Here are 5 of my favorite Big Ideas from "The Progress Principle" by Teresa Amabile and Steven Kramer. Hope you enjoy!
Teresa Amabile is the Director of Research at Harvard Business School. It’s pretty much impossible to read a book on business, creativity, or happiness at work and not run into her research. She wrote this book with her husband, leading developmental psychologist Steven Kramer. In it, we learn the secret of joy, engagement and creativity at work. Hint: Small wins! On (important distinction) meaningful stuff. Big Ideas we explore include the power of our “inner work life,” the 3 key influences to optimizing it (progress, catalysts, nourishers) and how to get on the progress loop and stay on it!

    Thanks for the video Brian!
    Timestamps:
    1. Inner Work Life - How you are feeling emotional about what you are doing. Do you have a purpose? Is it meaningful? - 1:12
    2. Small Wins - Tackle meaningful goals first to create momentum, which will positively affect your inner work life - 2:20
    3. Progress Loop - Incremental frequent small wins (#2) act on a compound effect form. Make sure to identify downs that may lead you to the opposite direction (negative - opposite of progress) - Reference to "The Art of Learning", Josh Waitzkin - 2:50
    4. Catalysts - Essential to have Clear & Specific goals. W/o them it'll be basically a waste of time and energy, as we won't get anywhere - 5:28
    5. Checklist - Create a checklist of your basic fundamentals - 8:05

Hi Brian, your videos are amazing. I have been watching you for over 2 years and the way you summarize the books is outstanding. You are changing lives. Keep up the good work. Will you one day summarize the “12 rules for life” by the Canadian psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson. Thanks again Brian!

I wish you summarize books beyond the best seller. Why don't you have your own name as a brand and register it... you must find a niche and narrow it more and more. Thank you
