    In this video I'll review the Apgar campground in glacier National Park.
    In the fall of 2022 Joelle and I had the opportunity to stay at the Apgar campground in Glacier National Park. We really enjoyed the stay in the park and in fact would have liked to stay longer. We visited at the perfect time in mid October, just before the end of the season in Glacier.
    We found the campsites spacious, well thought out and plentiful.
    The bathrooms were very clean and there was plenty of trash pick up around the park.
    This part sits on the southern portion of Lake McDonald which is an easy walk from the campground. Being close to many small camp stores we never felt like we would have to struggle to find the basic necessities in Glacier National Park while camping there.
    We spent some enjoyable days in Glacier visiting Lake McDonald, Going to the Sun Road as well as Bowman Lake just to name a few. As a photographer, this park is spectacular and I recommend highly if you are fortunate enough to head to this gem, you plan to stay a few days in Apgar campground.
    Hey there, would you please consider helping Joelle and I fund our Road Life adventures and our channel through the purchase of any number of our pieces of art?
    My wife and I stayed in loop a which closes in early October. I'll give a thorough review of the camp site itself as well as the entire campground and campground and the entire setup.
    We enjoyed a number of days at the Apgar campground part of the Apgar village in glacier National Park while touring lake McDonald, Logan pass, 2 medicine, and other trails throughout the park..

      Thanks for watching. Enjoy your time. June is the perfect time to visit. Should be a lot of wildflowers beginning to come into bloom at lower elevations!

    Very nice video. Might I suggest a dish garden for the picknick table. Keep up the good work.

    When Ryan and I were there the temperature at night was around 32 to 35 degrees.... To cold for me so we stayed at a super 8 on the west side of the park..... Even though we had the tent pop up camper with us... Wasn't prepared for the very cold nights.... Burrrrr!!!

    Our family camped there back in 1978. It was beautiful then and still looks beautiful today. We’re planning a trip with friends do they do reservations?

      I looked at recreation.gov and it does look as if they do. Yes.

    Do you know if I will still need to purchase a daily vehicle pass if I am already the 2nd vehicle on my daughter's camp reservation?

    do you need a Going to the Sun vehicle reservation if you land a spot at this campsite?

    • @livingwithrob
      @livingwithrob  Рік тому

      I'm not sure. I was there late September, just 2 days before it closed. Going to the Sun permits we're not required while I was there...the park was pretty empty.

    This is probably a long shot to get a reply, but does anyone know if the two tents allowed per site both have to be set up on the 10x10 tent pad or is the pad optional? We’re trying to figure out what size tents we can get away with using without causing an issue but I’m unable to find any information on the rules for setting up the two tents

    • @livingwithrob
      @livingwithrob  Рік тому

      Hey Tyler. I believe those pads are a luxury for your comfort. I'm willing to state/bet there's no such limit as long as you maintain the campsite technical boundaries.

      @@livingwithrob I appreciate the quick response, I’ve been seeing the park has alot of new regulations this year to keep up with the number of visitors and I was afraid we’d overlook something small like having tents the incorrect size or something and it causing a problem with the trip. Thanks again

      The particular rest room that I was in while there did not have a shower. They were very clean and well kept, but no shower. I am pretty sure there wasn't one available within the campground. Thank you for watching.

    Is it true apgar doesn’t take reservations and is first come first serve?

    • @livingwithrob
      @livingwithrob  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Alisyn. From what I understand, off season is first come first serve. We were there early Oct. Off season started Oct 5 and ends, I believe, in June.

      Hey Mallory. I am pretty sure it was site number 30. It was in the A Loop, all the way around the circle...coming back to the exit of the A Loop about 8 or 10 sites from the exit of A Loop.
      I hope that helps. Email me personally if you have any more questions. rob@raphotog.com
