recent fierce video from a few weeks before this video, check out fierce night.

@@PlayfulVillain I don’t recall Luke mentioning it ever that it was awful on him. We usually joke about good smelling fragrances that are Gym only because they last an hour (polo sport fresh I’m looking at you). But definitely recommend trying Fierce Night in case you want a new variation of it.
I like to hear the ladies opinions on men's fragrance. Some guys don't want to hear what girls have to say. I remember there was a UA-cam reviewer call CoachRob619 and his saying was depending on what the ladies say determines what he sprays. I remember fragrance snobs totally not liking that he said that. Had legend for a few years, got rid of it recently just never really liked it too much. Got percival instead now and I really like it but I’ve still never tried fierce if you can believe that.

I think the best value is legend 100%. Luke wears Percival all the time. I tend to wear Legend EDP the most. And honestly if I were to recommend 2 it would be Legend EDP or Fierce Night.

Have you tried Fierce Intense? (Blue bottle). I've heard it's strong and just like the original Fierce formulation but not sure if it's worth picking up for $50-70 for a damaged bottle.

I think Fierce can be interpreted negatively if you are over 25/30 and the woman recognizes it as smelling like the Abercrombie store they may judge or look at it negatively. That's why I now wear Percival. I see it as a more mature version.

Fierce is a smoother scent from The start but percival is much stronger and longer lasting and can be overwhelming when first sprayed. One of the problems of testing fragrances is that the drydown varies over time depending on concentration. The real advantage of Percival won’t show until after a few hours later, and that can be taken into consideration when choosing a fragrance. When spraying for work I’ve gotten compliments on the afternoon for Percival but never for fierce.
I don't find any similarity between A& F Fierce and Montblanc Legend...the closest fragrance to Fierce is Azzaro Sport (The old version with the red plastic cap)

Yeah I bought legend EDP after getting rid of legend EDT and I like it much better. It's a lot smoother and more complex. I'd say it smells more "mature". Legend can be overpowering when you first spray it, but it doesn't stay like that. After it dries down for a few minutes, it smoothes out and makes kind of a scent bubble around you. It has good projection and sillage for about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs, I find it a little better than EDT.

Smelling any cologne off of a piece of paper isn't going to do the scent any justice....especially right after it's been sprayed out of the bottle. Therefore, these "reviews" are essentially pointless. Colognes mix differently with different people's body chemistry. Would think you'd know this, but all your videos seem to be basing the scents off of how they smell off of paper
Fun fact. Roja dove and quite a few other big perfumers test off paper. These aren’t reviews they are compliment tests. Paper allows for the most neutral version of the scent. If your curious about Roja he did a post on his Instagram a few months back on why he does it. But there is a reason so many perfumers have headshots with tester strips on their hands. Percival is way better. Not a fan of the brand, but its miles better than the other two. I really think you guys should let them smell them without telling them what fragrance or brand it is. If you told the first girl that the drydown of percival was fierce, then the reaction would be completely different.
This is just how they though of them in this compliment test. Fierce has been one of the most loved dna by women for like 2 decades now. They just liked it better than Percival in this one. Everyone’s order was slightly different.

Percival come off a bit classier/more mature. I wouldn't wear Fierce to work. I would worry someone may recognize the scent (I'm in my 30's).

Legend can be overpowering when you first spray it, but it doesn't stay like that. After it dries down for a few minutes, it smoothes out and makes kind of a scent bubble around you. It has good projection and sillage for about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs, I find it a little better than EDT.
You shouldn't let them know what they are smelling.

There is coffee inbetween every fragrance. We edit that out.
Its fairly pointless to do a reaction with three scents unless its a blind test.
These are compliment tests. They all clearly give their opinions on all of them with a variety of different thoughts.

Smelling any cologne off of a piece of paper isn't going to do the scent any justice....especially right after it's been sprayed out of the bottle. Therefore, these "reviews" are essentially pointless. Colognes mix differently with different people's body chemistry. Would think you'd know this, but all your videos seem to be basing the scents off of how they smell off of paper
Fun fact. Roja dove and quite a few other big perfumers test off paper. These aren’t reviews they are compliment tests. Paper allows for the most neutral version of the scent. If your curious about Roja he did a post on his Instagram a few months back on why he does it. But there is a reason so many perfumers have headshots with tester strips on their hands. Percival is way better. Not a fan of the brand, but its miles better than the other two.
I really think you guys should let them smell them without telling them what fragrance or brand it is.
If you told the first girl that the drydown of percival was fierce, then the reaction would be completely different.
This is just how they though of them in this compliment test. Fierce has been one of the most loved dna by women for like 2 decades now. They just liked it better than Percival in this one. Everyone’s order was slightly different.
