- today I show you how I make synthwave/synthpop with serum! I am not a teacher in any way and don't know anything about serum or real techniques to use. So this is just me showing you my project file and breaking it down!!

For someone that accidentally blew up on social media,I’m really happy all my fellas happened,that song gave us one of the funnies and more dedicated songwriters here , those aren’t just good tutorials,those are really enjoyable videos too

I'm a big fan of synthwave, and 80s style music. I have a bandlab account and ive experimented in the genre multiple times. With that being said, you did an absolutely amazing job 👌🔥

I don't know why is hard find one of them sounds played in public places, perhaps cuz is "personal", In my case, I usually listen when I'm alone or doing something at 4AM or in a long travel with the sunset setting/midnight.

fun tip for warbly pitches in serum: set the warp mode of your oscillator(s) to FM (noise), turn on the noise oscillator and set its volume to 0, turn the noise oscillator pitch way down (about 12%) and turn the FM (noise) knob up to about 30--35%
this makes the pitch go up and down erratically as per the noise sample rather than steadily up and down like an LFO does
i love these it got me to finally download fl studio to start messing around and try to follow along

May I suggest a plugin call "Deelay 2"! It's really good for synthwave! And just adding a very nice airy effect to some instruments! Its free too!!

Omg yes Synth wave is amazing, although i haven't attempted at synth wave myself, it always sounds awesome. The way i would explain synthwave is the boneworks soundtrack as the whole thing is mostly synthewave like (Museum, Ambient Travel ETC). But i really love the way this music sounds as it feels Like something Michael Wyckoff would do.

As a fellow synthwave producer, you should really check out more vintage recreations of analog synths for a more authentic sound. Serum is powerful, but there's something different with just using an analog synth/recreation. A good one I use is a recreation of the OB-XA, the OB-XD. It's free too. Tyrell is another one that's good.
