As a black guy who's only had long hair once in my life (dreads as a teenager) I'm trying to regrow my natural hair to a longer length. I'm pretty healthy and workout daily so the hydration and protein isn't an issue for me. My hair has been thinning in some spots since about 2 years ago which has discouraged me from growing it out and instead i have been keeping it low to hide the baldness. After doing a ton of research on hair products (especially those that are very good for natural black hair) I've been seeing some results. However if there's one fatal flaw that I do, it's that I shampoo my hair way too often. Like holy fuck, I didn't realize how much I shampoo my hair until I watched this video. I'm going to take your advice and hopefully I'll see changes soon. You're very right in the regard that not alot of black males are taught how to take care of longer hair, it's such a disservice. You're doing God's work brother, appreciate it!

@@bluelock700 it's well on it's way! Unfortunately during the time of the comment I was in the military so was forced to cut my hair when it got too long. But I'm out now and back on my journey to grow it out. I've noticed significantly less thinning this time around and I use this product called Viviscal for Men. It's been doing it's job pretty well, and the new growth has been coming in thicker and stronger.

I noticed when i tried dreads, my hair grew sooo much so fast
Compared to when i get braids weaves etc..
All i had to do was deep condition it, oil my scalp and get it done 1x every 1-2mons
i have seborrheic dermatitis and causes me to wash my hair with RX shampoos a lot but most of the time i flare up and i break out. Its costly for me to keep buying hair products.
I went through a extreme traumatic stressful time and my hair care and diet fell off ... now i had to cut my hair off to start over becuz of damages. Im still struggling right now even more

I'm natural too been growing it a year and my hair is draping I agree with everything you just said. I sleep in a wave cap but I also use BIOTIN a Vitamin you can easily buy at the dollar store everyday my hair and beard is strong and healthy as hell even my nails is growing like crazy.
And maybe today I’m going to get a hair cut so I’ll going to start over and watch the video everyday

Man this video is the best one I’ve seen. I’ve been trying to grow my hair since July of 2022 and it’s November and I barely have 2.5 inches. The way my ass FLEW…. FLEW to the beauty supply to get a bonnet, moisturizers and oils!! 😲I have a month and a half to make it to 3 inches. So, bonnet, water, protein, deep condition,… all that!!
