Yep. I remember the days of just putting a battery in and I would be on my way and the car would charge it just fine without any registration. I thinks they added this requirement just to make more money off of the customer by having you come to the dealership to get your battery replaced and coded. Don't they have scan tools that should register a new battery for you?
Why would you not program the battery through the OBD on video for the sake of it. I needed to know more information such as are credits required to be purchased for the Obd for this function?
Hey what battery did you put in your car ?, I have a B8 A4 which is basically the same car almost and the battery that It has right now looks about the same size you’re using but the one that people are selling me looks way smaller is a size 94R (H7/L4) 800 amps, the other one is size 49 (H8/L5) 850 amps and the other one is size 95R (H9/L6) 950 amps
