    Great video, however, there some clarifications to be made. Salt, hydrogen and disulfide are not amino acids. The disulfide is the bond formed between sulfur atoms in cysteine amino acids in the chain of amino acids. Disulfide bonds are to stablised the keratin from mechanical stress.
    Secondly, you can avoid having to perm the same hair over and over again. You can coat your permed hair in vaseline (petroleum) before putting the hair relaxer on your new growth. The vaseline will protect the your permed hair.
    I hope this helps

    Young man knows the truth 🤗 I am 62 and was TORTURED by hot combs growing up and the relaxer seemed so special until you got chemical burns on your neck ears or scalps just to have the sleek hair. I love the silkiness but the smell and hot dryer was no fun. I love how innovative young people are in using no relaxers to wear natural curls afros dreads and braids. • @Afroguitarist-ed2zt
      @Afroguitarist-ed2zt 3 роки тому +6

      You need to figure out a wash day routine. A day dedicated to where you wash your hair and style it. The style should last you at least a week so you don’t have to keep redoing it.
      I start by cleansing with shampoo. Then after that while my hair is soaking apply a Normal conditioner for 5min(optional). ** Then after rinsing conditioner apply your deep conditioner and let it sit for about 30mins then rinse(necessary)** wash day over.
      You can choose a style to do. Normally I just do two strand twists. Or medium braids.
      Watch a wash day routine video from someone with Afro hair and you will understand.

  • @MehkaWeldon

    Perms and relaxers are the something. The word perm is short for permanent. So if you get a relaxer your hair is permanently straight, if you get a texturizer your hair is permanently set to that loose wave or curl meaning S-curl and if you get a chemical curl set aka Jerry curl that hair that has been processed is permanently altered to that curl pattern and weaken and very must subject to damage and breakage. The hair in its natural state and properly cared for is in it best state for growth and length. Maintaining split end moisture maintenance help with hair growth and length retention.
