I have to be honest you sound like a miserable person that is just butt hurt that you didn’t get your drone replaced. after dealing with DJI customer service myself which they have been excellent at what they do and very persistent. I think you’re just somebody out there trying to put their name in the mud… I also think there’s something you didn’t tell us here and you’re leaving stuff out

Lippert has pulled there video on slide lubricant. The newer slides are not on metal on metal. So they claim lubricants now damage a slide.

I think its very silly to fly a drone out of your line of sight and expect miracles.. Just because they market tham as being able to fly that far away, I think a little bit of horse sense is required, which you clearly dont have.

6 Months of flight and you never did any maintaince on the Mini? The DJI Mini has screws holding the props, the screws have blue locktite and are hard to remove, if a prop fell off it must have been damaged, pre-flight should have caught it. Eagle attacks your drone? An Air 2S can out fly an Eagle, your flying with a Part 107 certificate, you understand VLOS which means you can see the Eagle coming, why did you wait for it to attack your drone? Why were you hovering over water when you could see the approaching Eagle? Out of the warranty period and you still called DJI? WOW.

It looks like there was already an air gap underneath the furnace access panel that was open to the space that the furnace was installed so it should’ve drawn air from there already correct? Maybe I couldn’t see it all so I could be wrong. At any rate, the return being farther away should at least help circulate and provide some more heat exchange. Hopefully this helped! My girlfriend crashed her mini drone into the side of the building. They replaced it under the DJI refresh immediately. It was quick. It was Expedia, when my DGI refresh expired on my air two I realize I could not renew it so I bought State Farm Insurance for both my air two and my air 2S and her mini for $114 I crashed a year and a half later I had paid the $114 twice you know per year for three drones and they sent me a check the day I crashed it and I crashed it in the ocean a simple phone call and they sent me a check and I bought drone .. I love DJI products, but I think the policy of not having the drone in hand is a problem and all equipment malfunctions occasionally but instead of buying the DJ chair refresh, I would talk to your insurance company they’ll give you insurance on one drone for under $100 a year and it’s full replacement

After having gotten different info, I researched the video you linked. LIppert states that was done in 2014 and it was to fix a certain problem with certain units. They now have a video stating definite no. The newer models have composite gears. Which I do know that certain composites lubes cause more friction rather than less. Thank you for the video, and if I have problems or noise I will go with the lube. But just wanted to share what I discovered

You can purchase a 3rd party insurance policy like State Farm which is what I use and if you lose the Drone they send you a check no questions asked. Sky watch is another company that offers excellent service and coverage. Also, the RC is notorious for losing signal with drones especially the Air2s. If you can buy the RC Pro used, do it because it’s a solid remote with a rock solid signal. As far as birds, if they attack you fly up then away because it’s harder for them to ascend than to descend 👍🏽

Been contemplating upgrading from a pop-up to a hard sided trailer and the 2108 FLX is on our short list. Largely due to the boondock amenities in a lightweight package which our Sequoia can tow. However, all the negative reviews I am seeing on this brand is highly concerning. We are looking at 2024 models, is there any chance many of the issues I'm seeing in the 2021, 2022 models may have been addressed?

Left here in 2018 and never looked back. 6 years later, and on the other side of the world I'm sitting at my computer feeling nostalgic. I miss it

Well it looks like Lippert removed that video and now state lubrication is NOT required. Maybe you can do a video on how you lubricate your slides, Please?

Thank you so much for this information! I have another slide where the gearbox gear stripped, oh it is a plastic gear (WHY use plastic?). I ran across this video and decided to watch because 2 of my slides are the same type and I have not lubed them. We purchased new about 3 years ago. You bet, I have some of that lube on the way and off to watch the Lippert video! Thank again! (Yes, I smashed the like and Subscribe buttons)

I just went to Lippert website, and in the FAQ section, it specifically states NOT to lubricate the Schwintec slides. Newer systems are composite and not metal to metal. I am still trying to figure out, however, when they changed these components….

Not telling consumers how to properly maintain their product (Schwintec) is VERY UNETHICAL. They should be trusted about as much as a used car dealer.

We have a Micro Minnie. I like the idea, but I don't like the new holes. Product life times are very short now. If they ever need to be replaced, I think there will be new holes to cover up. We are attempting a shade approach.

If your flying for a business you can write off drone purchases as business equipment? as well and mileage and so on.

Thanks for your opinion. I found many dealers, not just Winnebago, cannot answer simple questions about the electrical or slide outs.
