Ron: I suggest you check on the idea to wrap the exterior of this shelter with metal sheets welded watertight. In that matter you could fiil the space between the steel plackards with water to make te shelter resistant to neutron rafiation. Plus, after the effect of the neutron radiation passes, that water could be also use for cleaning or to feed the toilet tank.
Something like that could be a great addition to your bunker line.

You can have a dedicated bunker, but honestly having something that is multipurpose can be much better. I suspect the owners will use this a fair bit... And in a pinch it would not take much to make it ready to survive fallout.

i agree its a bit exciting but at the same time foreboding! We are headed for a Civil War in this country and not one Liberal should be left in power once its over! Most of them should be hanged for TREASON!Yet unless there is a civil war JUSTICE dosnt look at though it will ever be served up! If it dosnt start happening in the 1st year of Trumps 2nd term its never going to happen and it will be the 2nd PROMISE Trump maid that he broke! The 1st was protecting our 2A while considering gun control measures after mass shootings and then back peddling once he figured out it would cost him votes! So whats gonna happen once he dosnt have another election to worry about?Either way before or by 2024 we will be at war with our selves sadly i fear! :>/Wish i had the cash for one of these for 6 people!

    Couple questions please:
    1. Is the 50K price a "turn key" price. Meaning it includes excavation, slab to set shelter on, crane, etc., etc., etc...?
    2. If #1 is 'Yes', would you consider pricing this shelter at just the cost of building it?
Explanation of #2 - I can haul it myself. I can excavate myself. I can do flatwork to set shelter on. And I'm not a DIYer. I do excavation and concrete, licensed and insured, and I own a lowboy that I use to haul my own machines. I would of course want your people there to insure shelter is installed to standards that would keep any warranty in place. Thanks.

Sheet metal formed gun vault doors are defeated easily with sawsalls. You need hardened plate steel door. These formed doors only have hardened steel directly over the locking mechanism but can be accessed above or below the plate. I opened a Browning gun safe door easily with a sawsall after the electronic lock failed. All these large chromed locking bolts are for show since the lock itself is vulnerable.

A better option on getting these shelters in place is to make bolt together panels with a rubberized seal between them so you can use panel sections that fit on a normal flatbed trailer and can be lifted by an excavator. Why let everyone in the area know a shelter is going in when you can just ship a flat pack of parts on a normal truck and use common equipment to get it in place.

I still wonder just what happen and would any charges be made against the Idiots that made the Bunker that blew up killing 3 people. I ask because they had no problems talking about it on the news but now its all hush hush like who built it and will they be charged for the wrongful deaths of 3 people that believed their bunker was built right and safe .

You can do it if you're willing to do it yourself or pay to have it built into the house. The point of his business is making them ready to plug and play and shipping them to location.

I wouldn't use that crane company again. Their operators should know what their cranes are capable of, the shouldn't have even tried to lift that with that crane.

Maybe try explaining to the people watching why a 36,000 lbs rated crane couldn't lift a 21,000 lbs shelter.
