Buy the BadgerHead Here: amzn.to/2roPdDh
i bought it the last week, and today i received it (Panama). the badgerHead come with four trimmer lines (triangular shape) but are difficult to put it into the line holders. why? could i use other trimmer line?
There is a little resistance to hold the line but it should not be difficult. You may be using the wrong size line?
I am using the 0.95 line
Where can i buy other line holders?
On their website
I just ordered. FINALLY a heavy duty solution for gas trimmers!! EXCELLENT video. Thank you for putting it up.
I'm soooo tired of swearing at the plastic heads!!
Thanks for watching
Exactly the reason I'm watching these videos.
I just bought a BadgerHead trimmer and it is the best trimming head I have ever found. I would highly recommend this head to anyone.
They are great aren't they! I love mine!
Nice of you to do a free endorsement! Seriously, great review! I might look for one of these heads.
+Jim Beytien I always try to relay the info anytime I come across something that works well, especially if it's budget friendly! Thanks for watching!
Just watched you for the 1st time ... great presentation, info packed, and humorous. Will use your site, exclusively, for all "how-to" advice. Again, great job.
Jackson
+teresa carter hey thsnks for watching! Let me know if there is anything you want to see and I will do my best to make a video if I don't already have one out on the topic. Just shot a video today on "how to" change your car's oil. That video will be out soon
Nice.i already just got the echo trimmer fixed line head. I definitely needed to get rid of that tap feed that comes with these things for my nightmare yard, then it seems like just find strongest line around.about to try maxpower premium twisted 1.30.tried it with bad line, and upgrade line time
Two observations, one you don't have nearly if hardly any spray all over your legs that I'd expect from a line-trimmer. And two, you're not wearing safety glasses - consider that choice, I had trimmer heads grab rocks and shatter my face shield. Very rare but it does happen. And had to edit for another point, THREE love that bridge with the big red barn in the background. What a beautiful property...thanks for the video.
How did the head and pins hold up after a year of use , anything bed or bind or burr up making changing the string/cutter attachments a pain in the a** or useless ??? ...
This one is pretty handy buddy, thumbs up!
My 1st gas trimmer was a weed-eater brand also, it was a curved shaft, was powerful and lightweight, the only issue was the bump head, had issues resetting the string every time while weed trimming. Don’t have that weed-eater anymore. Wish I would’ve had the badger head or a different type of hassle free head so cause the bump head was a pain to reset the line.
That a boy!! Congrads on almost 1000!! WHO is doing commericals now! LOL!! Great review of a great product!
+Aaron Nelson Hey Aaron how u been? When u gonna grow those long locks back???
Same old bud! Haaha takes about a year!
+Aaron Nelson shootchea. Been about 10 years since i cut my hair feom past my shoulders. I need to bring it back!
I am still testing my BadgerHead. The second time I used it the head flew off. It seems that the right hand threads of the extension unit unwound. I will retry by making it tighter and using LockTite. It is a shame they did not make it a left hand wind.
What’s the sense of keeping this page up if you can’t friggin find any - amazon says unavailable!!!! Come on!!!
Huh now that is pretty clever! Looking for new option for the workshop yardwork that is more efficient.
Might have to get a few of those for my two stihls and my husqvarna 525L. Hopefully they are not too powerful for them. I have a stihl FS-250R a KM-94R and the Husqvarna 525L. All pro series and very powerful. Would be nice but don't want to over rev the engines and fry the cylinder/piston assembly.
Thanks for your video. I need help in finding parts for my 25cc just like yours which is 23cc. I need the whole trimmer head part you remove and replace it with the badgerhead. Thank you
What base cutter do you have that badger head attached to?
I spend more time changing the wire than I do working on the yard-THANK YOU!!! (p.s put on your protective eye gear)
Thanks for watching Daniel
Yeah same... the bump ones are the best... I'm doing a few double cut jobs right now where I plan on comparing if there is any weed whacking difference between a traditional double line bump head and these multi line ones
Awesome weed whipping head... Thank you for showing how well it works.. it's so much better when a person I'd only talks about it but also actually shows you how well it does work. Thank you for taking the time to show that for us.. And I must say " Hercules" WOW you pull the hell out of that weed whipper to start it lol.. :)... Thanks again....
+C Kuhl hey thanks for watching! This thing really does work great. Ill never use another weedeater head
it sounds like you have just as many trolls as the rest of us lol... good video and nice head there. what keeps those pins from releasing during use?
Awesome have to get me one
this looks like a pretty sweet little deal. never seen one of these before
+Adam & KT it is a sweet little deal. I love this thing! More videos coming out soon on this!
anybody know if The Badgerhead is still available or where to get parts for it?
NOT.. busting your chops. But how does it work after you have been running it a while. Do the quick dettachs work smooth with grass/sap/dirt built on them?
Cheers
MJ
Have had zero problems even after a lot of use
How does the original head come off?
Thanks a lot. :D
Thanks for watching!
Great
What would you say is the #1 advantage of the badger head? Would you say it's easy to swap out the blades?
Swapping out the blades. Super easy
No eye protection? You are much braver than me!
Nice video
+Tiffany Chen thanks for watching! Love this Badger Head!!!
There's a honeymoon period for this head where people love it, and it is a cool design. When they've used it a while, the honeymoon is over. Users find the plastic string holders melt, deform, and jam. The magnetic pins jam up with weeds and are hard to remove. If a $45 dollar head lasts 1 summer, and a $15 head lasts 1 summer, better off buying a cheap one, right? Or, just muddle along with the bump head that came with your trimmer, and learn to use it. They're a headache, but last more than a summer.
Hmm. I've had this for over a year now and nothing has melted or failed period
@@WHOTEEWHO You've been lucky, the Amazon reviews report problems. I am not running down the Badger Head. I think it's the best in class, but it's a very weak class. None of the pivoting heads work or last very long in tough conditions. They take a brutal beating, and the working parts are exposed to near supersonic weed stems. The Pros seem to stick to the bump heads, they seem to like the Echo heads.
great video
+Mark Richardson thanks Mark! Glad I found this doohickey!
It's amazing. It makes you so much quicker, almost as if you sped up the playback. Also, of all the places you could have recorded you did the one spot where you have to pixelate a large chunk of the screen. Who knows why because nobody cares what that sign says anyway.
So weirdos don't come to my house
Disingenuous video bruh
Wow! That really cut through the thick stuff.
+Bob Wies love the badger head!!! Seriously, the best weedeating I have ever done! Makes wuick easy work of even the really thick stuff
very kool product
+DriveShaft Drew hey thanks Drew! I really love this thing! I wish I had it years ago
I'm going to have to try this I wonder how it would hold up with my 4-cycle Craftsman 34cc
+keithii84 I am sure it will work even better with more horsepower. This thing is built very well. Mine is only a 23cc
WHO_TEE_WHO yeah I used to have a weed eater but it was a bent shaft and it was one of the older models and I think they were at 25cc
+keithii84 I actually have 2 of them. I have had one for over 4 years now
I like that! Pretty cool!! Thanks!
+John Toothman this weedeater head works great! Especially around my place where I am always having to switch to cut thicker stuff
WHO_TEE_WHO We have a small horse farm an it's always a pain to weed wack. So just like you, I'm always looking for something to do a better an faster job. Thanks again.
+John Toothman faster always better! I spray weedkiller all over the place once a year except to where my wife wants it to stay "pretty"....keeps me feom having to weedeat ALOT!
WHO_TEE_WHO Can't use it with the horses so all I have is the weed wacker. :(
+John Toothman ahhhh yes that makes sense. You can do some pretty awesome stuff with this badgerhead deal
Question about the Badger- In order to get more string on the head do you have to swap out pieces every time like that?
I am not sure I understand your question. If the trimmer sting becomes worn down you simply have to put more trimmer string back through the little piece that holds the string
Sorry. Poorly worded/thought-out question. Thanks for your info.
Hopefully I answered your question. Badger Head works pretty darn good and simple and quick to change out the blades/string
I have a question! could I use the aero flex string with this badger head?
Yup i use it all the time.
oh thanks! greetings from Panamá
Greetings!!!
They are out of stock! Do you still like your BadgerHead? Thanks for making the video.
Well darn it. Yup badgerhead is a good one. Nice to have the quick change
Out of stock. I cannot find a place to buy it.
Hi where can I buy it ? Thanks for nice video
+tony jork their is a clickable link to the website in the description box below the video. The site is wwe.thebadgerhead.com . Thanks for watching!
I have seen various videos of the Badger Head Trimmer, but I have yet to see a video to see how to re-string the line holders. How easy is it? Can you provide us a video on how to re-string the line holder, or point me to a video that demonstrated the process? Thanks
It is super simple, run the wire right through it
Lee Baca, glad I was reading comments & replies before watching video as re stringing line holder was my main interest
are those metal pins held in place by neodymium magnets?
Not sure on the type of magnet, but ive been using it for a long time now and all still holding up great
Imaging if you put sawzaw blades on it
Where is the guard, and why is head blured in first part of video? Will it not work with the guard in place.
Tool the gaurd off when I first got this trimmer so I could run longer string and never put it back on. It will fit with the gaurd on it. Head is not blurred in the video ( just checked ) might just be your internet connection. Highly recommend this badger head
One should always wear eye and hearing protection when operating power equipment like lawn mowers, string trimmers, etc.
Cant find these anywhere. Lawsuit going on or something. Company website and Amazon say unavailable
Hmm
Can you replace the string in the bits when it wears down with your own string or do you have to buy more of their string bits? It looks like a great trimmer head, but if you have to keep buying their string every time it wears down it wont be worth it for me, because I'll be buying the string all the time and that will add up big. If you can replace it with your own string it would be worth it.
You can use any type of string. They dont even make any string, meant to be used with any string, or blade u can find off the shelf
Okay great, I can slide my own string into the plastic holders where the things click onto the head. Than that make is worth it. I can take my big roll of string and cut a bunch too the size needed and have them on hand to replace when the string wears out. That makes it worth it than, it wont cost much. I am going to give the badger a try. Thanks for the video.
Yup exactly. You got it. Thanks for watching!
Yea the 25-2 auto cut. That's whats on my FS80R. When I need to go into even thicker stuff I just throw on the 3 tip steel blade. But what were talking about here is trying out other products to see how they work. Personally I prefer .095 stihl x line or the cyclone line. I was never a big fan of the square style that is the gatorline. Its to hard for just normal trimming where the mower cant get. The x line can deal with both tough spots and areas where your just doing a quick trim very well.
Too Fiddly for me...
Mine lasts me forever 2 pulls and new length.
and i can use thick nylon which lasts even longer
Is it only for gas?...
Can I use it for my sthil 56?
Can be used on just about any trimmer
I use husqvarna and Red max string. Fill the head up and forget it, no changing string to blades. It will eat through small trees, vines any weed you can throw at it. When you need more string simply bump it on the ground.
+Halfdollar 86 I will never go back after using this trimmer head. Bump heads are a nightmare to me. Always messing up and wasting time restringing them.
I'f the Red Max string is that great, I'll try it on the BadgerHead
Hello Fella, where else can I buy this head. Everywhere I look they are sold out of the unit. Can you help Sir ????
Pretty sure it went out of business
@@WHOTEEWHO Could you be able to send me pictures of the head ?? I could just make me one. Thanks fella.
Yes yes yes but how does he manage to keep on getting not a single lil scratch of cut grass on hes face, eyes, or pants after cutting so many lil trees? Incredivlee
are the pins held in by magnets or springs?
Magnets
that's already very old-fashioned
Nice head accessory, but I seriously recommend you wear eye protection when using a weed eater.
I wonder if that head would fit on a B&D Grasshog. ?
Absolutely always wear eye protection. This was one day where silly me forgot to put the glasses on
Good work on your part putting this vid together and all, but sorry, it didn't pass the test for me. Just my opinion that's all, thanks for showing and demonstrating the head.
427GT40 hey thanks for watching! What did not pass the test for you? This is honestly the best, easiest weedeating I have ever done. I dont know what else you could ask for in a trimmer head :)
Walked by computer, saw this message. I will explain fully later. Wife has an appointment I have to take her to and we are running late. Thanks
In the time it took you to write that horse shit, you could have answered his question. Of course, you could have told the world why it didn't "pass the test" for you to begin with, not that anyone will probably care.
aw that's not very nice
@@letsburnthetemple4621 Agree!
Eyes good video
Thanks for watching Peter
Nice run through, great video. I'm in the UK so the cost would be too great overwise I'd hunt you down and give you a stern taking to about wearing eye protection. Just reinforcing what others on here have said,I know but any other injury and you'll heal, maybe be left with scars but f#@k your eyes up... that's life changing. Stay safe big fella.
Thanks my friend! Cheers!
You were killing that engine at the end of the video
Ive been looking for one of these, like searching for the Holy Grail, seems to be unavailable
Same here. They must not be in business anymore
not sure if they are still in business, sent emails no response. not on amazon or Ebay either. When i receive a confirmation from the link above, then I'll order.
Hmm that is a bummer
Blades no longer included with badgerhead purchase nor offered on website. Hardware store purchase
BadgerHead = awesome
Sure is fast....when you speed up the film.
How many cc's does the weed eater have? It seems small yet turns the head with no problems. I would love to know the total weight of the head with the line. I read the pins attach magnetically, yet the bottom is aluminum, I wished you had shown how that part works. Finally the line looks huge, much bigger than .095. What size is it? Would have been nice to have seen you restring it start to finish. I guess I just wanted more up close and detail. It looks like a great design. Can .080 line be used, sorry if you addressed it in the vid. When did the Badger Head hit the market? I only have a few days to make a decision. Thanks for the demo man!! Well done.
SUPER SNAKE - We are manufacturer of product. WHO_TEE_WHO did a great job explaining our product and we are so happy that he likes it. The line in the video is Shakespeare Ugly line 0.095". The product was designed to work with users favorite line including 0.080". We have tested and tend to link the 0.095" better but that is just choice. The other thing that is unique is the ability to use 2 or 4 cut mediums. For higher CC engines, use 4 cut mediums. For lower CC engines or thick grass, etc - you can take 2 out and use just 2 if engine seems to be working too hard. The product is brand new to the market and available through www.thebadgerhead.com and also amazaon at www.amazon.com/dp/B0745VFQ11. We would be happy to answer any other questions you may have via info@thebadgerhead.com.
Hey SUPER SNAKE! The weed eater here is a Weed Eater brand 25cc engine straight shaft trimmer. With the factory head and a few other I have had issues with this trimmer having enough power to trim the thick stuff; but with the Badger Head I am now able to cut through everything like butter! Like Vennovate Labs said, you also have the ability to choose how many blades/strings you want to use.
Thank you so much for the informative answer. It all sounds good and I can see on of these in my head collection, lol. I still would like to know how the magnetic part works, there must be some sort of metal insert made into the base that's made of aluminum. I will ask that question @ the info link. Thanks again for the detailed info.
Hey thanks TEE WHO. What material are the black pieces that you run the line through made of? Are they hard or do they have some give to them? Is it easier to restring with the pieces on or off the machine?? Lol...I bet you haven't even done it yet, it looks brand new.
There are strong magnets imbedded in the aluminum base.
The only safety I promote is common sense.
You should where safety glasses. Good vid
Thanks for watching!
He should have safety glasses on!
Why he sound like diesel creek
Great video but please wear some eye protection !!!
+PAUL WOOLRICH for sure! Yes I always wear glasses, not sure why i didnt slap them on that day. Thanks!
$50 on Amazon...and lot's of bad reviews. I know...EVERYTHING has bad reviews..makes it very hard to decide which product to take a chance on. For me, it won't be the one that costs $50.
Be careful with the metal blades! They can do serious damage to your legs! Should have some kind of guard on that! I cut my leg open once with a circular saw blade on the end of one of those. It kicked back becuase I hit a thick branch by accident and slammed right into my leg. I never again will put a metal blade on the end of a weed wacker. Even with a guard its still dangerous. They make brush cutting tools that look like your average weed eater but with special handles and a harness to have 10x better control over it. You don't have much control with weedwackers they weren't made to do heavy brush i found out the hard way! 5 stitches internally and 11 on the outside!
Good video but you should be wearing ppe
🖒🖒
Safety first. Then teamwork.
The bad Amazon reviews seem to have the same subject of bad customer service. I was ready to purchase but will pass.
I meet the developer of this at a Expo they are pretty cool
+shane chambless that is awesome! Man I would have loved to have been with you
But dose it make dinner or clean my guns ? 😁
+MuzzleMike i haven't yet yested out that those features! I will let you know! Thanks Mike!
WHO_TEE_WHO lol !
Where is the eyes protection
+Naresh Lakshman forgotten and in the garage i spose
HOPE YOU HAVE BETTER LUCK
Me too!
Doesn't look good, looks like you waste a whole lot of string with that thing and probably time changing it when it gets too short, mine just has a button in the middle to auto feed, I came across this video looking for something that works better than what I have, and this is not it.
Out of stock…. 😔
Hey this BadgerHead looks really good... But I would like to ask you to please wear some eye protection. You've only got two eyes and I don't think they have perfected eye transplants yet. I'm just saying... Thanks for the videos and reviews! Keep up the great stuff, Safely.
Oh yes, I always do. Happens to be one day for whatever reason I didn't have them on. Thanks for watching!
You forgot the most important part !... Protective glasses ???
Looks like more of a pain in the ass more than it’s worth a new echo will do better I use one at least 6 hours a day!!!
nah. echo expensive
WHO_TEE_WHO true but if the weed eater has power it will do its job and last a lifetime almost
BS.. My Husquarna 555 with 3mm line eats all of this for breakfast, and no need for swapping anything..
+vegass04 isnt the 555 a chainsaw? Also very doubtful 3mm line can quickly cut through trees wider than your thumb like here in the video. Thanks for watching!
WHO_TEE_WHO Where in the video did you cut a tree?
+Will Robinson along the driveway cut down several cedars thicker than my thumb. I am on the road now bit can find the timestamp later :)
EYE PROTECTION MY FRIEND
100% piece of junk.
Do what us pros do, run a tap head without a guard. Trim the line on a obstacle. Done.
+Dan Henderson i disagree Mr. Dan. Ive use plenty a tap heads. Tap heads = mess and frustration. The pros use the Badger Head!
I will NEVER AGAIN use a tap/bump head on any trimmer I own. Told myself that 25 years ago. I help do the lawn care at the church I attend. They have bump head trimmers. Was so glad I carried my own trimmer with me. Currently have a Shakespeare pivot head on it.
Yup. Bump heads drive me nuts
No PPE= Fail.
+Noidear72 ppe=personal protection equipment? Yup, definately a fail
Yes exactly that, I've always worked in the hard/soft landscape industry. ALWAYS protect your ears and eyes, I know from experience.
+Noidear72 yes, good advice to all. Not worth risking it
that music has to go
