Ahh there he is, so good to see you back Matt and to be pumped again for the joy of what you love doing. I recognise some of the issues you have been experiencing. In my former professional role, whilst I am forever grateful for the opportunities it provided to me and the security I now have, there was frustration and that stemmed from no longer being the master of my own destiny and was having to respond to the matters that crossed into my life every day. That is now no longer the case and I can now call the shots once again and through my photography it really gives me freedom and gives me when I want it... the opportunity for isolation and that in turn gives me what you were achieving at the end, that is, the opportunity to enjoy the moment, enjoy the experience and to enjoy the moment in time. Always put yourself first Matt and do what you want to to do. The other stuff will spin off from it and thats what we get to enjoy from your work and to see what you see. That final image is the example. I will most likely never see that with my own eyes but I have at least experienced it through yours and as images go, it was pretty dammed good to see it

Currently going through this. Taking time off too often from photography and just find myself in analysis paralysis and perfectionism and it stops me from getting out there. I need to get over this and just get the hell out there.
I'm glad your back missed you, mate. I can identify with your comments. 5 years ago my marriage broke down I then put a value on time and adjusted my life and picked up a camera 30 years from the first time, then I got very ill and I had to take time and fight to get better your courses were part of my rehab I went to Slovenia late last year and took time to take some wonderful photographs, now I value time as the most important commodity it's the one thing humans can not control. Good onya.
Loving seeing another local shooter making it here in Oz. I have just moved back (finally) to the Fuji system and using my trusty XH1 with a XT2 for a backup body (I have been using 40mp Leica Sl2 and a 61MP Sigma FPL and I keep coming back to 24MP for what I do). I have the ubiquitous 18-55 and 55-200 zooms until I can afford something more like the 40-150, plus some Artisan M Mount glass with an adaptor (35mm f1.4, 50mm f0.95, 75mm f1.2 and 90mm f1.25). It will take a lot to convince me there is a better upgrade than the XH1 and purely resolution is not a reason for me. Anyway, awesome content and keep shooting.
