i was born on Flathead Lake. You were in my old backyard. One of those tall peaks may have been Triple Divide Peak. Water flowing off the north side empties into Hudson Bay Canada. Water flowing off the east side goes down the Mississippi and into the Gulf of Mexico. Water flowing down the west side goes into the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean. Only place in North America that it happens . Thank you for your service.
Awesome video! You guys do a great job! Having your motorcycle works out great! You are sure living your best life! How wonderful! I will live through you. My husband doesn’t like camping or RV’ing.....thanks!
Flathead lake is the larger fresh water lake on this side of the Mississippi, growing up in Kalispell, I loved going to glaicer ( hell the high school I went to is glacier high)and white water rafting the Flathead (specifically the middle fork)
Hi folks, loved the video. I have been to Glacier 15 times and think of it as my favorite place of all. I'm glad you had a good trip and your puppy is too cute for words!
Loved the bear discussion from this video. I was riding with a friend on the Skyline Drive in late May/June. We saw at least 4 bears during this trip. One became angry as we passed and stood up along the side of the road. Thank you guys for posting all of your adventures.
Loved that video! Took a trip there about 15 years ago and watching your video brought back some fond memories. Seeing photos or watching video of Glacier does not fully capture the immensity of that place when you are there in person. We need to go back.
What a beautiful ride and location. That's exactly why my wife and I want to do the full time RV life. Back in the early 2000's when I was posted to and living on Canadian Forces Base Petawawa in the private married quarters (PMQs) I came home from work one day and saw tire tracks in my backyard. Long story short, it turns out that the MPs had chased a black bear through the backyards and then between my house and the neighbour. Bears were common in that area and in fact bear traps were placed throughout the PMQs. You just learned to live with them and all the wildlife in the area. Don't worry Tara, Chad's got way more meat on his bones. The bears would go for him first, lol! Here's a hint: you just have to run faster than him!! :)
I am so glad I found your channel, being able to go back into your library and watch positive media in the face of all the negative Covid-19 media, this is just what I need!!! THANK YOU.
Great video, we can't wait to take our kids to Glacier national park someday. My all-time favorite ride is from Lewiston ID to Missoula MT. It's 218 miles and takes around 4-5 hours! So many amazing curves and views of the Clearwater river. This is also the route the Lewis and Clark expedition took. There's a road sign on the Montana side as you enter Idaho on highway 12 that shows curves ahead (the snake sign) and below it says for the next +99 miles. Wife grabbed a picture of me in front of it with all my riding gear on and a big thumbs up. We've done this ride on multiple motorcycles over the years, it will never get old. We're looking forward to part two of Glacier national park!
Bears are actually far down on the list of things that will hurt you out in the wilderness. We camp/road trip northern BC, Yukon, Northwest Territories extensively as it is our back yard. Over the decades we have seen many, many bears, often double digit counts in a day but have never been attacked either camping in our Teardrop or hiking. Except for grizzly bears on which not much works, we find an air horn is faster to deploy and more effective than spray. Another nice and well shot vid, thanks.
Hubby and I have ridden some amazing roads in our 10+ years together, and LOVED that feeling when the curve you are slicing opens up to a breathtaking view. As we prepare to go toy-hauling full time, I’ve been worrying that once we are able to visit 100s of national parks, we will start taking the views for granted. It was great to see how much you guys enjoyed Glacier. You don’t seem to have lost the ability to be amazed by the beauty.
We'll admit that getting to ride all over the country in placed like this certainly makes riding in Florida pretty boring... Still love the keys and some beach rides though....👍🏼
Thank you for your service, your sacrifice is appreciated. My father, a Vietnam Veteran, is a member of CVMA in Arizona! He loves it....thanks for the videos.
Ben Handley my Dad was a Marine one of the few that went into Korea and lived to never tell the tale. He’s gone now and after his death I found out a few things but honestly he never talked about it.
Awesome video! We loved Glacier! I did drive my Ram 2500 through the park and my wife was nervous all the way through going east, but west wasn’t as bad because you’re mostly not on the edge of the steep drop-offs. Safe travels!
Chad and Tara, I have been watching your videos for a few months now. Love the Motorcycle rides, since I ride myself. But what I really want to say is that the videography and editing is some of the best on UA-cam. From the scene changes to the music choices it is absolutely top notch. I am an amateur editor myself, so I am well aware of the time and effort it takes to create this content. . Thanks to both of you from a loyal viewer!
Thank you for giving a great motorcycle ride to a trucker dealing with a 40° heat wave in Nebraska. Can't wait to get into the mountains for a ride (mine are the blue ridge of Virginia). Thanks again, safe travels.
Logan Pass, spectacular. Once again, great job on the video and no one gives as much useful info as you guys. The motorcycle was the only way to make that ride. The sights, smells and feel of the air you can only get on a bike. Thanks Me
Hey, you two are great, we've been fans for a couple of years. Thanks for all the videos and help with your tips and places to go. Mark and PJ Chicago.
Tara ! I’m a very nervous passenger and you give me hope I can do this too !! Lol. We are buying a classA tomorrow and I’m so excited. Thanks for all you and Chad do to share your experience and expertise!!
Awesome episode! I can’t wait to show my wife. Your photography, narration and editing just gets better and better. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures in Glacier National Park. I can’t wait for part 2.
Thank you for your service. I live in Coeur d Alene Idaho and ride to Glacier every year as soon as the snow melts and the road opens its amazing. Thank you for posting. As a side note, there’s motorcycle parking at Logan pass please don’t take up a vehicle parking spot as they are extremely limited.
I know someone's probably told you this before, but I didn't read all 357 comments. The animals with the big horns are big horn sheep and the ones with the little horns are mountain goats. I was there about 50 years ago so I really need to go back. Whenever this Covid-19 stuff is over the missus and I plan on selling the house and buying an RV and going full time. It was supposed to be this year but the virus killed that idea. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
Thanks for all the vids you do. I have about 5 you tubers we watch and you’re one of them. We are new to camping and you give a great perspective on your travels and rv install. Love them... enjoy your travel and keep the vids coming.... Happy travels
love your music and pauses for road signs and wildlife. makes you unique. your outtakes are funny! can't wait for part 2! hoping to make it there this year. we did Niagara last fall and stayed at Four Mile Creek SP in NY. the first night we could hear the waves crashing on the shore all night :) Don't miss Watkins Glen if you're doing NY
Absolutely fabulous video!!! Deserved far more than 1 Like. The scenery, the music, the narration and the humor were super. You guys knocked it out of the park (pun intended) on this one. Can't wait to see Glacier NP. Thanks a million for sharing your experiences.
I love to travel. You guys make great videos and I really enjoy them. Stunning scenery and you're right, it was a freaking awesome bike ride! Stay safe!
Love the outtakes! You two are a hilarious mess...LOL! Love your vids and look forward to part 2. We are adding Glacier to our RV list for this summer either on our way to or returning from the Pacific Northwest.
We hiked the garden wall trail. Definitely felt like a flat lander tourist. The mountain goat’s could see you coming and run up above the trail. When you walked underneath, they would roll rocks off the cliff and try to hit you. It’s probably the most exciting game they play. You can hang out in one of the wider spots to see the action. Some things you only see if you slow down and observe
We were there in late August 2019! Super amazing! I carried bear bells and spray everywhere we went!! Got on hubby nerves but I may have saved our lives! lol We saw several bear and it was during "feeding frenzy" time! Can't wait to see your next one. We stayed in the East side in st Mary's KOA. Nice park!
Glad to have you back again!! Thank you for this video. It is interesting that Glacier National Park is shared with Canada. It is great that you had your motorcycle with you because the Going To The Sun Road is not meant for a Dually. It is barely wide enough for largish SUVs. It would have taken all the fun out of it if you were to try to run your tow vehicle up that road.
Hey, I just want to thank you guys for doing what you do. Had a realllly long day at work today, turned to UA-cam and y'all were the first video in the que, and I'm like, yes, that is exactly what I need. So again thank you.
The Shoshone Falls when you saw them were not putting much water out, due to heavy irrigation upstream, pulling water for the fields. We saw it in early spring before irrigation started and it was spectacular. Too bad you missed it!!!
The reason that there was so little water at Shoshone Falls is a lot of the water is used for crop irrigation upstream of the falls. When the irrigation season ends, the falls are amazing.
You're videos are amazing, the way you present them and the way you shoot them is great. You guys are my favorite couple to follow, maybe someday we will be able to meet up somehow. Keep em coming, and over course the outtakes are the BEST!!!!
Thanks you both of you. We loved this video so much and always watch it to the end as you are making us laugh. We love your simplicity, You always giving us very good tips and advises. As we are not full time and planning to travel in the US when I will retire, we are saving your video in our bucket list to remember how to and what to buy for our rig. My husband is kind of don't get to close to me but if you do a meet up close to us he would attended. Love you guys and Miss Daisy.
I remember going to glacier with my Dad on motorcycles and going up the going to the sun road it was so cool. Best way to see it is on a Motorcycle. This was probably 30 years ago. Great video.
Enjoyed your video on Idaho, Montana and Glacier park. It's such a beautiful part of the US. Glad you enjoyed Grangeville, Id. My husband was born and raised in the small town. We also were there over the 4th of July. Actually, my sister-in-law lives just above the campground you stayed at. We probably drove by you multiple times. The town is know for it's egg toss each morning of the 3 day celebration. This last year was a record breaking year with something like 2000+ eggs each morning. Glacier Park and the area around Flathead lake should be on everyone's bucket list. Safe travels!
I was there with my parents in the late 60's so about 50 years ago. I do not remember anything about it but some of the names of places. It looks like I need to play a trip up there sometime soon. Thanks for the video. Looking forward for part 2.
I retired after 29 years as a LEO in N. CA. I backpacked all over the west coast as a younger guy. I drove up and to GNP 5 years ago on vacation. Because of how in love I fell with all of MT and the fact I love the cold weather, I retired and moved here. You did a good job on your vid here! Just checked, $70 a night... I’ll leave my 2019 34’ Outdoors RV in storage and use my tent before I’d spend that at an RV park lol.
Just moved to Idaho and been subscribed to you guys for a while now. Going through Twin Falls tomorrow and always wanted to go to Flat Head lake. Thanks for the great videos.
Absotively beautimous! We didn't have time for Glacier when we were there, but we are going back first chance we get. We were in Boise for the CVMA nationals. Don't know how we missed your being patched in. Welcome to the circus. Looking forward to Jacksonville in June 2020. Babycakes is dead set on riding the bike to Jacksonville and down to Key West again. So we are taking Phoebee on another epic adventure.
We rode our Honda Goldwing from Ohio to California and back in 1989. We went thru Glacier and it was absolutely breathingtaking!!!! From 1999 to 2007 we were fulltime RVers. I really enjoy your videos. Thanks for all your hard work.
Congratulations Chad for being patched, and thank you for your service. Glacier is on the list and thanks to this video, it's moving closer to the top of that list. Love visiting Whitefish--we go every winter. Love your videos and spending time with you and Tara. Safe travels.
Glacier is my all time favorite beautiful spots! I have mixed feelings about telling others, for I fear it will become too crowded. Your video reminded me of how bad I want to go back. I did it on a Harley, and one of those "snow arches" collapsed and buried the road 15' deep. We were on the wrong side so we had to wait until they brought a front end loader from?? and shoveled the snow over the cliff until one lane was open. The park also makes it's own weather. You may get rained on at the pass while there's no clouds at the entrance. I marveled at how they built that road in the 20's?? The wall is a work of craftsmanship. Thanks!
@Allen S unfortunately it’s too late :^( It’s just going to get more and more packed from here on out. I’m local now and will only go near GNP in May/early June or September on.
@@ibMoose2u I went in August. The same year we went to Yellowstone (Aug) and absolutely HATED it. Too many people, boardwalks packed, parking lot fights, no wildlife. Glacier was stunning! I may try to go back in September when kids are in school.
Oh wow that is absolutely beautiful! Can’t wait till we start full time and get to go there. Those rides will be amazing! So glad to see a video from you guys, love them!
We were there in Sept. 2006 I think , we had to leave the truck out side the park and ride the Harley over Logan pass it was a nice day and over the top we got snowed on a little (none was sticking). The visitor center was closed for the season but the ride was stunning. Thanks for your service.
Great episode, y'all. Glad I sent you all those tips for Glacier (and you'd already been there.). Well, oops. Glacier is magnificent. It's also the one park I've run into bears every time I've been there, but this summer was the first time I had to pull out the bear spray. I think the bear got bored waiting on me, though and decided to wander off the trail. The Going-to-the-Sun Road surely is amazing, even more so when you consider it was built with manual labor during the Depression. That's an incredible feat of engineering. Awesome video. Fly Navy.
Not able to camp in Glacier NP waited to the last minute. Just a heads up found that you can purchase a Senior Lifetime National Park Pass for $82.00. Good for up to four people getting into the parks, with discounts on camping. Just bought mine.
Glacier was a favorite of ours. We went there in 1975 when I just got my pilot license (year after I got my drivers license). Yellowstone was also interesting but glacier didn’t smell bad and the mountains and beauty were great. Now that I am retired I would like to take my blushing bride there one day.
This made me so homesick! We lived in Columbia Falls and Kalispell for 11 years. (We're in Omaha now.)We miss it so much. Thanks for the visual feast! Can't wait to go back there.
I went there for the first time in September, and I still have dreams about it. I don’t think I can go a full year without going back, so right after Labor Day I’ll be there again :)
We lived in Montana for 30 years. Glacier is the best! It's not called the Crown Jewel of the North American Continent without good reason. We love Glacier and miss it so much! We have been able to get back to Big Sky Country each year since we left in 2018 for a military assignment. I have learned a lot from your episodes and appreciate the info you share. We've been a full time RV family a little over 4 years now. It's the best way to travel. Keep up the great videos. There's a cheaper campground just outside of West Glacier that offers discounts for military folks. Maybe we'll see you somewhere out on the road. Merry Christmas!
What a fantastic video. Great job on the editing and reporting. I just purchased a 40+ foot car hauler/living quarters trailer and plan to do some traveling. Can't go full time just yet but my Luciell is my Factory 5 Mk4 Roadster (1965 Cobra Replica) and I can't wait to get it into the mountains... Thank you so much for all of your videos. Hope to see you on the road some day. Thank's for your service Chad. I'm retired USAF myself. Enjoy the roads and keep Changing Lanes....
Chad & Tara my wife and I have been following you for a while. I want you to know that this video inspired me to buy a Can-Am Spyder RT LTD SE6. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Hope to see you on the road someday.
My husband and I and sister and brother inlaw took our bikes out to Glacier Park back in 1988. It was the trip of a lifetime. Going up Going To Road on a motorcycle was amazing!
We were there in 2018 as well! It was our first big trip from MN in our new (to us) '08 Jayco Eagle Super Lite 31.5 BHDS. We stayed at Emory Bay Campground outside of Martin City and had a fantastic time! We were there before the fires started in August so it was gorgeous and nothing was closed! The trails out of Logan Pass were closed when we were there because of grizzly activity. :-( One of the highlights was the huckleberry cobbler that we had for breakfast. Did some rafting too! I love Glacier and encourage everyone to go there. If you're looking for another stop I'd highly recommend Medora North Dakota and the Pitchfork Steak Fondue! That was our outbound stop!
Thanks for the tour of Glacier we rode Going To The Sun Road on bicycles in 2002. That was the best vacation ever now we are a little older and have a new RV we will be back again very soon.
Absolutely gorgeous, gorgeous area and beautifully done. Thank you for your service.
i was born on Flathead Lake. You were in my old backyard. One of those tall peaks may have been Triple Divide Peak. Water flowing off the north side empties into Hudson Bay Canada. Loved that video! Took a trip there about 15 years ago and watching your video brought back some fond memories. Seeing photos or watching video of Glacier does not fully capture the immensity of that place when you are there in person. We need to go back.

Ok ... Just like the Maine videos ... I had to WATCH it AGAIN .... FANTASTIC scenery ... Plus Lucille got a GOOD workout too !!! AWESOME
I absolutely agree, Glacier is the most beautiful park in the USA !!!!
What a fantastic presentation! I loved every minute of it. Great job, guys. The bike was the way to see and do all of that.
Love the outtakes! You two are a hilarious mess...LOL! Love your vids and look forward to part 2. We are adding Glacier to our RV list for this summer either on our way to or returning from the Pacific Northwest.

I’ve been following you guys awhile now. Love your videos! I’ve lived in Twin Falls all my life. Glad you got to see Shoshone Falls!
Awesome video! Love Glacier. Try to visit once a year usually. Such an awesome place with so much to do. Thanks for sharing.
We have to check out your side of the park next time! 😊
WOW! I have to see this for myself! Thank you for sharing!
I just found your channel yesterday. Love the video quality and content, very inspirational and thank you Chad for your service!
Welcome to our channel! 😊
Have been there, so beautiful. Did you notice the size of the SHUTTLE, much larger than my class c at 26ft. Thanks for the memories! 👍💕🙋🏼♀️
The larger shuttles come from the St. Mary side of Logan Pass. They can only go up as far as Avalanche on the Apgar side.
@Allen S Absolutely why I wait until then lol. Meanwhile, there’s so many places I can pull my trailer in this beautiful state and rarely see a human!
We haven't visited this one yet but it is on the list! (We RV full time) We are in the middle of Utah's "Mighty 5" now.
Glacier was a favorite of ours. We went there in 1975 when I just got my pilot license (year after I got my drivers license). Yellowstone was also interesting but glacier didn’t smell bad and the mountains and beauty were great. Now that I am retired I would like to take my blushing bride there one day.
Great what more can you say!!!! Thanks for sharing.
This park is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely adding it to my list!!
We also LOVED Glacier NP! We were there in July of 2019. It was amazing!! Great video! Thanks for sharing!
AMEN about the the water bottles, and any drink bottle! I do road clean up where we live and bottles are the major part of the garbage 😢
Thank you for your service also! 🇺🇸
I thought I had been everywhere. I missed Logan's Pass. WOW! I AM REWATCHING THIS VIDEO. Great Job.
Just love you guys...great video as always !!!💕🇨🇦
Chad & Tara my wife and I have been following you for a while. I want you to know that this video inspired me to buy a Can-Am Spyder RT LTD SE6. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Hope to see you on the road someday.
I can picture Chad showing up at the falls and demanding the gallons per minute... :-D
The twin falls are amazing in the spring.
You two are great, we are looking at different RV’s , as we have had A,C and tag along, so we have some thinking to. Thanks for all you do!
Bob&Joanne
My husband and I and sister and brother inlaw took our bikes out to Glacier Park back in 1988. It was the trip of a lifetime. Going up Going To Road on a motorcycle was amazing!
My husband and I were there on our honeymoon in July during the fires of 1988.
Couldn't help but notice your "Gremlin Bell" at about 26:28! Great video as always guys!
Wow!! Beautiful place guys thanks for sharing
One of the highlights was the huckleberry cobbler that we had for breakfast.
Holy cow! The down-hill part sounds fun at least.. 😀
