I hate when companies plaster their name on their products. A nice small embroidered name plate on the front top pocket woulda been great instead of their name plastered across the back.
Doesn't bother me, another company I work with called mascot are the opposite, I had to tell them to brand their gear fory videos

Mine seems nice and waterproof so far, just in case I always have some NikWax waterproofer on had for treatment which I don’t mind. I’d never expect anything to be totally waterproof just forever, I’ve never seen anything that was except an old school rubber coat, but those are horrible….but yea it’s a really nice jacket I think.
Agreed , nothing is completely waterproof forever , there's pros and cons for every jacket

this are made in china as well.....and I've had my chinese one since before their was a Baerskin company...so the chinese ones can't be a knock off of this.

Not as warm but it's still warm, but it's a different type of jacket

I really wanted this jacket to be a great rain jacket. Far from it. The outside soaks up water like a sponge. Then it wicks up into the lining. After a time in the rain, the jacket ends up weighting an extra half pound. Takes a long time to dry out. The jacket is warm,and has a lot of pockets. Its not totally bad,just not a good rain jacket.
I've yet to test it in heavy rain , mine still beads off , but I would class it as a full on rain jacket

So far it's ok, I have a big head though , a wee bit more adjusting would be better

They have a fair few different coats and trousers , I'll be testing some of their stuff over the next few months

First wear of my Baerskin softshell jacket, I can confirm that it is NOT waterproof, heavy rain this morning on the dog walk and it has leaked on shoulders and where sleeves bend on elbows....bit disappointed....😒

@@RedBranchBushcraft I was out for about 30 minutes of which 10 - 15 mins was heavy rain, the rest of the time average rain.
It 100% not waterproof. I've tried and tested it..I'm pissed. Oh I'm Ex military 19years. So I know my gear. Don't buy..waste of money..stick to Goretex. Bearskin sucks.
