- Susan and Mark move to a seaside town to buy an old house and open an inn. They came to look at one house, but Susan is inexplicably drawn to another. The house is high on a cliff overlooking a lonely beach. Something eerie is going on. A scary black dog appears. One strange guest stays at the inn. Susan finds letters in the attic written long ago by a wife who was terrified of something. What happened then is happening again now!

I was a production assistant in this movie filmed in the town of Mendocino, Calif. in 1994.
Cooool !!!
Mendocino County is Extremely Beautiful
So is Marin County
That would have been Great.
Are still in the movie business ...or did you move on ..??
And I was Scarlet Ohara in Gone With The Wind.
Laying in bed sick on a rainy Sunday watching movies on UA-cam, even though I have Netflix and Hulu, I still enjoy these kind of movies on UA-cam.
Could you please give me a I'd of Netflix so I could also watch movies
Hope you get well soon
Same here. I'm 68 and am alone. These old movies calm my nerves a bit and make me wish I could turn back time.
Good old fashioned spooky haunted house story. No daft music, no guns, drugs and no screaming! Thanks for uploading.
“No drugs.” Lol. 😂
Agreed! I miss a ghost story with an actual plot that one cab follow and while I'm not much for the romance bits, still better than most of the trash that passes as films now.
Ok@@LavenderApogee
I am currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment so I am spending ALOT of time on my butt watching these older movies. I remember watching this one when it premiered on the Scifi Channel. I enjoyed watching it today as much as I did that night. Please keep posting more movies like it. These kinds of movies preoccupy my mind and make it easy for me to forget my troubles for awhile. Thank you.
Trina Dooley best of luck to you!
Your comment has really touched me, i am also very often at home nowadays due to some family issues and i was just reflecting on once you become an adult you pretty much get to understand life so much better than when you were a kid i.e your boss doesn't care about you all he wants is for you to make him rich, your next of kin don't care about you just provide for us, your relatives don't care about you they just want to watch you fail and all of your friends are gone by the time you clock 40 truly no one cares about you which means that you are all alone in this life, people today have become heartless, soulless, selfish and greedy animals who think of nothing else but themselves thanks 40 for the perfect vision.
hope your doing well Trina xxx
GOD BLESS U WISH U SOON RECOVERY...
Trina, hope you are doing better now. You also, Jane. hugs to you both!
After reading Trina Dooley's response; I decided to watch this movie. I too am home and fighting for my health. I have Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis plus so many more things. Not wanting pity. I can't afford cable. Plus no car. So YT and people like you that take the time to download these movies, really help those of us that wouldn't be able to watch them otherwise. I pray Trina Dooley is doing well. Thank you so very much for taking the time to upload this movie!
Praying for you and Trina
I will be praying for you both. I hope you have a great night, and get an amazing night sleep, and wake up feeling refreshed, pain free and have an awesome day!
I hope you get well soon,
Hope your feeling better.
Ulcerative Colitis is not fun.
I have the same I can’t hold my bowels I’m so sorry stay strong love
As Tom Hanks ones said: "Never kill a dog in a movie" - I agree
Ya, it's wicked, just look John Wick.
No animals
Yeah. That was sad. Poor Max who didn't need to be forgiven for anything.
Yeah right if that happened in real it's the dog or me
I would have told that lady don't touch my husband like that she's looks like she's trying to get her husband
Jeez man, don’t let a strange woman from a deserted beach rent a room who takes her clothes off and doesn’t have anything like a purse or even an overnight bag, doesn’t seem to eat, makes out with you while you’re trying to get your wife to trust you again and then disappears into a giant wave. Just don’t do it, man.
N**gahs ain't sh*t 😂
LOL.
Love old movie
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords…
Lmao😊
To those worried about Max the dog. NO ANIMALS were harmed while making of this film in 1994. It’s a movie. That’s all!
God bless u Trina Dooley , im a cancer survivor i had two at the same time an i was at stage 3 an i know im blessed to be here . You are a warrior an god bless u
One of my favorite television movies from the 90s! They should've had this movie made for theaters not just for television. This was back when films had stories to tell, it wasn't just jump scares and overly done CGI.
Thanks for the upload. I'm currently off sick with a heart condition that's getting worst, I'm feeling relaxed watching these old movies. Anything that's intelligent I appreciate.
Feel better love 😘
Just read ur posting, i lnow it's 9 months ago but how are you? I recently had hospitalization due to heart probs so know how u may be feeling. I also love th old scary films when they knew how to ramp up th fear factor by skillful direction, good actors & what made an audience tick psychologically. Current horror films are sick & gory & rely too much on f/x. So heres sending you good vibrations & good cheer 🎈🌟
@Mazy Bee, so sorry about your HD. I have had triple bypass and 5 stents. Love these movies. Try watching Catherine Cookson movies. They are all great. God bless and hope you feel better soon.
Hope Mazy and Debra are doing Okay and surviving the pandemic.
It's so sad to learn about your heart condition. 😭
Keep thanking God for making you better every single day and keep telling yourself " I'm so much better, I'm so much better and thank you God for making me so much better..."
Apparently this might be helpful.
I don't want to give you false hopes, but they might be not false at all.
I saw a terminally ill old gentleman who, after seeing his newborn grandson has made a full recovery!!!! The doctors cannot explain it!
And this isn't an isolated case.
Eat well if you can afford.
Sending you my love and hugs.❤🤗🙏📿🤲
3 million views and not featured on a single streaming service - not Amazon, Netflix, Apple TV movie library. Nada... What a waste.
I can't imagine how IMDB only gives this film a 5.0. It was quite good. No over acting, all characters seem like normal people.....not actors. Beautiful scenery. Probably the scariest dog I've ever seen on film. This movie deserves at least a 7.5, in my opinion. Thanks for posting this gem, TVTERRORLAND.
he looklike a wolf 🐺
It's CGI.
@@xmaseveeve5259they didn't have CGI back then
Is she a Harpie, or what?
I hope Trina you doing good
I have bleeding disorder and when my joints affected, I have to bed rest
These movies do pass the time
I'm fortunate that my family are nearby to help
Also my beautiful, retired racing greyhound, she snuggles up to me, cuddles and gives me tons of love!
I've had chemo, it feels as if you are dying slowly
Have patience Trina, and think good thoughts
My love to you
I hope you, also, are okay, Lorraine, and are surviving this pandemic.
I watched this movie years ago and really enjoyed watching it again. I always thought William R. Moses was a good-looking man! The "haunted" movies of these times were so much better than the blood and gore ones of the present.
Here in new Zealand anuther 7 day lock down what better than a few old nonviolent movies
Also so nice to watch a movie that's not full of vulgar language
agreed ,old time movies are better
if you want to see a really good movie watch " the ghost and Mrs Muir" it's an excellent movie.
agreed and the digital garbage is terrible. I prefer the real looking and the low budget!
I was there in 1987 -1989. Unfortunately, I trusted the wrong people and one sociopath nearly killed me one night on the bluffs. Not a good place for a woman from another state to be there alone. However, I love watching this movie and it brings back some of the good memories that I have of Mendocino.
Who else is watching in 2019????💯💯💯💯💁

Love this one.staying power for the right power like us🌩🌷💀💨🍂🌻🌻🍁🌷🌷💨🌧🍂🍂🍂🍂🍁
Gloria Sierra I'm watching. One of the few good movies that came out in the 90s.

I'm also watching, this is one good movie 🎥 👍🏽🤗
"I took a few pictures and that was it" So much for honesty.
HAHAHAHA ! Exactly! I really thought she should've gotten to have a good one stand with the ghost out of it. :D
I remember when this used to play every year for the 13 days of Halloween! Thank you for posting!
This is exactly the type of movies that I like.
The exteriors of the movie were filmed at the Camarillo Ranch Estate in Semi Valley, Calif. The gorgeous Queen Anne Victorian home and grounds are on the historic register and are used for events. The home was also used in the movie "The Two Lives of Jenny Logan" starring Lindsay Wagner and has been featured in at least one real estate commercial.
The two Worlds of Jenny Logan 😊
I love how the husband was so right about her wife changing her mind in 2 months. Funniest thing in this whole movie XD
Now, THAT is a magnificently beautiful location. I'd love to take a walk along the beach at night time or as the sun goes down during the day. ❤❤❤
Anyone here in August 2020?? Stay safe everyone!!

This movie is so good, I never get tired of watching it,thanks again for uploading
While recovering from Spine surgery I discovered all the great movies on UA-cam. Thank you for all the great postings.
Get well soon
You already well
you are welcome
I had spine surgery also..2nd time...and I'm doing the same thing. After spending time surfing for free movies, I've collected a bunch in my Playlist. This way I don't have to scrounge when I don't feel like doing anything but vegetate and have my mind occupied by nothing important, like a mindless movie. Sometimes I get surprised and what I thought would be mindless was anything but. It is a treat when I find gems.
When I decided to watch this movie I didn't know anything about it so it was a pleasant surprise to see that it was filmed in one of my favorie places on Earth. The 1990s weren't a happy decade for me but Mendocino and surrounding area holds happy memories for me.
He called from a phone booth! An actual phone booth!
I know of what you speak.
What’s so weird about a phone booth.
i see better comments on classic movies than the newer ones so here I am watching these oldies but goodies movies
I've always been a fan of this movie. Great house and pretty scenery. I would love to live in the 'real' inn. Good cast... Ally and William seem like a believable couple. Ally comes across as having a sympathetic vulnerabilty. Nice spooky haunted house mystery. Beautiful shot at 1:26. "We're OK, we just don't have any money" ;)
7th month from start of lockdown and I’m still watching 5-9 horror movies a day....short and full movies. Keep safe everyone.
I remember this from years ago. It’s still as wonderful and creepy as ever. Thanks for sharing.
This was a good movie. No it is not along the lines of Twilight or anything. This is an older type of horror/suspense. I liked that it was not totally low budget as is a lot of horror movies made around the same time. Enjoy!
I was woken up this morning by my son who said that the phone downstairs is ringing and ringing. So I thanked him and I picked up the hand set by my bed( the ringer is turned off) and I dealt with the caller and had a very nice conversation.
Fell back to sleep and later went to thank my son for letting me know about this call. He was bewildered and said he just only got up.
After a long discussion we still don't know what had happened! He truly never told me about this call and I must admit that l thought there was something not right about the look of my son - his glasses were a bit different.
He doesn't walk in his sleep and where would he get this glasses from. They were hexagonal shape, gold!!
I'm so confused.
The phone call was genuine and it's on my incoming calls. 😮
Very odd
In real life, some people do acclimatize to hauntings. Years ago, I had lived in two actively haunted houses before. I have seen spirits in my 20 years of adult life. There's one particular ghost in my life. He oftentimes comes to my defence, whenever I'm in any spot of danger with harmful spirits, criminals, fire, etc. He never reveals his identity, never appears. He very rarely speaks, only if necessary. I once asked him why he'd been saving me, he told me I reminded him of his daughter.
I once rented a house in Willowbrook, Illinois. First night there, heavy footsteps coming up from the basement when I was the only one in the house. Terrifying. Yes, there was absolutely a ghost. After a while, I got used to the noise and practical jokes (locking doors that had no locks) and made the best of it. I called the ghost Fred. It was an old farmhouse and I'm guessing Fred was an old farmer.
This is the perfect kind of early 90s horror. Not gory just a good plot with supernatural elements. Good movie. I'm glad I found it. Her husband btw was a slimeball in this. Having already cheated, he puts himself in bad situations with another woman, only to cheat again (kissing the girl when she takes off her clothes). His wife (the outcast from The Breakfast Club) is too good for him in this movie. His condescending attitude is just bad news. I was once that guy. Never again. Still working on myself at 44.
Classic brilliant movie despite few cons there, I must say was definitely worth watching and would recommend it for sure. I would give it 8 to 9/10. Thanks for the upload.
This is a great movie!
Thank you so much for sharing. 😁👍💗
"Mark, there's something wrong here."
"Yeah, you're trespassing into someone's home."
LOL, Mark.
A Adams wwee
I didn't like that Mark the second I saw him. Looks like some punk and has a nasty attitude.
love ur furbaby :) xxx
@@staceykersting705 right. I just knew he was a jerk the minute I saw him, then when he snapped at her on the porch but was all nice to the strange lady on the beach... hell nah.
My first thought was that Mark would do well to lose Susan as fast as possible.
i love classic movies ....thanks for uploading.
Thank-you so much for posting this movie . Ireally enjoyed watching it once again. IT is a good mystery!

Watching in 2020! 😀
Everytime I see Ally Sheedy I see her scratching the dandruff out of hair hair on to a drawing. If you get that let me know lol
Was that The Breakfast Club. I remember her in a movie with Sean Penn, Bad Boys, it may have been her first movie.

Every time I see Ally Sheedy, I see her holding the Prince "1999" album in the library, or wearing a Purple Rain t-shirt in Maid To Order. She had a thing for Prince, lol.

and an Ally Sheedy flick I haven't yet seen. Thank you for posting this.
Thanks for posting good

Really good movie for those who love supernatural ones without blood and gore.
Thx for all the uploads, TV Terror :) Much appreciated:)
I love Alley Sheedy and Billy Moses. If you can remember the 80's, you'll know why. :) This movie may be cheesy but I am gonna watch it anyway. :) Thanks for posting. I love 80's and 90' movies.

Haunted seaside movies should never be filmed in California. There is something about New England beaches that add a touch of the macabre to good horror flicks.
that´s why the film is so bad... New England would be just perfect, indeed!
both coasts have their own cachet when it comes to ghosts. Coronado Inn in San Diego is one of the most haunted places into the country. new England has its share of seaside haunts as well.
We have colder light and harsher lines up here.
atlantic1119 - New England's rocks gives shoreline a dangerous quality, especially in silhouette. When white water surges aganst it, it splashes back and up, looking wild and tempestuous. The hardness of rock gives it a fortress like effect that is simultaneously foreboding - as something inpenetrable.
Yes its the Salam Gothic touch. California is to new and shiny.
These two don't need anyone else to ruin their marriage, they are doing a bang-up job all by them selves. They seem to be deliberately bent on doing everything to destroy their relationship-
+King Perkins The woman is pretty dumb. She wants to buy a house to convert into a business, then changes her mind to a different one because she has a "feeling" about it. The husband says they may have to cash in their retirement fund and insurance policies to pay for it, and she says "fine." Whatever. I guess there's no possibility of it not working out and you guys dying penniless.
Exactly! Surprised the marriage lasted the whole 2 hours 😂😂🙌🙌
@@aadams1006 ugh, he discounted every damn thing she said, he was an ass
@@nativechique7589 right. I think if their communication was better they wouldn’t have gotten into this mess to begin with! She’s working a lot so he decided he needs to have an affair, then made *her* feel like she had some blame in it! She may had blame in being gone, but not him sleeping with another woman.

I used to go to Seacliff all the time growing up, I'm surprised I never heard of this movie!
Thanks for this awesome flick!
But I also really loved the house!!! Lovely Victorian!!! :) It really was dreamy, overlooked the ocean and all that. Awesome! :)
How does a ghost who died more than a hundred years ago know so much about messing with natural gas, electricity, and electronics?
Evidently, the flesh body died. (The spirit lived on watching and learning.)
It's through energy ⚡ frequency
That's a good one :)

One of my favorite movies. Thank you... 💗
Great movie thanks for posting it!
The spirits were always there but only became a problem when Jeremiah Hastings (the ghost) saw Susan, as she reminded him of his wife. He wanted her to live in the house and he wanted her as his own.
I liked ghost lady
And on the other side of the coin the ghost and Mrs Muir both movie and television series. And dark shadows. All great!
Cheers for the upload!
Great movie! Thanks for uploading and sharing.
Thank you for the movie.. I'm sick today so this was nice..
A moment of silence for Max the dog
oh no !.....i read comments before i watch the movie......i don't care who dies as long as the dog lives....CRAP !
Thanks for the spoiler with out the alert...
Night wolf thank you, I really don't want to come across any scenes where animals get hurt or killed. So it helps to know ahead. Either I watch and skip ahead when I think it is getting close, or, and this is my usual course of action, I just don't watch.
@@randalllaue4042 Not necessarily true.
Theodore Coleman people ain’t shit
I find it dubious in the 51 years she has lived in the house nothing strange happened until this couple arrived.
That's what I was thinking too!
and how convenient she dropped dead the day they move to town wanting her place
Leonie White because wife awakened to sensitive gift and remodeling... plus extra suite to rent, funny did not have walk through with daughter, or wonder why walk did not show up on blueprints needed for renovations... I would have searched basement for tunnels and cave, beach property allowed for guests.
because Jane looked and resembled the lady who was gone for so many yrs.. pretty simple to see how that all pieced together and why the ghost did not reveal itself until the couple moved in...
Leonie White 🤔
Thanks for posting this movie.
Thanks for the upload @TVTERRORLAND! I'm gonna haunt you! 😱
I've watched this movie for several times so far . It's a kind of film, we can relax during the day and be scared watching it at night . Some Brazilians do believe, that souls were able to materialize in person in the past, so people could watch them. Nowadays it's very rare that it happens. In the past there weren't so many inhabitants and advanced technology like Internet .
A very watchable film, all round good work. A family movie, for the older child.
Thanks for posting been looking for this movie for ages
"You can check in but..." Good one!
Great movie, I enjoy it a lot. Thank you very much 👍🏾
I'm writing this from the view of a psychology major. It seems since she had a sixth sense about her ( the wife) she was more in tune with the going on about the house and she looked so much like the wife of the original owner is why the hauntings continued and the old women died so the new owner could move in.
The one thing that amazes me is the girl that had the room and on the stone of hers at the grave it said,"wolf". To bad noone every noticed that. Good movie and mystery.
Thanks for uploading! Nice to see this one again. I have chronic digestive diseases and can't get out much anymore. I watch more UA-cam than any other channel.

Some people dislike her character, because of the way she treat her husband, but her character is spot on, women who forgive a husband for an affair tend to act that way.
I think she treated her husband great given the fact he had an affair and NOW is flirting around with this other woman
@@sleepwell4334 right?! The affair would’ve been more than enough for me to call it a quits! She would’ve never stayed the first night given his track record and how friendly they were. If I have to find a strange woman at my table with my husband, we’re gonna have some *problems.*
