    This show was way ahead of its time. I binge watched it again in 2023❤️

      This is one of those scenes. The sci fi is great in this show, but it’s the people we care about.
      Every time I finish watching, I start over the next night. Why waste time with lesser shows?

      @@leeparsons-qu6yv I completely agree. I believe the key to great sci fi is that it makes us love the characters. And that definitely true of Fringe.

      @@BruceMagee and I always looked at fringe as a very character driven drama first and than a great Sci fi. Even the 2 main showrunners have said that

    Memories don't equal feelings. She's had another Olivia's Memories before but not the feelings attached to them. That right there was proof this was our Olivia

      I think other shows should take note about what made Olivia and Peter do believable. They communicated feelings, good and bad, to each other

      @@ryanabate1981 very true. Was very inspiring love story with them. And Anna torv and Josh Jackson had great chemistry that just made it shine! Wish more out there would take notice of this episode to me it was one of the all time great peter Olivia episodes a better human being. All the scenes with them! As in a short story about love as well plus what's to come in the rest of season 4

    • @ryanabate1981
      @ryanabate1981 Рік тому +4

      @lee parsons I remember watching the show and thinking too myself this is the first on screen relationship that I truly could see myself in. Not because they had this undying Hollywood love, but because they dealt with issues in a real way. Things that should have gotten in the way of their relationship actually got in the way. Hollywood always portrayed romance and love as something that overcomes every obstacle. But Fringe plays this right, real issues do hinder Olivia and Peter. What made their story work so well was not these huge impossible displays of love, but the fact that they did what real people do. They talked about what was stopping them.

    • @leeparsons1259
      @leeparsons1259 Рік тому +2

      That's very true everything you said and the fact they always found a way to work things out in a very good inspiring manner and to me also they were absolute soulmates was something I think a bunch of fans realized early on I guess it helps also that especially Olivia they were selfless characters her being humble and Peter becoming that person he was always meant to be and then bringing it out in each other as well

    • @ryanabate1981
      @ryanabate1981 Рік тому +5

      @lee parsons Exactly and even the soul mate part was played realistically. Not this unseen attraction that neither can fight. But a series of events that both Peter and Olivia go through together that bring them closer.

    Wow the look in his eyes. You can tell it's hurting him because it's making him remember what he lost. Also he's trying not to get his hopes up. Yet he wants it to be her so bad. It's so sad.

      Can you blame him, he wants to believe her but he also knows that he went thru similar situation before in which he couldn't figure out if it was her olivia or her doppleganger... Plus Olivia didn't blame him either because she knew what had happened to him before so she gave him space to figure it out and find if she was really the same

    • @ryanabate1981
      @ryanabate1981 Рік тому +1

      @P The Spidey Agreed, in my opinion is why she didn't try and reverse things. I think she knew enough to know she was the Olivia from the memories. She may not have known how, but she knew.

    The worst thing about the show was the makers didn’t show enough moments of Peter and Olive together. No matter how advance the technology is, it’s always the emotion that connects with the audience

      i felt the scenes they had in the show i loved! starting in season 2 all the way threw to season 5 this episode for starters a better human being has some of the best scenes with these 2 soulmates yes they could have shown more with them but i feel what we had i loved and was plenty! you are right about the emotion that connects with the viewers threw the characters!

    Very true. Was a full transformation back to are Olivia from season 1. 2 and 3. Her powers next to Peter really was the huge boost to her abilities not just the cortexifan even without that she still had her powers come threw next to Peter that and the link with the machine but the biggest thing was the power of love threw that that was a driving force to come back to who she was whole transformation back

    Another of many scenes where Anna's talent carries the scene. JoshJ is so bad. Watching this awesome show in hindsight, seems they scripted (or edited) touching scenes to keep JoshJ from talking n give beautiful AnnaT all the lines. Smart choice!

  • @sarasyoga2741
    @sarasyoga2741 4 роки тому +1

    Sure seems JoshJ's "Pacey" n "Peter" are the same person. JoshJ has no depth of character. Despite him, Fringe is an all-time favorite with an otherwise talented cast and crew.
