The STL files for the steering wheel can now be purchased from the link below: www.etsy.com/listing/1384248930/mercedes-f1-steering-wheel-with-quick
Hello, I really liked your project and was excited to put it into practice, but the link with the STL files is not working. Could you give me another link so I can download the files? Thank you very much in advance and congratulations on the project, it was excellent.
Super smart to use a keyboard PCB, instead of just a controller PCB, never thought about that
Thank you!!
Using the keyboard pcb is genius
Thank you for the support!
Wow, more attention needs to be brought to this, excellent work!
Thank you!
You are so underated and i have been trying to find a good and simple diy f1 wheel and your design i have never seen before(the num pad)
Thank you!!
That's a lot of work bud! Good job!
Good stuff man i appreciate that you do all this work and give it out for free. Don’t forget to also do videos on your printers, settings used, material and any other information you have related to 3d printing. Even an e brake would be a good idea on how you design it as well id be very interested. Thanks for your contribution to the community!
this convinced me to buy a 3d printer!!! ur a genius bro
That’s awesome! Thank you!
ok thank you so much i will wait then
Unfortunately I got a copyright claim for the background music used from 3:22 to 7:08 and all of the audio in that section (including the commentary) had to be muted . To fill in the space i just used the same song playing in the begining.
Sir do you sale your DIY wheel mods
Malaka wow!
pas mal
Thanks!
Simple and elegant approach with the numeric keypad.
With it being 3D printed, how does it hold up against the FFB forces?
Any change in the feeling of the wheel in the long term?
Are you planning on a v2 of the wheel, perhaps with a display?
Thank you! There’s no change in the force feedback because both the steering wheel and the quick release mechanism were designed in a way that minimised any relatively movement between them and the base!
I would love to make a V2 but I’m not sure how I could make the display communicate with/get data from ps4/ps5 games, but that is another project all on its own!
@@diyengineeringprojects8499 you vould always put a slot for your phone in there or put a percision sim engineering ddu in
Tem como vc disponibilizar o arquivo em STL pra impressao d3

hey I will email you in a bit
Hello, is there a way to use the g29 buttons attached to the ring as it comes by default but using this QR, since I have additional rings for this same one?
Perhaps there is a way but it would involve an extensive modification! Using a keyboard is the easiest and simplest way to interface!
is there any input delay or is it similar to any bluetooth device ?
There might be a slight delay, but it's so minimal that you won't notice it.
What brand is your keyboard? My steering wheel doesn't work because it doesn't have welded pushbuttons
Here's the link to the keyboard that i used.
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07T5K5SZ5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
in reality what I really wanted was the double shifter peddal files
I will make sure to include them in the zip file that I will share in my next video!!
@@diyengineeringprojects8499 thanks
Good stuff, can you use a ps4 controller motherboard for the same thing because you can’t use a keyboard in every game and I like to see more of your videos maybe a handbrake or something. Like the work you do
Thank you ! You could potentially use a ps4 controller however these controllers use a conductive membrane film with conductive membrane pads / buttons which are difficult to solder onto.
Can you make the file available in STL for d3 printing
Hi. I will upoad the STL files for this steering wheel on my online shop when it is ready, however I am planning to design a simpler steering wheel in one of my next videos which i will share for free download.

Wow this is awesome, hope you can share stl files
if you are interesting in purchasing the STL files for the steering wheel please email me at: diy.engineering.projects.channel@gmail.com
Hello!
I could get it the steering wheel files?
if you are interesting in purchasing the STL files for the steering wheel please email me at: diy.engineering.projects.channel@gmail.com
@DIY ENGINEERING PROJECTS. Is there any email that i can contacts you from?

Whats the diameter of the wheel?
Its around 240mm.
I can't understand the wireless part
I just connected the usb receiver of the keyboard to the ps4 and used the in game settings to map the buttons to different functions.
do the potentiometers work?
This steering wheel only has push buttons, which potentiometers are you referring to?
what filament is this?
PLA but you can use PETG or anything else you want.
Does it wobble?
Not at all!!
Would this work with xbox? (fanatec Csl dd specifically)
The quick release mechanism will need to be redesigned/modified to fit onto the fanatec wheel but I believe you should be able to use the numerical keyboard on an xbox (although I haven’t tried it)
@@diyengineeringprojects8499 thanks man
Dude you’re going to scrub your tires using that amount of steering 😭😭
Stl files ?
I haven't shared the STL files for the F1 steering wheel, but you can find the STL files for the quick release mechanism in the video link where I demonstrated how I made it.
How much does the wheel cost
Please look at the video description!
for ps4 ?
You can use it on a ps4, ps5 or a PC !
Please make this for me. I’ll pay
Eso es basura
