All things are relative. If it outperforms a bunch of other shoes, then yeah I'd say that it justifies its price.
For an elite running shoe yeah
Peg Turbo V1 still my favourite ever shoe. Old and beat up now but use it for sessions and I’m almost as quick in it as the vaporfly, and it feels so so good for me. Can’t wait to try streakfly!
How did you end up liking the Streakfly? Have you had a chance to test out Peg Turbo Next?
Owned a pair of Nike Zoomx way back when I was running track and field. They were great for speed workouts for real. Sometimes I would still use them for easy 3-6 mile runes because they looked so good and made you feel so light.
The limited release (making it impossible to get a pair) game that Nike plays with its (potential) customers, is tired and lame.

You guys just convinced me to get a pair. I loved my rebel v2, and since putting so many miles on them, they need to be replaced.
Waiting for a Between Two Shoes: StreakFly vs Takumi Sen 8
Love the Streakfly so far. It’s a really fun workout shoe. Would probably still reach for the Vaporfly for a race but this or the Takumi Sen for running club workout nights.
Streakfly wins on price every time though.
I just wore it for a 5K race and it was incredible... as you said, a lot of fun. It lacked the "pop" from a carbon plate, but it was still just as fast over the short distance.
@@C5FlyingSquad it’s like having a pogo stick attached to each foot. Less propulsive but super bouncy. It’s a fun shoe for sure. Hope the race went well.
@@andywright7425 It went better than I hoped for, and I felt that extra agility in the corners. It’s definitely my go-to 5k race shoe.

I really hope Nike don't change this shoe on it's next version. Maybe some additional midsole thickness would do but not a full carbon plate. The unique feature of this shoe is its flexibility and the soft ride. For people that have good foot strength this shoe is a joy to run in at any distance.
Funny how these "lower" stack shoes are recommended for less than marathon distances.......yet in every marathon I've done I've always seen at least a few people running in Vibrams. If you can run 26 miles in those, you can surely do it in these! Looks cool...I've just rarely had a Nike shoe that fits me properly. I gravitate towards wider shoes....

Pegasus Turbo 2 is still my favourite - would you say these are somewhat comparable, except a bit more 'racey'? Still keeping an eye out for a good replacement, but haven't found anything that tickles my fancy yet..

I want to love it but I don't really see the point of this shoe? How many serious runners are doing 5K's? Sounds like a fine, but unnecessary shoe.

I prefer the rebel v2 over the Streakfly but the Takumi Sen 8 is the better shoe. Just my opinion

I just got The mx zoom strickfly but when I pull the tonque it rips. Is it just factory detect ? I love The shoe Should just have it replace its 2023 now of july

Hey guys, how does the Nike Zoomx Streakfly compare to the Brooks Hyperion Tempo. Are they similar like the Rebel v2
If you woke up one day for your 5k or 10k race and your Vaporflys were missing, would the Streakfly be your next option or something else? Metaracer? Magicspeed? Takumi Sen? Other?
If I loved the turbo pegasus, what is the most similar in the nike line up now?

@@io-rj6sk The Zoom Streak LT3 was a 4 mm drop shoe. Many people think the LT3 was better than the last LT4 shoe.
It's a very lively shoe! So much fun to run in. I don't have the Nike ZoomX Streakfly so I can't compare it to that. But now I have the Adidas Takumi Sen 8. They are actually quite similar. But Zoom Streak LT was a 130 gram shoe!

I would have liked to have seen some of that "black rubber" under the heel for more durablity. The heel is going to wear fast....i'd assume.

What shoe would you recommend for running the 800 and the 1600? This will be my daughter’s second year of track. I have no knowledge of running shoes but I want to make sure she has a good pair of shoes. Thank you!
Gonna want track spikes, especially for the 800 but probably the mile too. Spikes are designed to give extra traction on the track and that is what basically everyone wears in HS track. Also, they are rather inexpensive which is nice
Should I get the tempo next % or these they are about the same price right now. Or should I get both and have one for racing and one for tempo runs. I’m gonna get the pegs for the daily trainer I just don’t know what to get for 5k/10k races
Tempo Next% are the best/fastest/comfortable shoes for me. Didn’t have enough time to test the Streakfly yet as I’m resting the ankle, but Tempo Next% are an incredible investment if they are on Sale. Streakfly seems nice so far, but seems less durable, what i heard.
I think this shoe would be great for a shorter/faster tempo runs

Thx for this. Was really hoping to hear about the fit. I overheard they fit a little big (1/2 size). Added, toe box etc... Wondering if this is more on the narrow side like the Vaporfly Next%, although it doesn't immediately look like it.
My forefoot is slightly on the wide side, but find the streakfly snug but very comfortable.
Streakfly has a lil bit more room on the arch compared to Vaporfly, but lil less compared to a pegasus.

Is the midsole in the Streekfly more stable than the Rebel V2? Is the outsole stiffer in the Streekfly? My metatarsal hurt when running on occasional stones on the road in the Rebel V2 because the outsole is so soft.

Ok, is this shoe going to come out in passable colors? Also, great video talk but I didn't hear anything about how much faster the shoes make you. We still going to get 4% + without the carbon plate? Did you guys do any time trials in these? Would be curious what you run a 5k in these compared to VF, as one of you mentioned.

If people want a daily trainer the ZF4 will last way longer than the streakfly. ZoomX isn’t made to last over like 100 miles. Maybe 200 if you’re an efficient runner. I think this will be a fantastic shoe for workouts and races. Got lucky enough to snag a pair.

A specialised 5/10k shoe slower than the marathon counterpart. FAIL. All serious runners already have the Vaporflys. Why would anyone buy this if they have the budget for the Vaporflys? The shoe reaks of "With current technology and governing body restrictions Nike cannot improve on the vps or alphas but simply need to release a new elite shoe."
