Just mounted my One to a 416 using the Gemtech flash hider mount. You literally saved me from purchasing a 1/2 x28 direct thread mount. Thanks for that!

I have one and love it
If your having problems finding bi lock muzzle adaptors contact GSL suppressors. Very friendly and responsive. As my understanding the owner patented the mechanism. I bought Gemtech when they were located in Idaho. Once they went bust and bought by S&W everything went to hell.

GSL bi-lock mounts will work, but direct thread mounts are questionable from speaking with their staff. Depending on production date, gemtech changed the thread pitch for their direct mounts so GSL ones might not work
I have a question on the quick disconnect Mount is there a particular position that it should be in? I noticed that you had a large luge on the top.Or does it matter at all
Orient based on the device. So a muzzle break with holes on top should have the holes up. The lugs will line up on their own, one at the top and one at the bottom. Which is where doesn't matter. Between my flash hider on my Mk18 and my muzzle brake on my bolt action, one has the big lug on top, the other is the opposite.
@@thecontemporarygentleman thanks for the information, I do not have a muzzle brake per se mine is actually an older flash suppressor. And does not have a top or bottom, like the A2 flash suppressor but I should align the lugs Top and bottom correct?

Are you having issues finding the quickmounts, it seem that they are getting harder to find and Gemtech keeps telling me to contact thier vendor list without luck.
Absolutely. I think I bought the last 1/2-28 threadmount in the country. I don't know if it's S&W not giving Gemtech enough love or if it's the material sourcing issues seen in a lot of industries such as mine (most likely).

I have been looking for one. Makes me fearful of what may come of Gemtech... Finding an adapter from 5/8-24 to 1/2-28 is way easier. I found one of those for $20. SS material too, and reputable company. That said, I have yet to use it.
@@thecontemporarygentleman I just don't trust thread adapters, my experience with them always lead to some sort of baffle strike lol. Called Gemtech and they are clueless about anysort of production date. The bi-lock mount is so wobbly with 1/2-28 quickmount adapters, horrible shift

@@thecontemporarygentleman Using it on a 20" AR with a 556 proof barrel. Tried the Gemtech and Lantac 1/2-28 quickmounts but the bilock mount is so loose. Not as bad with a 30 cal 5/8-24 gemtech quickmount on my 308 bolt gun
@@shibalseki8818 that's because the lugs are different sizes for 1/2 vs 5/8 guns. Gemtech did that so people wouldn't put a smaller diameter like a G5 can on a 30 cal gun. If I knew that when I made the video I'd have mentioned that.
Don't leave your suppressor in the back of an LMTV the birds might steal it.
Especially if they're hopped-up on NOS!

Meh. I wouldn’t focus so tightly on moderating the public image of my range toys I forget the right of all persons to arms recognized (not created) in this particular constitution is a category including private death stars. Call it a weapon.
