They should have communicated much better by asking each other those questions about their past relationships and etc during the time when they went on their adventure trip and before meeting the family, not after they got intimate with each other. Most men don't want that commitment. I'm not sure what the real issue is. Now as you can see they share a real connection. This isn't new love, or newly develop feelings. And he knew that they are more than friends. Once sex is involved the relationship is catalyzed to another level. And I'm sorry to say as a women our feelings are magnified. She was wrong. I'm not sticking up for her. And he was hurt which is why he made it clear to say "we friends" but obviously she did look at them as being just friends. Great episode. I will say this: THESE are the new generation of our Actors. They all have range and they really know how to act. Some of the ones we see forced in our faces in Hollywood now could really use a lesson or two from these actors. I EXPECT to see them ALL on the big screen in the years to come. That's why it's important to talk about these issues in the beginning before the sex! There have been so many other opportunities for them to ask questions without it blowing up like this. Open and honest communication from the start is more likely to lead to an open and honest relationship. I watched this episode with my hand holding up my jaw.. #teamtoosoon for the drama. I Love Black Love (Episode 1-5). I missed Charlie say,"it ain't like we together right?" Wow, Robin cut him to the white meat and he brought a gun a to a knife fight.
I'm happy to see that their relationship isn't perfect....now from the previous episodes I thought that they were "together". He brought her to meet his family and everything. But they slept together and suddenly it's definitive that they are "just friends?" Both parties were wrong in this episode. The delivery was incorrect on her part. If anything she should have asked if she could stay with charlie while her x came to town, or the x needs to sleep In a hotel. A bit more communication was needed between the both of them, before the sex. Either way these are the things that happen in real life. Hopefully they make up and move on to being happy again.
Ughh....why are these episodes NEVER long enough. I can't get enough. I find myself having to re-watch them 2-3 times because they're so good and the wait is soo long until next episode. Please come on June 26th... I need to breath again! GREAT WORK with the CONFLICT. Conflict is healthy for a relationship. This is what I'm loving about the show- the realism. This actually happens in real life. I have been on both sides of this, still being in love with an ex and being like "well it's not like we're together right?" and pissed as hell. Love it! So glad i found this even if it was just today.
Stop calling men that don't Express themselves little boys considering most are raised to suppress their emotions and "man up". They don't even have emotional support from their homies because they're typically raised the same. Just raise the next generation to not only communicate but know and understand how they feel.
Jahmeela is doing such a good job w/ the writing! I know the series is supposed to be inspired by 'Love Jones' but that movie was great actors w/ *okay* writing. I really can't wait to see what other projects she is working on.

This is what I'm loving about the show- the realism. This actually happens in real life. I have been on both sides of this, still being in love with an ex and being like "well it's not like we're together right?" and pissed as hell. Love it! So glad i found this even if it was just today.

Stop calling men that don't Express themselves little boys considering most are raised to suppress their emotions and "man up". They don't even have emotional support from their homies because they're typically raised the same. Just raise the next generation to not only communicate but know and understand how they feel.

Jahmeela is doing such a good job w/ the writing! I know the series is supposed to be inspired by 'Love Jones' but that movie was great actors w/ *okay* writing. I really can't wait to see what other projects she is working on.
It's interesting that people are saying this is so realistic. I think it's because people are so accustomed to relationships that are rushed. But this girl didn't give it up quickly and the dude was willing to be patient.
So they focused on that lovey dubbey stuff and I think it was realistic. Not every relationship is dysfunctional right off the bat.
And I think their chemistry is on point.
