I’m so glad I found your channel. I have a GLA 2017 and my phone cord is damaged from the shutting the console on it while keeping my iPhone on my cell phone holder outside the console. You said to use a good phone cord like the one you mentioned on your video. Do you think that would be damaged or is it a stronger quality? In other words , would the apple cord be a lot sturdier? so when I shut the console, it doesn’t get damaged. Because I was having problems with it disconnecting off and on and I found it was the cord. And thank you very much for your input. 🙏🏼

Thanks for the comment. Over time most cables will get damaged if you keep doing what you’re doing. That will be wear and tear. You could give it ago and try a better cable and give it a test. Let me know if you do that please?
I would recommend just keeping the phone in the armrest. Then it will also stop the temptation to use your phone while driving.

Can you change the track on Apple CarPlay from the steering wheel?

Thanks for the comment. Annoyingly no. A workaround could be to press and hold the “person talking” button and then ask Siri to skip the song.

Hi, I have a 2014 A180, so no apple car play… but can I replace the module in the glove box to one that does? Thank you

Thank you for the comment. You cannot upgrade from a Mercedes-Benz dealer but there might be third party companies that can add Apple CarPlay.
