  • "Kyle Emile makes a compelling case as to why we're all intelligent and why we need to talk to strangers more than ever. Proving that just by holding a sign in the middle of a street, one can create intelligent conversations between people of different perspectives and break down social barriers.
    "
Recent college graduate Kyle Emile shares how he acted on idea, which turned into a movement with great social implications. Suggesting how a different understanding of intelligence will enhance our day-to-day conversations.

Big element here: speaking without fear. Another element: raising unpopular ideas or questions. In the current climate of alarm and reaction to anything perceived as "hate speech" and "micro-aggressions" our speech is rapidly being curtailed with fear of speaking plainly following closely behind.

This is so inspiring! I always sit with the same friends during lunch at my school and I've always wanted to just sit at a random table one day, but it's intimidating for me to decide one day to sit at another table, to get out of my comfort zone. I always say hi to people and just make shallow conversation, but this video has pushed me to talk to more people.

This speech is amazing and very successfully brings the audience into thinking about their own social habits, what they wanted to say and in through what method was the idea usually spread. Conversations with people who are different than you truly makes a person better intellectually, socially, and mentally! Great job!

This is one topic that I've always struggled with. It seems to get worse as I get older... maybe cause of social media but not quite sure. I've become a bit of a recluse cause of this whole deal but after watching your video, I feel inspired. I see hope after all. Thank you man.

Two days in a row! Thank you for letting your crazy idea out of the bag and starting a movement that people will actually show up for. Being inspired is one of my favorite ways to be, and connection is part of it. You create opportunities for people to connect with possibility. Inspired x 2!

Wow. Seriously, good on you. Break the barriers down and make people realise we aren’t the same and it’s not always ones fault if they been dealt a bad hand out of a set of cards. End of the day no matter who you are, we are all the same.
    Magic video, loved it

when life surrounds me with an inconceivably high number of opinions in the same place that seem like they are almost wrong "on purpose" I kind of interpret it as an opportunity god set up for me to introduce, listen, and hopefully sway them toward a side that could reduce the pain in their life or improve their opinion of the world. I have started taking those opportunities on each time they present themselves, and I feel better knowing I could at least inform people about the reverse side of an issue they seemed to not have any empathy towards or considered.

i know that having an online site for free ic is again diminishing the idea of not allowing social media to be the foundation of new relationships but still if such a site or app was there it would be really interesting to talk to people from all over the globe :)

Can you have an intelligent conversation about race or religion without censorship and disagreeing with socially accepted preconceptions?. Or we can only have intelligent conversations with those who agree with what we say only
