I came for the review of the Baerskin Waterproof Hoody... However, I noticed the background. Are you camping out in an abandond house? Shag carpet litterally from the 1970's. A bar that's more barren than a desert. No pictures hanging. No Furniture. I'm thinking this product with your review might be on the sketchy side. Something is screaming "house squatter". I hope I'm wrong but I'm now going to hold off on pulling the trigger to buy this product. 🤔🤔
How can you even have a waterproof softshell? The whole point in a softshell is that it has no waterproof membrane so that it's extremely breathable. The downside is that they're not properly waterproof, just water resistant, courtesy of the DWR. Either this thing has a membrane (so it's not a softshell) or it doesn't (so it's not waterproof). The only design I'm aware of that DOES manage a waterproof softshell is Paramo but then they use a unique system of special fabrics soaked in NikWax, which requires regular renewal and even those can lose their waterproofness in some conditions.
I really like this jacket. I just think it could be better without the arm pockets. Pit zips are great just no arm zipper pockets. Maybe even one less velcro arm patch. Its just too much. But overall great jacket!
Let me share my opinon on it, as they wanted to run the ad before your video anyhow. They can take a 3 minute 18 second youtube ad and shove it. they have repeated the name enough now that I recall it and have locked in to avoid their products as anyone advertising that hard didn't spend the money on R&D.
Baerskin has reduced the price of all its products because buyers understand that a rain jacket needs pit zips, which none of its jackets have. They are scrambling to offload everything before crashing.

Just got the jacket and I’ll say it’s not waterproof but no doubt it’s water resistant. So far so good, but I will say it can be better. For $140 it worth the money. 🤷♂️
Is anyone else being bombarded with these ads? I mean I will never buy this product but every single break is dominated and I have complained about it. Solution, give me more of the same! This advertising campaign borders on bullying and if it continues I will report UA-cam to all known bodies. It's so invasive that I might look for a similar service instead.

I don’t get people saying they got ‘scammed’ I’ve had fleece and waterproof jackets worn it all day in rain wet weather and works great to me.

When you order from Baerskin, you have to wait a month to get it from China.
