immeasurable speed is basically just the speed of light, and fire force uses the law science of our world, meaning is just going at light speed, but in a power scaling term because going back to back through timeline is an amazing speed feat, we call it immeasurable, a word that came from dc when "superman fly so fast, faster than sound, light, at a immeasurable speed" said in the comic i forgot cuz it old.
Not necessarily. When we reference the Speed of light in powerscaling, we’re referring to the value at which light travels. [299 792 458 m / s]
This value is calculable as it is something we can tangibly measure, however immeasurable speed, as the term implies, is a value of movement at which breaks the speed formula we use to measure motion.
Time moves in a linear fashion meaning it determines how long space has progressed in a forward sequence in comparison to its prior state. Given that, we measure the rate of motion by determining the distance something has changed over the course of the time it took to get there.
Now what happens when a character moves past the fastest calculable speed in the universe (the speed of light)? Well Einstein proposed this idea that time reacts differently in relation to the velocity of an object. He theorized that the faster an object goes, the slower time would be relative to the object. So this raises the question, how fast would you need to be for time to completely stop? The answer being the universal constant, the speed of light.
Now understanding this, there are many physicists that theorize that any object moving faster than this would logically appear as if time was reverted back to its prior state relative to the objects movement, which is why in most forms of fiction that apply these universal laws they usually depict this result as time travel via characters like The Flash, Superman or Shinra.
So ultimately you were on the right track however, I wanted to make a clear delineation on exactly how we approach speed of light vs immeasurable speed in regards to powerscaling.
(Although the term itself probably did take some influence from DC which makes sense considering the characters and the feats they perform lol)

i have a question, time travel occurs at FTL speeds, wouldnt that mean that any speed feat that doesn’t arouse time travel is not FTL
Actually,you are wrong, they can react and fight against shinra, but that does not mean that they can travel in time
So in this series, much like others such as DC, moving at FTL speeds is actually a prerequisite for time travel. In normal cases we would determine a speed feat as just “FTL” if we can accurately calculate their speed to be above C or light speed. The reason characters like Shinra or The Flash qualify for immeasurable speed is because their raw movement speed allows for them to travel without the boundaries of linear time to restrict them naturally. However, we never place this condition for FTL characters who have never been shown to time travel. Although the logic seemingly applies at face value, it would be ignorant to assert that a character would be capable of such feats even though we’ve never seen them do it. Hope this helps!!

Hold on... I haven't read all the fireforce manga, but Shinra, Sho etc. Shouldn't they scale to Uni+ only with the grace of the evangelist? Or all the characters able to compare themselves to Shinra are Uni+ (all the captains, normal infernals, etc.)?

They no longer require grace further in the story. There are really only a select few in the series that indirectly scale to Shinra and Sho tbh.

Hey can you explain why other characters from different continuities that have characters that are ftl (like goku and naruto) would not be immeasurable even if you put them within our verse or a neutral verse that has our laws of physics.
To be simple, they didn't demonstrate time travel with pure speed.

bro, the speed of light is different all the time in fiction series.
and in fact, they don't care about those bases.
In our universe, it is theorized that nothing go go ftl. However, when a case arises of a character moving ftl you have to assume that our laws do not exist in their world. Characters that can move at ftl speeds will not be considered immeasurable/irrelevant because they still move within the concepts of time. If there is no time you cannot move, even with infinite speed. Immeasurable speeds, however, break this because it qualifies the character for being transcendent of speed, meaning the move in negative time. This is how characters are capable of moving in timeless voids (like we see in kingdom hearts). In a mathematical sense, if you take dist = speed/time, and plug in a negative for time, it breaks the equation (gives you undefined) meaning you cannot measure the speed or distance or even time, hence immeasurable. So it’s not the verse that matters, it’s just the concept of the character being fast enough to transcend speed and time

Yeah so the Big Bang is said to be the creation of our universe. Since our universe has hypervolume by occupying 4 spatial vectors or dimensions, it would stand to reason that an ability that is stated to have comparable energy to that of the creation of the universe would also constitute similar scaling. So if Sho is able to use the same pyrokinesis he fights with to manipulate an entire 4D construct (universe) and then create and rule over his own separate one, this should warrant him 4th Dimensional capabilities. @@KosuSama Thanks for the tip, I didn’t really know about the hyper volume thing with our universe, the only other instance I’ve heard of our universe having 4 spatial dimensions was from the “time is the 4’th dimension” misconception.
@@princelamar1735 yeah the time thing stems from theory of relativity. Not necessarily a misconception per say, but logically and mathematically I don’t believe it makes sense to use it for dimensional tiering since “time” doesn’t make anything bigger, therefore when comparing something like 4D to 3D and attributing something impressive to either, it’s more logical to use the difference in spatiality rather than assuming temporality is impressive at all.
