Hey guys! I hope this video gives you a great idea of what the new "The Gamblers" Campaign from Baltic Dragon will be like! Big thanks to Mr. Baltic Himself for allowing me to take an early look at this awesome addition to DCS World!
I hear the Gamblers or the Swamp Foxes KMMT almost ever day.... Even when the ground shakes the local wildlife don't even flinch but look up and do... Ahhhh the sound of freedom...
Looks like an interesting campaign. Not sure it will be enough to finally convince me to buy and learn the viper though! One thing I noticed you saying during the video was "IP point", which is a bit like saying "ATM machine". The P already stands for point, so you can just say "IP".
Thank you. I just bought the campaign. 1:08:40 probably because you didn’t cursor zero the TGP so the slewing carries over to all steerpoints which explains your navigation tadpole being off.
Great video as always. I just picked up the campaign today as it was released. Just finished the first mission. All I will say is, it a great start, and it GOT ME, I was eating and had to drop my food. I Triple check my keybind. Ran the mission 2 more times just to see If I was tripping. I use the thrustmaster TQS as throttle and thought something was wrong. Way to go guys, I can't wait what you got for us later on in the campaign. Let me know how you handled the situation lol.
If changing the weapons was an option I would’ve considered carrying a jammer on the centerline to jam any fire control radar of SAM’s fighters or radar directed AAA I know the F-16 has a limited internal fuel capacity of about 7000 pounds but depending on your altitude and speed and how many times you hit the tanker you could have opted to carry more munitions instead of the wing mounted tanks as well.
I can't help but wonder if this campaign was inspired by the book "Viper Pilot". Thanks man, I've been looking for an excuse to break out my F16. I think this is it! What map is this on?
It was a great book, but no. Part of it is from Rain's experience when he was deployed with the Gamblers in Syria in 2014 / 2015, the second part in 2017 is descripting some iconic battles that took place - including Raqqa and pounding of Wagner forces. Rain is the host of Afterburn Podcast and former Viper Demo pilot and he actively participated in creating this campaing.
Thanks for letting us know about this. The campaign looks excellent. And I love your detailed explanation on startup and shutdown and keeping it as realistic as possible. I have been learning the F-16 all year and am 70% there but definitely still struggling with some quirks, for example, to consistently get my TGP or maverick seeker to point where I need it, or to reset them again. How did you end up resolving the steerpoint 5 bug to get it functioning correctly again? I could not follow. Also you mention some right side slip assists you to refuel - is that a little right rudder, and little left roll to balance? I assume using the beta version vs the stable version could introduce some differences to how the campaign scripting works - for which version is the campaign designed, or should it work for both?
Will you be releasing a full walkthrough once the campaign is released? Always helps for those missions I get stuck on seeing someone as good as you play through 😂
Where do i find these campaigns. Im kinda new to DCS. I have spent my time learning. Now i want to try some new things. I can't seem to find much on the DCS website.
@sageg58 yah, he said it was an early release. Thanks for the response. I did find several more under the download tab. But they seem to be free. Do you know what the difference is?
Hey spud, Im having some trouble with dcs graphics. Yes, I dont have an all out pc. My pc build is a gtx1650 gpu, with a I-5 10400 cpu, and 64gb ram. I've watched countless dcs graphics and performance video but feel lost. I was wondering if you have any adice for me? I would like to run dcs at 60fps but still decent graphics. If this is not possible with my pc I can understand. But for now Im not sure wether or not I can, i would just like to have every graphics setting wether in ncp or dcs to be taylored for me. Thanks
If you ask about the stock wingman, than yest. I stopped using them long ago as they are worthless. Your wingman here is a separate AI flight and you can choose certain tasks for him depending on situation (like in the video above: at certain points you can decide whether you attack the target or he / she does it). And more scripted AI wingman works flawlessly 99% of the time, attacking and destroying what you tell them to do without them running into the ground. Moreover, if you fail to take out the target, you will have an option to ask your wingman to do it (or sometimes the order will be given automatically, if you are - say - winchester). So this system works really well.
@@balticdragon3611 Thanks Blatic Dragon, I have never finished any of the DCS campaings that I have purchased so far due to issues with the AI and mostly because I do like flying but not micromanaging AI wingman. I will buy this campain and will give it a try. Thanks for the clarification !
Sorry, but I've just had enough of the desert and arrid terrain maps. Not knocking your video or the effort put into creating it and the campaign. But these maps are just dead, no life. That fact makes them easy and cheap for the developer to create for maximum profits as apposed to maps like europe or even asia.

Interesting!
Thanks for this video and showcasing the campaign Spud! Stellar work… as always❤
Super glad you liked the video man!
@@Spudknocker is there a release date? thx

This way of interacting with the campaign is similar to how Groundpunder Sims does it.. Works really well.. Looking forward to trying this campaign!
Having worked at Shaw and Mcentire this is awesome!!!
Can’t wait for this campaign to be available. Thanks for previewing it for us.

Awesome Do more missions from this campaign, Waiting for it to show in the store😀
Good news, looking forward for this one.

Also, you don't arm the ejection seat till you get on the runway, and safe it as soon as you coast off after landing, or even before.
17:30. - If that was indeed a F100 I'd have more questions than answers. The Turkish Air Force had retired their F100s something like 30 years ago.

Hey man the campaigns are for sale on the DCS website under the Products/campaigns tabs
@@Spudknocker that's where I was looking. I only found 2 for the f16. I guess that's all there is.

Question? Why a single Mav on a LAU-88 and not a LAU-117?
Less work on the ground crew uploading and downloading racks

Can this Campaing be played without having to interact with AI wingman?

Hi Mr Spudknocker!
Hi!
Any word on this Campaign?😀
where survey data
You forgot to switch the altimeter to Elec and turn on landing lights before takeoff roll ;)
It should be 689k not 68,9
“2weeks”?
Please don’t be April fools joke
Haha this is not an april fool's joke
"Taxi Light" You know there's no ground crew or other pilots in a video game, right?
If you don’t want to fly realistically that’s your choice

Then Kola map will be right down your valley!
Would be nice if the F-16 was actually playable. Ugh.

what is the release date?
